Great experience. Nice, knowledgeable people that gave me a reassuring feeling leaving my pet in their hands. Did a nice job within a half an hours time, which is what it would usually take for me to get him in the bathroom! They are courteous, prompt, and do a great job.. Most importantly, it was a stress free experience for both myself, and my pet. Definitely be using them in the future.

I'd like to preface this by saying I am not a person that leaves reviews very often but If this review saves one other dog from getting hurt I will be grateful.
I caught Linda, one of the employees of Galloping Groomer abusing my dog.
I have two Brussels Griffons that are rescues from a puppy mill.  I have worked very hard for two years to get them socialized and unafraid of people. Linda has groomed them several times and is completely aware of this.
Linda had one of my dogs in the van when I looked out and noticed my neighbor knocking on the van door. When I didn't see Linda open the door I went out to see what was going on.  As I approached the van I heard Linda SCREAMING PROFANITY,  then things being knocked or thrown around and then I heard my dog YELP. I yanked the door open and asked Linda what was going on? As I climbed in the van to get my dog, who was half groomed and trembling on the table, Linda said "I'm sorry, I'm having a really bad day and she won't stand still to let me groom her rear end, my sciatica is acting up...." and then started crying and said she wasn't going to charge me.  I got my dog and climbed back out of the van.
My neighbor, who had been standing out there for a couple of minutes said Linda had been cussing and screaming profanities at my dog the entire time she had been outside the van. That would explain why Linda didn't hear her knocking on the door. She didn't  just snap and react badly in a difficult situation (and obviously dogs can be difficult to groom) but, this had been going on for at least 3 - 5 minutes.  And God only knows how long it had been happening prior to my neighbor walking up to the van.
There is absolutely NO circumstance that would make abusing a dog to this degree acceptable. I immediately called Galloping Groomer, talked to the owner (I don't remember her name) and reported in detail what had just occurred. To be honest, the owner sounded somewhat nonchalant and said "There are two sides to every story, I don't know what happened there today."
Are you kidding me??  It doesn't matter what the "story" was. The fact is she abused my dog and I have a witness.
If Linda ever reads this:  I don't care how bad of a day you were having, or how much pain your sciatica was causing you.... what you did was beyond unacceptable. You KNOW how hard I have worked to socialize Pixie and Cricket. You've seen their progress and commented on how much friendlier and less timid they have become. I'd like you to know your cruel actions have caused a set back with them and  they are afraid of  people again. You should be ashamed of what you did to 12 helpless pounds of innocent love.

We and quot;made the roundsand quot; with our 2 standard poodles...always expensive and always a HUGE disappointment UNTIL WE FOUND MICHAEL, the owner/groomer at BACKROOM GROOM. We have NEVER been disappointed in his METICULOUS work. Our dogs leave looking, truly, like show dogs! Michael is a perfectionist in grooming them and satisfied only when each leg looks like a pillar, and they are and quot;evenlyand quot; clipped/groomed/brushed out from EVERY angle : front, sides and back. He takes great pride in his work. He is very loving and gentle with our 2 boys, never surly or impatient and treats them as his own....with a loving hand and a loving disposition. The boys are always happy to see Michael..their own testimonial for sure!
After having so many groomers taking short cuts and not to do their job time and again completely shaving the 2 dogs' legs saying they were matted (we take them for grooming too often for any significant matting!), clipping them unevenly, cutting toenails too close resulting in general lack of both skill and patience... finding Michael was a miracle! Really. We have been customers for almost 2 years now and would never take our boys anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Backroom Groom for your dog...whatever the breed you will be amazed at his professional work and the high standards to which he holds himself.

They are very professional. They let you know when the dog will be ready and they are always on time or early. The people are really nice and they do a wonderful job. They are located conveniently to where I live as well and I have not found that there are many places that do dog grooming in this area. My sister also takes a toy poodle and another smaller dog as well.

