  • Had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience at Desert West OBGYN with Dr. Zhang. She rushed through the appointment and never gave me the chance to explain my symptoms or ask any questions. Her "diagnosis" did not make any sense and the way she explained it to me was downright insulting, to say the least. The few "solutions" she offered were bizarre and not at all fitting to the problems I am experiencing. I left the appointment in tears and told myself I would not be going to a gynecologist ever again. Long story short: I cannot speak for any of the other Desert West doctors, but I would never, ever recommend Dr. Zhang to anybody, ever. It was a complete waste of my time and money, and now I am back to square one with the symptoms that brought me to Desert West in the first place.

  • They had my first name wrong to start. The assistant who brought me to the exam room told me "you must have not told them your right name". I don't think so. Now they have my name wrong on the patient portal and can't get that right either. I quit seeing Dr. Tung because she just kept ordering exams and tests without talking to me about what was necessary. I got the feeling she was milking Medicare to the max.

  • After giving me a hearing test in 2010, an audiologist at a different company told me I need hearing aids. I bought one, but noticed no difference in my hearing. He assured me that without it, my hearing would get worse faster. Two years later he tried to sell me new, improved aids for both ears. I decided to get a second opinion (actual three more opinions). All three said I was not yet ready for a hearing aid. I just had my hearing retested by audiologist Andrea Kristalovich at AOC Physicians. She said I was still not yet ready for a hearing aid. When I told her that another audiologist had me wearing one for two years, 7 years ago, she expressed surprise. Take home message: if possible, get tested by an audiologist that does not sell hearing aids. If you can't, at least get a second (or third) opinion.

  • My first visit to Cardiac Solutions was a disaster!  They had already cancelled and moved a previous appointment and that was a foreshadow of their lousy service.  I drove my 96 year old mother to the address that my wife had given me.  Unloaded Mom and she slowly shuffled with me up to the lobby at the center of the building, arriving on time for our 2:15pm appt.  There was no directory in the lobby, no signs and all the inside doors were locked.  It took us a few minutes to figure out that the entrance is outside and at the West end of the building (A little sign on the wall of the lobby would have been helpful). Half way around the building, I had to run ahead and get a wheel chair because Mom was running out of steam. (she is a heart patient after all)  The staff made me leave my driver's license just to borrow a wheel chair.  Add all this together and we were now about 15 minutes late.  Stood in line for 2 minutes waiting to be able to sign in. The staff then informed me that since we were over 15 minutes late for the appointment we would have to reschedule for another day.  I explained that we were in the lobby on time and were only late because of their lack of a simple sign telling us where their office entrance was.  I also pointed out how difficult it is to get my Mom out and about, as well as my missing an afternoon of work.  My protests fell on deaf ears.  They didn't care and my only option was to bring her back another day.  If the office staff is allowed by the physicians to be this callous about patients, then why should I expect patient care by the physicians to be any better?  I think there are other cardiologists in the valley who really want to help their clients rather than inconvenience them.  I will be finding another place to take Mom for her heart care.

  • I have been extremely pleased with them, I took my mother there to get hers, they have excellent warranty on them, they are brand name so you ca buy them at any hearing aid retail store. I bought mine 3 years ago from one of the stores and after that Costco had such good luck with them that they made a deal with the company that manufactures them. They're an excellent buy. For anyone who usually buys them for $6000, they're now $2000 at Costco. They don't want to be in the prescription business but they will do a hearing test for you. They will refer you to a ear nose and throat doctor to get a prescription. They will test you to tell you if you will benefit from their product. There is not pressure to buy a particular brand because they sell 4 or 5 different brands and you can wear them for 90 days and bring them back for a full refund if your'e not satisfied. I think the state offers you 30 days but they give you 90.

  • They are fabulous! Sometimes they are not taking new patients, but sometimes they are. They have a bunch of doctors and the one I go to usually is not taking new patients, but the practice is. They are prompt to get back, you don't wait very long, they've got the lab right there so you can get your lab draws in the same location, the flu shots are there, the insurance covers all that, and we live near there so it's convenient, and they go to the hospital by us so that's convenient. It's an 18 and up internist. They don't do pediatrics.

  • Dr. Brandstetter was very personable, and listened attentively to all my concerns.  She never rushed me, nor ever gave the impression that she was anxious to leave.  She questioned me thoroughly about my medical history, answered all of my questions (I had a lot!)  She even raised some issues that I had not considered.
    After the visit, she promptly followed up on all the actions that we had agreed upon, including one issue that I had forgotten!  I am very pleased with my choice of Dr. Brandstetter as my primary care physician

  • He walks on water! In a very positive way, he doesn't take "no" for an answer! He listens and is a real miracle worker! He is well connected and gets what he needs when he has to team up with other doctors. He is sometimes late if he has been slowed down by a prier patient, but he will then take his time with us.

  • Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Appointment was available when I needed it. Dr. Hutchinson listened carefully, shared his own experience with a similar disorder (IBS) and explained all treatment options in detail. He stated himself as a and quot;conservative doctorand quot; and did not order any invasive or radiation-using diagnostics at this time. His treatment plan appears to be working, and his bedside manner was awesome!
