    Senese, Dr. Mark C.
The surgery went perfectly - it was extremely well done. My complaint is the dog they keep in the office. It is disgusting to me to have a dog roaming around a medical office and completely unprofessional. It is completely unrestrained, not even wearing a collar and they allow it to accost patients. The whole office smells like dog - it's gross.

    Dixon, Dr. Timothy B
Highly professional, skilled, patient-focused. No B.S. -- total straight talk. He will take all the time the patient needs, but he is busy and doesn't waste time on small talk. Very friendly but business-like. Results amazing. Up and walking hours after surgery. With rehab, rest, and follow-ups, this major surgery turned into not much more than a multi-week inconvenience. An exceptionally fine surgeon. Referrals from other physicians to Dixon were A+. Only rating less than Excellent was on Availability only because Dr. Dixon is much in demand, so getting an appointment may be difficult. He shares a practice, and others in his group may also be excellent surgeons.

I was seen right away and I have quite sever arthritis in both knnes and hands, but the left knee is the worse. I am a candidated for knee replacement, but Dr. Robertson has kept me mobile with other means so far with out having to have this surgery, and I am really well pleased with his care. I take no pain meds either.I would stay with this group forever.

He took x-rays and let me know I had no joint damage (I have RA and it is always a concern). I had an appt with my rheumatologist soon after so we decided it was a rheumalology issue. I felt so much better knowing my knees are still ok. Dr. Wood was teally nice, and prompt.

Make sure you have paperwork indicating what problems you are experiencing. I needed another MRI because the one I had in Alaska was not compatible with VA protocols .

    Digioia III, Dr. Anthony M.
He does knee and hip replacement surgeries and he is better than excellent. He produces his own DVD on how to deal with the pain you are feeling. He has a support team of people who had knee replacement done by him before and they volunteer their time to come in and meet with you and to talk with you about their experience. This is on a whole different universe than most doctors. All the people in his office are absolutely superb and they are available 24/7 with even the most minor concerns. The kind of care they give is exhaustive. Dr. Digioia controls an entire floor at Magee-Womens Hospital and the only people who ever are on that floor are his patients. He is a tireless doctor and does something like 400 knee replacements a year. His support staff and his physical therapists are excellent. Generally, the physical therapy is done after the knee replacement surgery. However, he gave me a prescription for physical therapy for six weeks before the surgery to build up those muscles to the best point they could before he even operated on it. Then I continued with the same therapy afterwards. As a result, I had range of motion that exceeded all expectations and my recovery was very rapid. When I went to him for consultation, he said that I am not going to operate on you until you lose 50 pounds. He said why should I even waste my time on somebody like you unless you lose weight? Some people would give him an F for that. However, the tendency for infection is greatly increased with obesity and the successful recovery is greatly decreased with obesity, so he was absolutely right and had the courage to confront that with me. He has a very blunt approach, but then his support staff comes in and they kind of soften the message. However, his approach made me lose some weight and I kept it off afterwards, which helped me more than just with the knee surgery.

Dr.  Cohen changed my life with my left knee replacement. I have rheumatoid arthritis and osteo-arthritis caused by a car accident. This resulted in a shattered left patella and 2 broken femurs.. Consequently there was a leg length difference for which Dr. Cohen had to compensate in my surgery. It took a lot of extra operating time but he straightened my leg and made both legs the same length. He is a perfectionist. It took extra operating time but I no longer need a walker or cane. I'm even playing golf again.

    Jabczenski, Dr. Felix F.
I have seen Dr. Jabczenski since 2002, however my last surgery was in 2010. He is well known, well credentialed, and the best surgeon in town. I am a polio survivor and I have specific issues because of that. I like that Dr. Jabcenski works on unique cases like mine and has experience with polio survivors. I will continue to se Dr. Jabczenski.

It is an excellent facility. It is a large building and each doctor has his own separate area. They are just great all around. Both the doctor and the physicians assistant knew what was going on with my knee. They knew what to do and they both conferred with each other. I had an appointment with the PA, but the doctor came in also to check things. They both were interested in the care I received. Everyone in the office deserves an "A". I would highly recommend others to use them. It was a great experience. They were right on time with their punctuality. The communicated very well with me and each other. They went out of their way to make sure I knew what was going on. My knee is wonderful now. I was really concerned and worried when I first had trouble with it. I followed their routine and it got better and they let me know they were available should anything else happen with my knee. The administration is excellent. The billing must be excellent because I haven't received a bill for anything. They were able to get everything to go through the insurance. I would certainly use them again.

They were just all right. I wasn't wild about them; they were okay. The staff was fair. I didn't wait too long. They were okay for their services.
