They came out and cleaned the coil. It took them about an hour, maybe an hour and a half to clean the coil and charged me $560.00. I was expecting about a $300.00 price tag. I was really upset about the costs, so I called around to other A/C companies and they told me I would be looking at $300.00 for them to do the same work. I feel that I was completely over charged.

They did the emergency work on my air conditioner for me when the condenser coil went out on it and they came out and replaced it. They came out and fixed my air conditioner which at the time was inoperable. They were very kind. I believe at the time I had to pay for that service and everything was about $400 or $500. Given the fact that it was an emergency and during the hot time of the year out here when they were very busy, I would say an A for price. They were the first ones to come out to actually do the work. They were very understanding.

They came out and did a function check on the air conditioning. They basically were coming out and making sure that everything was still in working order and that was a prepaid contract, I think for two years I paid like $300 or something like that for them to come out every six or eight months or so. It was basically an additional service that they offered. Waht that included was them coming out every six months or so to take a look at it check the coils, check the entire HVAC system to include the central air unit inside the garage and they basically just checked everything out, made sure everything was in working order and cleaned up necessary components and so on and so fourth and gave recommendations on future work that needed to be done. They were always very punctual. They would call me ahead of time to schedule an appointment, then I would be home. Technicians were always very prompt, very professional, they explained what they saw, made their recommendations, didn't pressure to try to get me to do maintenance. They just said hey this needs doing at some point and here's our recommended time frame. Would use again, especially for the maintenance work that they did.

The service was more than prompt. Tech arrived 1 and a half hours after calling. He found that since it was installed in the winter that charge pressure was too low and evaporator coils were icing up. He added coolant and all was well. Best part he only charged the trip charge of $65, since charge is harder to determine during a winter install. Great experience!

    Orangutan Home Services
When we put in our new air conditioning in 2008, we purchased the air conditioning through Home Depot and Orangutan was the one that they had installed it. We took a contract with them because that's where our maintenance contract is, we just stayed with them. Everything has been covered but we will have to start paying for them now and I don't know what the charges are. I would not use them again once my contract's done because I just don't think they're really thorough. The guy has been nice but the guy who came down the last time climbed up on our roof and gone down through the vent into the back of the air conditioner. That freaked him out. He had my husband get him there and take him out. I just don't have the same feeling about them I do with other places.

They called a day before coming out. Then they called about 15 minutes before they arrived. He advised me of the problems after he had checked the furnace and central air on the roof. Everything was explained in easy layman language. They did work the very same day. They were cordial, easy to understand, and accommodating. They even pointed out a couple of mistakes by other repairmen on the water heater and central air unit.
