    NOVA Home Loans
I worked with Kara Van Winsen and it was a horrible experience. She did not follow through on the loan and I had to start working with the manager. She pulled my credit when we discussed waiting to see what rates were first. She offered me a credit fro her mistake and didn't put it on the final loan paperwork until I called her on it. She put cash back on the loans and when I asked for the them to be removed she stated that I could just pay them back at closing and wouldn't adjust it. That would have cause my loan payment to be higher fro the entire loan. I had to start working with the manager to finish my loan. Please do not use NOVA. It was not a good experience.

    Wells Fargo Bank
Even though the three signatories were in different states, the small business rep. was able to open the account while I waited because he obtain necessary information from the internet and reached the two, out-of-state people by phone to finish the process.  I walked out with the temporary check book and am awaiting the free initial order of checks.  And there was even a new acocunt bouns of $100 once we made at least a $150 deposit!

    Wells Fargo
After a terrible experience at another Wells Fargo branch, where they said what I wanted done was not possible, I followed my lawyer's advice and went to another branch.  I was served immediately, and I explained to the banker that the other Wells Fargo branch manager said my family members had to come into the Tucson branch to be signed up.  This is not possible because they live in Indiana and Minnesota. After much arguing and wrangling, I left the bank determined to change banks. So I told the young lady at the second branch there MUST be a way to get my family members' identity confirmed in a way that could be done in their own towns and would be acceptable to Wells Fargo.  She made one phone call, and took care of the problem.  She found the right paperwork, filled it all out (and it was long, esp. for 3 people!), put markers where each person had to sign, and even gave me envelopes to mail the paperwork in!  She did what the other branch (and supposedly their legal department) said couldn't be done.  I left as one happy customer.

They contacted me about unusal charge and we determined it wasn't correct.  The card was shut down and the charge was removed.  They sent new cards within a week.

I had heard good things from people that I work with and I really like them for their customer service. Everyone is very friendly for one thing and another is if you have to wait in line more then ten minutes, there is a problem in their opinion. In fact one time my husband and I had to wait more then ten minutes and instead of just saying we are sorry you had to wait that amount of time, they gave us a gift card for $25.00. When we got married, we got married two years ago and they mailed us a gift card for $25.00. I like that pedicular location because they work with an art coalition and display local art work. Some if for sale and some is not. I liked this one photographer and his work went down and I couldn't remember his name. Someone went out of their way to find out who he was and get me in contact with him so I could purchase some of his work. When you go in you have coffee, water and wifi if you want to use that while your waiting. I was in a office a couple of weeks ago because that location is closer to where I work. There was a little bit of a line at the ATM and I wanted to grab a bottle of water. My husband and myself were upset when we first got direct deposit because he used to have to go deposit his check when he got it and we were upset that we didn't have to go to our credit union anymore. People think I am crazy because I really enjoy going to my credit union. We find excuses togo out of our way sometimes go to our credit union. I kind of looked into their CD's and they seem to be slightly better then the average. They seem to be willing to work with you and maybe that is because they are a local credit union. We haven't really used those kinds of services but I do keep am eye on the percentages and they seem comparable.Customer service is great and anytime I have to call them they are able to resolve any issue over the phone without having to go down there. Not that I would mind. Responsiveness is between an A and a B because it depends on the day of the week. I have to give them an A because the only time the seem to be slower is after a busy weekend or a holiday weekend.

    Chase Bank
I bought a car today from a private party. Went to Chase for the cashiers check and noarty. They made it so easy. The notary knew just what needed to be done to tranfer title. They even made a copy of the title for the sellers. All no-charge. I've been banking with Chase since 1994.

I like them because I can go online to get all my information and they are always there 24/7. If you need any ATM anywhere, you can get refunded up to 11 dollars for a fee.

I have done business with MSUFCU for many years while I lived in Michigan. When my wife and I moved to Arizona, I had several medical bills from my wife's chronic illness that had consumed most of my credit, and I needed a second mortgage on my house to cover those and the costs of finishing our new house. MSUFCU came through for me with a loan that allowed me to consolidate the medical bills and landscape our unfinished yard long distance. The process was quick and painless, and we received our loan in almost no time, considering the distance. Customer service is the best that I have ever experienced from a financial institution. Their rates are competitive, and given the choice between MSUFCU and another institution, all things being relatively equal, I will go with MSUFCU.

    Bank Of America
In three tries, they couldn't do it!  The problems included: the account was opening in California and Arizona branches can't access the documents, they couldn't decide what approvals they needed from us, their internal mail system, didn't work.  Whedn they suggested trying the first method again, we left and closed the account.

    Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union
I had a loan with this credit union from a few years back. That was a very good experience to get the loan. Later when they were transferring the loan to Centennial Lending, there were issues with the transfer and I needed to speak with someone. I tried to contact Maritza repeatedly. She contacted me a few weeks later after I put in complaints.  In the past year I have tried a couple of times to call in to ask about loan services. The most recent one was a few weeks ago. They don't answer(calls again go to Maritza) so the call goes to voice mail. Calls do not get returned.
