  • Excellent. I have been going to Dr. McDougal for 20+ years. He and his team are very professional and take the time to explain and review everything. The office is very nice and comfortable. I do not hesitate to recommend him to care for your eyes.

  • The appointment went very well. I usually purchase my eyeglasses through Costco and have been satisfied, but disliked the current variety of styles they had to offer. I went to Sharper Vision Eyecare to check out what they had to offer. While we were there, I was very please with the attention I received from the Optician I worked with. She worked with both my daughter and myself in trying styles and felt she gave an honest opinion regarding what styles worked and did not. She even went into the back to find more options when the ones we were considering weren't quite right.
I have to explain why I gave them lower grades on billing. Since this was a private office, I expected to pay a higher price for services as compared to what I'm used to in Costco (private offices simply can't compete with the break in prices manufacturers provide to Costco). I expected to pay about $350 to $400 and the final cost came to about $430. The trouble is that this was because we stumbled upon a 50% off sale. I doubt I would have proceeded with the order if it was over $800 at full price. With that said. I felt very comfortable discussing finances with my Optician and she offered a variety of options to help work the payment of the glasses into my tight budget. I've placed the order and am waiting to pick up the final product (about 2 weeks).
Overall I am please with my decision to work with this practice. It was my choice to continue with the higher price and I do believe the service that the followup services I may need will be worth the extra expense.

  • Terrible experience. We spent over an hour in the waiting area. After finally being put in a room, we waited another 45 minutes for her exam. No apoolgies. Waiting room was full (about 25 patients). They obviously overbook as routine practice. This is a factory for maximizing profits.

  • Everyone is very professional and friendly from the time you make the appointment, to the exam, and then with the help in picking out the frames for your new glasses. We are extremely happy with the customer service and personal attention given to us.

  • I have been a patient of Dr. John Chrisagis at Tempe Eyecare since 1988. I find him to be extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I have a couple of conditions he is watchful of, one called cupping, the other is a family history of glaucoma. Originally I wore contacts, however, now I only use glasses. In addition to being very professional and personable, he is so honest about not trying to sell me something I don't need. For example, the last several visits my prescription has changed very little. Rather than trying to sell me glasses I don't really need, he advised that drug store readers would be sufficient, and that I really don't need bifocals as my distance vision is almost 20-20--it has actually improved with age!

  • I have been a client of this office for many years, and everyone is very professional, helpful, and accommodating. For this particular experience, the glasses came back from the lab with some imperfections, so Jake was on top of it and made sure that they were returned to be re-done correctly. I appreciate the conscientiousness to get the order just right. I will continue to use this provider for my eyecare needs.

  • They are always exceptional to me.  They have store all over the place.  I wear glasses everyday so I had been there for a checkup.  They are very good and trustworthy.  I have been going to him for 8-9 years.  The office is very nice.  It is comfortable there.  They are always very good and let you know what is going on.

  • I made an appointment with Dr. Jamal for an annual retinal exam to check on previous surgery. Having moved to this area in June, I needed to find a new retinal doctor to continue monitoring my retinal health. Dr. Jamal was referred to me by my PCP. I made an appointment to see him at the Vineyard office. The wait time was not out of expectation for a medical office. Everyone I saw was professional and thorough. As a result of his tests (dyed eye photography), he detected some inflammation, for which he prescribed some anti-inflammation eye drops and set up a follow-up visit. After this treatment, the follow-up showed that this treatment was a complete success. I expect to continue to see him on an annual basis for a check up or would not hesitate to call him should a future problem arise.

BTW, the Vineyard office was a little difficult to find. Go to the intersection of Vineyard and Kiowa and enter the building complex west of that intersection. The office is the first building on the right.

  • My experiences with Dr. Wooten and Dr. Mgeehee have have always exceeded expectations. If you get an appt. with them you can expect superior care. However my most recent appt. was with Dr. Hiatt. He diagnosed my dry eye condition with "well, you're over 40, you live in a desert, and you're a woman". He suggested eye drops. The second Dr. I went to ( at another practice) sugested gel eye drops. The pain is unrelenting, and restasis is no help. I hope the next dr. I see can actually help me, Dr. Hiatt is no help. In addition, Swagel Wooten took ALL OF 8 MONTHS to remit me the money my insurance paid after they demanded payment in full at time of service. I feel sorry for Dr. Wooten that Dr. Hiatt and her accounting dept. cannot provide the same level of service she does.

  • I have had 3 different appointments now and I still don't get the acuity I need to read fine print.  I've worn contacts for over 40 years and I've never had a problem getting the right prescription.
