  • They are fantastic. Dr. K is the best vet I have been to. He is great. They seem to really care and they seem to understand the situation you are in. They understand that there is a cost, like you can't spend unlimited amounts of money on your animals. They really understand that and do the best they can.

  • My 2 yr old Chihuahua was in extreme pain and had lost use of his back legs. They got me in as first patient of the day.> From the moment I walked in the door I was warmly greeted and reassured by the office staff and technician who showed us to exam room. She took my dog's history and temp and handled him gently while also reassuring me. The doctor came in quickly and examined my dog thoroughly and explained what she wanted to do in detail to find out what the problem was. Before anything was done I received a complete breakdown of all the costs involved. They kept my dog for a few hours while they worked on hiim. The doctor called me at home and explained what she found out and suggested I come back at Two oc'clock which I did. They had treated him and done the xray which the doctor went over with me in detail showing me that he had a problem with his lumbar vertibrae. She went over what his treatment would be and expalined he needed to be confined for 3-4 wks so he couldn't jump or run around. The medications were explained as well as I was given a comprehensive handout which went over his problem in detail. When they brought him out he was bright-eyed and eager to go home. We will be going back for more laser therapy which is very reasonably priced. I can't say enough about how great the service was.

  • Excellent! At first we had to reschedule because the dog was in heat and we weren't aware that she couldn't be in that condition and have surgery. The veterinarian explained what was going to happen when he did get the opportunity to perform certain surgical proceedures on the dog at a later date. The office staff accommodated our needs with a new date and time. We dropped the dog off early in the morning the day of her surgery and waited for the staff to call us with updates and biopsy results. When the dog was ready to be picked up the office staff called and were ready with home care instructions and the appropriate diet and medications to get her through the healing period. They also scheduled the followup appointments. What really impressed me was the veterinarian called to see how the dog was doing several times over the next week and to report on the biopsy results as soon as they were available. He really cares about the animals he services as well as the pet owners.

  • We have used Banfield at this location for awhile and have alway's had good experiences and treatment of our pets here.
The nurses and docters are very informative and patient with the dogs and you can tell they TRULY care about them.
The front desk staff are very helpful with appointments as well. We like that you can pick the level of treatment options,
at this practice and they even offer generous payment plans to make it easier to afford to keep your pet in tip-top shape.
The exam rooms are all very clean, without having that terrible antiseptic odor some practices make you endure,
which is important to fur parents with sinus issues or asthma. We give these folks high marks and will be taking our,
two newest dogs to see them as well.

  • Everybody there is very friendly. They have an area there for pets to walk outside. They are fairly quick about taking care of you and you don't need to sit around in the lobby. If they need to have something done, they will do it right there. A year ago I brought my cat in for some surgery to have teeth removed and they took care of it right there.

  • They are very good but they seem expensive. We went there because it is a cat only vet. They are very cautious. For example, they wanted to do a teeth cleaning and knock her out and then pull some teeth but it was too expensive so we just gave her some dental food and she was fine the next time. For every little thing they want to do something. They wanted to give her a shot for something else but they said we needed a check up and we had already gotten the check up and they wouldn't do it if we didn't do the checkup again. The total would have been 100 and something.

  • I can't say enough about the excellent quality of the care and compassion that Dr Wiekhorst and his staff have always provided over the years. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and efficient. Dr Wiekhorst, who is the owner, as well as all of his associate veterinarians and vet techs are very knowledgeable and proficient at explaining procedures in layman's terms. For a case in point, when I first went to Foothills Veterinary, I brought in my very sick 8 year old cat, who was diagnosed with feline leukemia. The prognosis was not good as in the majority of cases, feline leukemia is usually fatal. However, with the initial course of treatment, she fully recovered. She was then perfectly healthy until six years later, when she became very ill again from complications. She was hospitalized at the Foothills facility for several days and once again made a complete recovery. Thereafter she was perfectly healthy until she passed away at the age of 18. Incidentally, at a different facility where I had to take my dog Ruby for an ultrasound 7 months ago, I was told that she had 6 months to live due to her bladder tumor. I took her to Foothills where I was given a prescription for treatment of her symptoms. Since then the tumor has actually decreased in size. Other than some incontinence, she is incredibly healthy and energetic for a 13 year old dog. Based on my overall experience with Foothills Veterinary over the course of many years, I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for compassionate quality health care for their pets.

  • They are excellent. Everybody was very friendly and the doctor was really attentive. The doctor got down on the floor with my dog, he answered all of my questions, and he?s just a really nice guy. The price wasn?t exorbitant; it was about what I expected. The doctor was called into an emergency surgery before our first appointment but we understood. They were able to fit us in later that day.
