  • OneGuard is the only home warranty company I have dealt with since becoming a homeowner so it's possible there are worse companies out there. However, our experience with them has varied from infuriating to disappointing to confusing for most of this year. It took their partner technicians months to diagnose our A/C issue during the hottest part of the year and despite record-breaking temperatures, we weren't offered reimbursement to stay at a hotel until I literally begged them to grant it to us. The incompetence of their partner and the lack of empathy on the part of OneGuard were completely mind-boggling. And if the majority of the OneGuard staff wasn't asinine enough, the repair partners they have are equally unprofessional, incompetent, and downright impossible to even talk to most of the time. Even a simple repair to our microwave has taken almost a month and is still unresolved. And OneGuard's response is just "sorry, there's nothing we can do about them." Um, you choose these partners, there's no way you can be oblivious to how awful their level of service is. There have been a few bright spots--a couple customer service reps were actually empathetic and offered us hotel reimbursement and even a service call reimbursement after I told them we had been visited by the initial technician over eight times and the second technician three times to resolve our A/C issue. Thanks for being human, Veronica and Audrianna. If you're in the market for a new home warranty company, do yourself a favor and don't choose OneGuard. I can't wait until our last service issue is resolved so I can immediately switch away from them.

  • I have never had a home owner warranty so I am not sure how they rate against others. I do know that your first contact to put in a service request is pleasant, the customer service very nice. However, when it comes time to approving anything, they lie about what they said they were going to approve and it is really an unnecessary stress in an already stressful situation. I find their approvers clearly trained to deny service or tack on more service fees. You have to call in every little issues at once or it isn't covered. If you don't know what the issue is, they will still try to just pay for one. I heard Home Serve is the best for plumbing.

  • Then found out its covered as part of my HomeWarranty, and they fixed it and had to pay only 69$! than the cost savings. Apart from this service, every other service they are very courteous, professional and send quality servicemen! I hope after their acquisition, the new company American Home Shield adopts OneGuard's Service model rather than other way around!

  • I don't normally get direct feedback regarding service calls once my clients have moved in, but I do know that OneGuard is fairly priced and has always serviced me efficiently when I have used their seller programs for my clients and/or referred my clients to them.

  • The repair company was great.  I heard from them within a couple of hours to schedule for the next morning.  The guy showed up on time - and first thing in the morning.  He checked everything out told me he couldn't find a mechanical issue at that time and guessed that the unit had frozen up.  He explained what I should look for and action to take if the problem recurred.

  • I have had two service companies come out and three visits later still no microwave that works! I could have used that $700 to purchase a few new microwaves instead of paying Old Republic $700 to not replace the microwave with a new one. After you pay two service guys from two different companies to "fix" my micro and haven't accomplished that yet, wouldn't you think that replacing the unit with a new one that costs $200 would make the most sense? I put in the first call to Republic to come out on July 9th (no response for 8 days) then a second call was made on July 16th. Finally a representative called me back on July 17th. On July 20th, 25th, and Aug 3rd service guys came to my house. It is now Aug the 8th and still no microwave...I was told today that I would have to wait two more days for a verdict or either another attempt at repair or a replacement microwave. I was told by their customer service rep that Old Republic is in the market of repairing things not replacing them! Well I am in the market for a microwave that works and not having wasted $700!

  • They should have a better contract in terms of, you should have multiple options, and better contracting in every area, because they only had one company to find a piece in this metro area.
