A gentleman name Sam came right out when I called and before opening up the washer and having to charge me he tried a number of things to see if maybe something was just stuck ( a sock stuck in the drain , he not only tried once but tried a couple of times but finally had to open it up and sure enough it was a broken blade on the pump! Within 30 min, he went back to his business and returned with a new pump and 45 min after he got back everything was working like new! Not only that he had cleaned things up so you wouldn't know anything went wrong to begin! Great young man and great job!! I would recommend this company and Sam any time!

The technician was late for both of the initial visits for the repair, providing no reason. The repair was simple with it only taking 5 minutes to replace the part (although it had to be ordered which is why there were two visits), but they charged $240, which shows an extremely over-inflated price for the part. For the initial repair, they replaced the door-latch of the washing machine which fixed the problem for about 3 weeks and then it broke again. When I asked them to come back again, they initially said it would be at no charge to re-evaluate, but then they called the day of the appointment and said the technician would be delayed. They also then changed their story about the re-visit and said there may or may not be a charge. The agent I spoke with would change her story every other sentence making it impossible to get a straight answer, making it clear that they did not intend to honor the warranty for the repair.

I noticed a build up of water in the bottom of the refrigerator starting in late July or early August, The guy came back and saw something that he should have done before. He took care of that, it solved the problem and there was no charge. The work was great. They were very professional, punctual, and the fact that he admitted that he had not done everything he needed to do the first time, and didn't charge for the follow up was super.

Carlos is a Rock Star!  His professionalism, integrity, knowledge and experience were outstanding.  While he was waiting for a part, he always kept me updated on the status of the order without me having to ask.  Thank you so much.

Terrible!!!!  Frost appliance is not reliable, non professional with the exception to the very kind and responsive representative we spoke to initially on the phone;  she was great but the technician was incompetent and his father was outrageous to even utter such profanity in front of customers and the children he brought with him .  And on top of that they did not clean up the water left on the floor.  Hopefully me and my family will never have this kind of experience again through Angies list referrals

My ice maker wasn't generating any ice..tech. came and said he couldn't fix it. He didn't even move the built in refrigerator to check. He said the R/O system caused the problem and couldn't fix the ice maker.. However the R/O system and built in refrigerator/ice maker has been working well since when the house was built in 2005. So how can that be the cause of the problem he didn't go any further than that.  He was explained that so how can that be the caused and leave the ice maker still not working.  He couldn't answer back. The water from fridge hasn't taste the same since he shut off the R/O line. However had the audacity to charge $115 for no repair and I have a Kitchen extended warranty plan which there should had been no charge whatsoever as I found out thru the plan.  They are scamming and ripping people off.  So beware.. Before this service, I had used them in the past, for door in oven that cracked.  The first tech came and said he couldn't repair the door, he had to change the whole thing and it was going to cost money, etc. and left.  I called Kitchen Aid to complain and another tech came out where he repaired it with no problem.
I am having another service contractor with the plan to come out and check the problem hopefully it gets fix as my drinking water doesn't taste well since Dino came out and my ice maker is still not making ice.  I need to have ice that is why I bought a Kitchen Aid built in refrigerator with ice maker. Not for it to just look pretty and not make ice or drink water from it.
They should be reported to BBB and be taken out of business if they are ripping people off.

Our A/C would not come on so we called Day and Night. The service tech, Philip Brook, agreed my Carrier A/C was still under a 5 yr warranty so there would be no charge for parts. He said the condenser fan motor and capacitor needed to be replaced and the charge would be $379.32. He said he could do it with a truck stock motor but if I wanted to stick with Carrier there would be an additional $85 charge. I said I'd stick with the truck stock since he said it would still be a one year warranty which is same as Carrier parts. I asked him how long to do and he said 30 to 45 minutes. I asked why such a high labor cost for such a quick job and he said there was a lot of back-end paperwork stuff to do with Carrier to exchange the old motor for a new one. I asked if there were any discounts available for seniors, disabled, or Angie's List members. He said no since I had received an Angie's list discount the first time I called and got service from them. He did indicate there were discounts if  I had an annual service contract but the prices he quoted again were pretty high, and since I'm already feeling gouged, not very attractive. I felt like he had me over a barrel with plus 100 degree temp and the air out. Plus, my daughter took off work to provide him access to our house. So, I said to go ahead even though I had the beginning hunch I might be doing business with the wrong company.

The next day I called a Carrier authorized dealer for sales and repair, Jaycox Air Conditioning (http://jaycoxac.com/) in Surprise, AZ, and confirmed they serviced my area in Goodyear. I explained that I needed a new condenser fan motor and run capacitor and asked what they would charge to do it. They quoted me a $65 service call charge plus $120.00 to do the work for a total of $185.00. My thought here was this seems like a reasonable charge based on travel, labor and the fact there's no part cost.

So, the price quoted by Night and Day was roughly 100% higher than what a reputable, authorized dealer would charge! I called Day and Night and Asked to speak to the service manager but he was out. Several days later I got a call back and explained exactly what happened to the service manager. He said their pricing was based on the job and industry standard nationwide charges. That the best he could do would be to offer me a 20% discount, and lowered my price to $315.26. Unfortunately, this was still 70% higher than Jaycox.

I wasn't looking for the lowest price but a 70% price difference still seems ridiculously excessive, so I will definitely call Jaycox next time.

Pricing by A/C repair companies is perplexing, frustrating and usually excessive. That's perhaps why there are so many out there. It seems like the great majority will charge whatever they can get away with. The only thing I know will help is better detailed reviews on Angie's list, so we know which companies are not pricing fairly and we don't call them.

Try to price compare whenever possible and put that in the review. List on Angie's the exact detail work done so we can see and know what others are charging before we get an estimate on a new service call. We make it possible to be ripped-off when we don't do our due diligence and/or take the time to provide detail in the reviews we write. It's up to us.

First company they sent out did not have a clue as to what he was doing.  replaced several control boards in the dryer and in doing the work scratched up and marred the paint on the dryer.  After 3 or 4 visits he gave up and the they sent out the correct people and it took then 5 minutes to determine that the lint filter was clogged with super fine dust particles.

They did a great job. My washer was still under warranty and the service company that was servicing the warranty sent somebody out that replaced two very expensive parts and left without testing it. It still didn't work. I have handicapped kids and I was without my washer for 10 days so I was freaking out. I called West Valley Repair Service and they sent a guy over the next morning. He was so patient and he took the whole washer apart and found that it was a sensor that needed to be cleaned. He did a great job and he really saved me. I would absolutely use him again. Finally the service company that was supposed to fix it reimbursed me the $88 I had to pay to West Valley after about 10 phone calls.