    SnaZZy DogZ
I have had my Cavalier King Charles groomed here on many occasions and have been very pleased with the results.  All of the groomers are very dog friendly which is very important to me.  I need to know that my dogs are comfortable and treated with kindness.  You drop off the dogs and they call you as soon as they are done so the dogs don't have to stay there all day.  I would highly recommend this groomer to anyone who wants to have a beautifully groomed dog and  know that they are treated well.  I take my three Cavaliers there, my Mom takes her two and my sister also uses Snazzy DogZ.  You won't be disappointed.

    the furshire llc
I had been researching local places that did boarding and day care. I looked up a few on Google and visited a few that interested me. A few of them were dirty and just seemed to not have great regard for the dogs. I visited Furshire and liked it and it seemed nice enough for my dog. I even ended up visiting a second time as my wife wanted to see the place before we took our puppy there.
I brought my puppy there to stay for the day just to see how she would do and get some socialization. One of the things I liked was they told me on both visits that they kept them in small groups of 3-5. When I called to check on her later on in the day, I was told she was with 9 other dogs. I was also told that somehow her foot had been run over with a chair. She apparently couldn't put any weight on it. I was distraught,  but had to get through the rest of the day before I could go pick her up.
I got there at the end of the day and they told me that she couldn't put any weight on her foot and carried her out to me. My 17 week old Golden Retriever looked horrible. She was shaking and scared. She seemed very weak. I immediately inspected her and checked if her foot was tender to the touch. She seemed not to feel any direct pain. I did not let her walk at all and carried her right out to my truck.
I immediately headed straight to our vet. I let her down when we got there and let her walk so I could see how bad it was. It was worse than I thought. She could put no pressure on it and was limping horribly. The Vet inspected her and said he could see no immediate damage and wanted to do an X-Ray. I am usually leery of Vets and any extra charges and without knowing what really happened, I went ahead and had him do the X-Ray.
It ended up she had strained the ligament near her knee. Of course this cost me 250 dollars to find out. The money bothers me, but the health of my dog bothers me much more. To watch this puppy that I love that was so vibrant and always ready to play, now just limping around my house is heartbreaking. She will be fine in a few days, but that doesn't make me feel any better. We walk every morning and every night without fail. Now that isn't possible for a few days and it just compounds matters that she has all this energy and I am trying to restrict her movement.
Could it have been a freak accident? Of course, but then again I have no way of knowing. I don't think a 9 to 1 ratio engenders good supervision. Overall, I would advise to stay clear of this place.

Hug N Pups Pet Grooming Salon & Dog Training
I can not say enough positive things about Hug & Pups.  Everybody in the place has a smile on their face.  It is a casual, loose environment, so of course you have to be on that same vibe.  It is clean, of course; I'm just saying that they treat the dogs naturally, letting them be loose if they want to, but keeping the shy ones in the back if needed.  My dog has done both...although he's not shy, he does get barky so I think that's why he's in the back a lot!  They always tell me he was a good boy, even when I'm pretty sure he was a little annoying brat!
They exhibit a lot of love for the dogs and it is easy to get an appointment.  They listen well and suggest treatments for any issues and also, they offer AAA discounts on a la carte services.  So glad I found them. I hear that they are hoping to expand their biz to include boarding and day care, and that would be so great.

She was a shelter dog, so a very nervous dog.  She easily took to everyone one there and when I picked her up she was calm and happy; a minor miracle!  the grooming job was excellent and they explained everything and answered my questions with ease.  I will definitely be going back regularly

    It's a Dog's World
my dogs have been going to Chris for the past four years and are groomed once a month. He is always friendly and happy to see us and the dogs never act frightened when he takes them from my arms. These are my babies and I would never hand them over to just anybody. The salon is small but always clean and odorfree and the other groomers are pleasant and seem to enjoy their work. I think the price is very reasonable and I know the service is great. When my pets are returned to me, they look and smell so fresh and clean.

    Bow Wow's Pet
My dogs come back looking very pretty. The one thing I don t like about them is that their office is ugly, even though it is located in an upscale neighborhood. They have a couple days wait to get your dogs in to see them. They also groom one of my grumpy dogs that nobody else would do.
