  • Let me start by saying that this guy is a total jerk and only has one agenda...to steal your money! He has been the bain of my existence for years not allowing me to cancel my policies and bullying me to keep them active. Out of frustration I stayed with him (my fault). The last straw was asking him to cancel my life insurance policy and he refused to send me the paperwork and told him that if I do this that he would no longer make any money off of me. Are you kidding me? Umm the reason I have these policies is because I would like to have assurance that my family will be ok in case of an emergency, not for me to make you rich! He is such a pompous ******* and does not deserve anyone's business! Thank God for Statefarm and their welcoming staff. I have been with them for 20 years and I cant wait to rid myself of this leech! Do not do business with this guy! He is a troll and a egotistical monster! I have never been so mistreated by anyone in my life! He is monochromatic and a chauvinist in every way! Beware of this guy. Farmer's should be embarrassed to have their name smeared by this jerk!

  • Filed a claim on March 13, 2015 because our AC compressor had been making a very loud noise and it had just gotten unbearable. Tech assigned by FAHBP was L&S Air who was poorly rated by the BBB. L&S confirmed the compressor was failing but indicated that FAHBP would only replace if it stopped working altogether. Instead L&S wanted to charge us over $100 plus the $60 service fee for a leak detection which wasn't covered by our insurance policy. I called FAHBP and complained and they paid for the leak detection and for L&S to get the compressor running again. I also expressed my concerns that the compressor would fail soon, and since we were nearing summer it would definitely fail when it was dangerously hot. FAHBP indicated that they would only replace the part if it completely quit working regardless of the part failing to operate efficiently or correctly.   L&S managed to get the compressor working again, however the noise level produced by the compressor was unbelievable, a sure sign that it is not working efficiently and may fail.  On April 28th, when temps reached over 100 degrees, the compressor failed.  On April 29th, we filed another claim against our policy due to the compressor failing.  Higgenbotham & Sons was selected by FAHBP.  Higgnebotham and Sons is not rated by the BBB.  Scheduled to arrive on Thursday to diagnose the problem.  The tech from Higgenbotham and Sons called and said he wouldn't be able to make the scheduled appointment and he needed to reschedule for Friday between 8:00am and noon.  At noon on Friday we called Higgnebotham and Sons and they apologized and said the tech couldn't make it until after 4pm.  Tech arrived at 6pm and diagnosed the AC compressor as failed and we paid another 60 service fee.  Three business days later and after receiving no call from Higgenbotham and Sons or FAHBP regarding scheduling the replacement of the compressor, we called FAHBP and they indicated that Higgenbotham and Sons failed to file their work report with FAHBP and they would file an internal complaint against Higgenbotham and Sons.  We received a call from Higgenbotham and Sons soon after the call with FAHBP and they scheduled arrival to replace the compressor the following Saturday, May 9th between 8:00am and noon.  We asked if they were going to repair or diagnose again and they clearly indicated "repair" and that the part would be on the tech's van along with whatever was needed.  Tech arrived Saturday, May 9th at 1pm and apologized indicating that he didn't have the right part on his van.

  • Been a client for 16 years.... following hail storm of 2010, they withheld recoverable depreciation for damage to my home and did not pay it upon multiple submissions of proof to them; the agent refused to send me anything in writing, he'd only call and be extremely unprofessional. The agent refused to do anything at all. I sent my complaint to the DOI and it is still there because they are short staffed and have year long waiting lists.  Keeps getting reassigned due to attrition.  Liberty Mutual kept raising my rates. Finally - I had enough.  After 16 years I've left. I am saving 20% on home insurance and 65% on auto insurance with twice the coverage. When I called Liberty Mutual to cancel my policies, they were quite shocked that after 16 years I'd leave.  That agent seemed distressed about my horrible experience, and asked me to send in again proof of payment. I told him it would not change my decision and he understood, but asked me to anyway because he wanted to make it right -- and I did. He did get me a check for the recoverable depreciation  for which I am grateful. It does not change my decision to never use them again, because they should have looked out for me, they should not have overcharged me outrageously (no I had no other home claims but the hail storms, no traffic tickets all those years) and the fact that a someone with whom I've had no relationship can save me 65% for double the coverage is ridiculous.  I will also say that the service for the claims on my car (hail storm) were handled extremely well, extremely professional, and totally pleased with that service -- just not for a 65% extra charge....  Thank you to Paul S - I am grateful for your efforts to get me the reimbursement owed.

