The Budo Shingikan School of Japanese Martial Arts
This is a company run by people with absolutely no integrity and zero commitment to delivering great customer service to their clients. I purchased a Groupon for my son and it's been a nightmare. Before even completing half of the classes we already paid for, I am being billed for the next 2 months. They refused to cancel the subscription without 2 months payments for future services. Long story short, they are now wrongfully trying to collect a YEARS worth of future, unused, unwanted classes. $1500 to be exact. My Groupon was $20 and never fulfilled. We went to 3 classes. It is so disturbing to see this from a business, let alone one that works so closely with young kids who trust them. I would never let me child attend this school for any reason. CHECK REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES. SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS EXACT EXPERIENCE. I WILL be reporting to the BBB. Customers BEWARE. I should have done more research on this company and could have saved myself this major inconvenience

    Hydrotherapies Plus
Hydrotherapies Plus has been a great benefit to me as I have tried to detox. Usually the symptoms of detox have overwhelmed my system, but with Alice's Hydrotherapies Plus, it has greatly relieved headaches, nausea and other detox symptoms. Your privacy is very respected, and it's a clean safe place to help your body flush out overwhelming toxins being released into your body. I've been able to detox to a much greater degree now because of Hydrotherapies Plus. Her knowledge has also helped me understand some unexplained things in with my health. I would highly recommend this to anyone suffering from detox symptoms.

I previously had a positive review, but I deleted it and now have written a new one to warn people about this place. The individuals who run this place will call themselves a "family," but beware of questioning anything. They will try to upsell you each time your contract nears its end, pitch and require only their merchandise, and insist that you have to upgrade your membership to rise in rank. And they'll keep asking for internet reviews to increase their Facebook traffic. After being in the "family" for three years, I was thrown out. This was after 6 months of free labor and teaching the kids classes. The previous instructor left due to the abuse and pressure they put on him. They claimed I was "disloyal," because I chose to make a living, instead of helping fund the owners' lifestyles. If you're looking to join this place, keep in mind that they will not refund any "private lessons" or "kyokai" membership fees if you get thrown out... and still charge tuition while you work for them for free.

Don't be fooled by the $10 a month fee. There is also a $49.95 fee to guarantee the $10 a month fee (ridiculous) and another $49.95 yearly fee ( or something similar). Further, there is a 30 cancellation fee and that applies to Personal Training as well. In order to familiarize myself with the equipment I signed up for 3 months at $74. Big mistake. Because there is a 30 day cancellation fee, this is actually 4 months. I tried to cancel my membership on 8/15 and they are still trying to drag money out of me. Don't sign any agreements or at least take it home and read it carefully. I was a member for less than 3 months and the charges so far have amounted to $222 for 3 months personal training which amounts to someone walking around with you and counting your repetitions  (and they want $74 more) + $40 membership + 2 charges of $49.95 as described above. So far it's $362 and counting. I called their corporate office in Nevada shortly after I tried to cancel, they said they would get back to me, I'm still waiting. The only thing that's going to get trained here is your wallet.  And their equipment at the Gilbert location looks as if it were purchased at Goodwill. I have been a member of exercise clubs for 30 years and never saw equipment like this. I hope this information will save you from making the mistake I did.

Chris James, the owner of VimTrim in Gilbert, came to my house and began working with me. He first assessed the limitations of movement I had incurred from the damaged discs, he then made sure I had been given a medical release for muscle strengthening, and then we began stretch exercises. Having worked with professional trainers before, it was clear to me that Chris is quite knowledgeable in the area of physical training. By the second in-home session, I knew that I wanted to continue my muscle building with Chris as my trainer. I might add that after my second session with Chris, i bought 10 more half hour sessions at his facility in Gilbert.
Chris has a non-judgmental demeanor which invokes trust. He analyzes what you're capable of doing physically and with warmth and patience he eases you into an exercise routine that quickly builds strength. After an injury as severe as mine, where I could barely walk across a room, it is easy to be skeptical that anything will really help the pain. After just three sessions, I am moving with minimal discomfort, and I am taking less anti-inflammatory medicine.
Chris travels all over the Valley to work with his clients, and it is no wonder that he is in high demand.

I have gone to Junction about three times now and each time has been a great experience.  They do the work requested, they are professional, and very nice.  They provide honest recommendations, and fair prices.

The gym is ok but small.  Many machines are perpetually undergoing maintenance.  I paid extra for the group training classes and some were good but others were not worth the money.  It definitely depends on the teacher.
Ultimately I cancelled to work with another gym's group training classes.  I was told that I needed to come into the gym to cancel the membership.  When I did, I was told that this would cancel after two more billing cycles.  I clarified with the gym employee that two more billing cycles did not mean two more months but was two more 2 week cycles.
I am usually billed twice a month and pay $37.50 during one billing cycle and $12.50 during the second billing cycle each month.  On 3/5/14 I was billed $37.50 and I expected to pay $12.50 on 3/19/14 and then the membership would be cancelled.  However I was again billed $37.50 on 3/19/14.  When I contacted the gym, no one bothered to follow up with me.  I feel that they were dishonest with me regarding their cancellation policy and unprofessional by not following up and explaining this to me.

    La Fitness
I joined the club, attend fitness classes there regularly, work out on equipment also regularly, use the spa and the locker room. I am very pleased and impressed. I feel very comfortable there. I've tried other gyms and this one offers classes at times I can go, people are friendly, and the hours are long so I can work out when I want. Equipment and facilities are clean and in good shape, I use several LA Fitness in the valley depending on where I am when it's time to work out. All have been good. Greenfield and Baseline is my fave !!

    Infinite Healing Center
I have been seeing Dr. Tony Rodriguez and Dr. William Nelson for the past couple years.
Dr. Rodriguez was recommended by my family physician for a sports related injury I had. Unlike other Chiropractors I have been to in the past, Dr. Rodriguez incorporates physical therapy into his chiropractic care to strengthen muscles that will keep you aligned. This approach has been VERY effective and helped lessen the number of visits I needed. He really wants to get you healed and back to doing your normal activities.
I have seen Dr. Nelson for hCG, B-12 Shots and Hormone Therapy. All of these services have dramatically increased my quality of life.
He is Naturopathic Medical Doctor uniquely trained in both conventional and alternative medicine which I find to be a great combination.
They have other services for general medicine, massage therapy, acupuncture and hypnotherapy which I have not used but wouldn't hesitate to do so given the quality of their staff.

Joined Lifetime Fitness In Gilbert, Az. in July 2012, left them at the end of November 2012. Didn't have much trouble getting on the equipment we wanted to use. Joined more for the swimming pools that anything, but, found that the hours are so restrictive that our grandson had to swim outside in the full sun most of the time. We told Jayson on October 1st that we wanted to leave the gym, and did not realize that he made the last day November 30th. (They do reguire a 1 month notice, which apparently Jayson couldn't figure out.) No areas to mark for cleanliness in above list but found indications of potential problems like bandaids floating in the pools along with other stuff like pockets of stuff on the pool floors, items in the area between the 2 indoor slides, dirty floors in locker rooms, etc... Left this place because we were tired of members strutting around, throwing weights, grunting and failing to clean up after they used the equipment. Trying Planet Fitness in far so good. The staff actually go around cleaning the equipment and sweeping the floors. Wow, never saw that at Lifetime.
