Television Repair reviews in Glendale

  • Richard provided excellent support and service. When I first called and talked to him, he took my TV model # and the symptoms the TV was exhibiting and recommended replacing the TV (due to TV age, replacement parts were not available and even if they were, it would be cheaper to replace). He then offered to come and help me install the replacement TV I purchased at Costco and set it up for $100. He was punctual, very helpful, and truly went above and beyond the call of duty. We had problems getting power to the new TV (complicated, old, custom install of previous home entertainment system with an inaccessible power outlet!), and he came up with a very creative and inexpensive solution which saved the day. Could not be happier with Richard's service. Would definitely use again.

  • Richard was prompt, honest and very helpful. I didn't end up needing Richards services after all because I decided to buy a new T.V. But I was very impressed with his professionalism and honesty. He kept in touch with me for follow up and I would absolutely call him in the future if I have any issues.

  • It went very well.  I got in contact with Jeff through Angie's List, he called me the same day and the following day he was out and repaired the T.V. for. me.  Just what I love quick, easy, clean, and cheap.  Will absolutely use him again.

  • The serviceman came out promptly. He identified the problem and told us it may be covered by Samsung as there had been a recall but the recall period had expired, he suggested we call Samsung while he waited. We called Samsung and Samsung agreed to pay for the parts. I really didn't think that Samsung would help as our tv is about 7 years old. If the serviceman hadn't made the suggestion to call Samsung we wouldn't have and it would have cost us an additional $200. Very happy with Sys Electronics

  • I explained the problem, and we both watched for the lines, distortion etc for 15-20 minutes, but, it worked perfectly while he was here. Just like taking your car to a garage-it never acts up when it's there. He took it to his Shop to thoroughly check it out. He kept it for several days, testing and checking the systems. He could not duplicate the problem, so he returned it. He stated that if it starts again to call while it was happening and he would come over. He was very professional and only charged me for a home visit/diagnostic. I will use RTE again.

  • Dave showed up right on time.  I had used him one year ago and he remember me right away.
He looked the TV over and knew right away what was wrong. He had the part on his truck and completed the fix right away.
Dave is the owner of the company.  He is very personable and cost effective.  I had a different problem one year ago and my experience was the same.

  • My 61" Samsung DLP TV suddenly stopped working and after a little research online it appeared my problem might be a blown lamp. It was a Saturday morning and after calling a TV repair shop in Surprise (and being told they couldn't tell me if they had the part until Monday) I called ValleyWide TV repair. It was about 8:30am and the gentleman that answered the phone was very helpful. He looked up the part number and advised they had it in stock. He recommended bringing the old lamp in so that he could test it before I purchased a new one just to be sure that was the problem. I asked what time they were open until and he stated they opened at 10am and would be there until 2pm. I hadn't realized it, but I had called the shop an hour and a half before they opened...and not only did the owner answer...but he was helpful and very pleasant.
I brought the lamp to him and it was faulty, so I purchased a new lamp as described over the phone. The lamp was a little more than what I had seen online, but not outrageous...and I had the benefit of having my old one tested first and not having to wait for it to be shipped.
The only concern I had was whether the lamp was the only issue I had with the TV. The owner said that the lamp couldn't be returned (unless it was faulty) but that he would do a diagnostic at no charge if my TV still didn't work. That sounded very reasonable and I returned home to install the lamp.
Unfortunately, the TV still didn't work with the new lamp. I was out of town for the week and unable to return to ValleyWide until the following weekend. I called around 1pm to see what time they closed and was told 2. I told them that I was about 40 minutes away with traffic and needed to load the TV into my car. They assured me it wasn't a problem if I were a little late...that they would wait.
I arrived at approximately 2:20 and they had indeed waited. They were friendly and helped me unload the TV from my car. Their techicians had left for the day but would look at the TV on Monday and give me a call. I received a call about mid day on Monday and was told that the TV appeared to be working okay. They had checked out the lamp and it appeared to be installed properly...and was working fine. They offered to do some additional diagnostics and hold the TV for a couple of days to see if things changed and I agreed that was a good idea.
They continued to test the TV and it continued to work fine so my wife went down to pick it up. They loaded it into her vehicle and didn't charge us for the additional work.
I'm not sure what was wrong with the TV when I brought it down...and honestly wouldn't have known any better if they had told me it needed some kind of unnessary repair. I can honestly say that I appreciate the service and integrity of ValleyWide repair and would do business with them/recommend them without hesitation.
They were friendly and professional throughout my dealings with them...flexible in staying late and answering any questions I had...and honest when it came to diagnosing and repairing my TV. Great Job!!!

  • My interactions with them went very well.  They weren’t able to fix my TV.  It would have cost more to fix it than it would have been to buy a TV.  It wasn’t that they were expensive, but the part that I needed for the TV.  I had to spend $20 with them to even get them to look at my TV.  They were very helpful.  I like the fact that they are open after-hours; that was nice.  They have back up and were really fast about responsiveness.  I will use them in the future.

  • My 5-year-old Sony would not turn on anymore on a regular basis, so I called Bob's TV. Their tech Steve stopped by, took a look, said he couldn't detect the problem and would need to take it into the shop, which he did. A week went by with no contact from Bob's, so I called them and spoke with Bob. He said the TV had worked fine in the shop for a couple of days before they had noticed a problem, and they had ordered a power supply from Sony, which they expected to have within a few days. After 4-5 more days, Bob called to say they'd put in a new power supply, but it hadn't fixed the problem. He said it was likely a failed LCD panel, which would cost more to fix than the TV was worth. So I asked him to have his tech return the TV to the house, which Steve did a few days later. The experience cost me $85, which I consider a fair price. I may have another shop give me a second opinion before I junk the TV, but I'd have no problem using Bob's again. I haven't given real high marks only because it seemed Bob's shop didn't do a very good job of keeping me in the loop regarding the TV's status, and I'm sort of bummed that my relatively new TV crapped out so soon (which isn't Bob's fault). All in all, a decent experience, I feel.

  • I HAD PURCHASED A NEW TV. TV MANUFACTURER IS EMPREX. THE SOUND CARD WENT OUT ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER THE 30 DAY WARRANTY EXPIRED.... HMMMM. THE MANUFACTURER HAS A 1 YEAR WARRANTY, BUT REQUIRES THAT THE TV BE SHIPPED TO A SITE IN CALIFORNIA WITH SHIPPING COST AND ALL LIABILITY FOR SHIPPING TO BE BORNE BY THE PURCHASER (ME). THE COST TO SHIP THE TV WOULD HAVE BEEN SLIGHTLY LESS THAN WHAT I PAID FOR THE REPAIR JOB. I CALLED ELECTRONIC REPAIR CO, TOOK THE TV TO THEIR SHOP AND THEY DID THE DIAGNOSIS, ORDERED THE SOUND CARD AND REPAIRED THE TV IS LESS THAN A WEEK. VERY RESPONSIVE AND QUICK SERVICE (THE SOUND CARD HAD TO BE SENT FROM CALIFORNIA). ELECTRONIC REPAIR CO GIVES A 30 DAY LABOR GUARANTY AND A 90 DAY PARTS GUARANTY WHICH IS MORE THAN THE STORE I PURCHASED THE TV WAS WILLING TO PROVIDE. LESSON LEARNED - THERE'S A REASON EMPREX PRICES ARE LESS THAN OTHER BRANDS AND YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE AN EMPREX PRODUCT AGAIN, BUT HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERC FOR ANY REPAIR WORK.