  • They have a bunch of providers. I like that they have a very user-friendly website. I go on and look at the explanation of benefits so that when - because my husband gets dental work done quite frequently, he has bad teeth - I have a good idea how much the dental plan is paying, so there have been times I've had a bill for more and it gives me leverage in saying, no the dental plan says that this is what I owe, so it really helps me.

Otherwise I think people just write the cheque for it, you know, and they are usually asking more money than what they are supposed to be asking for, the plan, the EOB (explanation of benefits) on their website for each member that is in there under their plan it will show the date of the service, what they had done, and then it will show what Delta pays, what was submitted for the charge, what is allowed, how much Delta is going to pay and how much our responsibility is, so it is all laid out. And I just sent a copy of that to my husband's dentist because they were charging too much. And I never heard anything else, I just sent the cheque for what I owed. It was great, yep.

They have a huge network of dentists, you're not going to go in and find just a few, they are the best, they are well known.

I just had a little tooth filling a little while ago and spent about $30. My husband had a couple of teeth worked on in the front, and so I think together it was about $300, pretty reasonable.

  • About a year ago my doctor at CIGNA (Dr. Amjad Riaz) recommended 4 routine blood tests.  I procrastinated for about a year and in June of 2012 decided it would be a good idea to have these tests performed.  I called the laboratory at CIGNA and asked them for an estimate for these tests (I don't have insurance).  They were able to look up those tests and confirmed that the estimate was $201 (It is important to realize that the lab had a record of the tests recommended by Dr. Riaz - there was absolutely no confusion as to what tests I was requesting).  I asked the lab to schedule an appointment so I could have the tests done.  They informed me that the doctor's assistant (Dan) would have to request the lab tests and they asked me if I wanted them to contact Dan to request them.  About 30 minutes later I got a phone call from Dan simply stating that the lab work had been requested and I could stop by any time after 7am to get them done.
On June 15 I had blood drawn and gave a urine sample for the tests.  On June 25 I received a bill for $639!  Upon investigation I discovered that 10 (not 4) tests had been performed.  I was never told anything about these additional tests.  When I contacted Dan for an explanation he said that these were the tests that Dr. Riaz recommends for patients who haven't seen him in more than a year.  That may be true but that doesn't give them the right to schedule these tests (and increase my bill by more than$400) without my consent.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and was contacted by CIGNA's office in Pennsylvania on July 11.  The person I spoke to said he would have to contact the Glendale, AZ office to get their side of the story and he would be back in touch.  As of today (July 18) I still haven't heard back.
In the past I have received good service from CIGNA.  Overall they are not a bad company but they need to realize that they can't order additional services for people without insurance without their consent.
Good news!  In mid-July CIGNA responded to my Better Business Bureau complaint.  They agreed to pay the $438 for the tests I did not authorize.  This just goes to show you that average people can win against big businesses when they use resources like the BBB & Angie's List.  Don't be a helpless victim!

  • I am very pleased working with this company on the insurance of my cars. They provide a great service and the rates are really good. They also answered every question I had concerning the whole contract ant service terms. I have had no problems with them. I recommend them for their good quality of service.

  • The quality of the service of they provided was very poor. They questioned my integrity by implying that I had something to do with the stealing and vandalizing of my car. So for this reason I changed insurance companies. However, first I made them pay for the contract we had made for the car.

  • WE HAVE HAD ALLSTATE INSURANCE FOR OUR HOME AND AUTO FOR NEARLY 20 YEARS. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL CLAIMS ON OUR AUTOMOBILES FOR REPAIRS DUE TO AN ACCIDENT, WINDSHIELD BREAK AND A STOLEN VEHICLE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT IN RETURNING OUR CALLS AND REFERRING US TO THE BODY SHOPS TO REPAIR OUR VEHICLES. WHEN PURCHASING OUR HOME, THE CLOSING WAS TO BE FINALIZED ON US PAYING OFF A CAR LOAN, THE DAY BEFORE WE WERE TO PAY OFF THE VEHICLE- IT WAS STOLEN. ALLSTATE BROUGHT US A CLAIM CHECK FOR OUR PAYOFF AMOUNT THAT WE WERE ABLE TO DELIVER TO THE MORTGAGE COMPANY AND COMPLETE THE CLOSING ON OUR HOUSE - ALL WITHIN 24 HOURS.
