    GreenID
With the duct sealing, an R49 layer of insulation, an enlarged feed and additional return duct from the kitchen/family room area, done by the GreenID team over two days in a hot August attic, we saw the ceiling temperatures get down to 82.5 degrees and could pump the house down to 76 degrees in the morning (instead of 80 as we used to), set the thermostat to 84 and not have the AC kick on until after the rate change at 8pm. During that time, the temperature at the thermostat might only get to 81 and the family room was only 83. Moreover, the on-peak usage for the month went from 250KwH to 108 and the bill is back under $200.

    Ideal Energy LLC
We contacted them to take advantage of the SRP rebates to repair ductwork and add insulation and registers to two Arizona rooms. They also performed an energy audit (also a SRP rebate). The audit was very thorough and included pictures of areas where they recommended repairs. When performing the work the crew was professional, applying plastic in the pantry where the attic access is located to prevent insulation from making a mess, and vacuuming the house after they were done. All the work was completed as described. Overall, a very good experience.

    R & K Building Supplies
Julann at R&K worked with us to find a replacement for our double front doors.  R&K offered solutions that other contractors did not.  They removed the old doors and installed the new wood doors.  They filled the gaps in the door frame that were left when the builder installed the original doors.  We are very pleased with the work R&K has done and will use them again.

    Marshall Insulation
I started reading the reviews after I purchased the Angie's LIst Big Deal.  I was concerned about the majority of the reviews stating they too only received the $99 "energy audit", that there was $500 rebate on $1500 worth of additional insulation purchased. I spoke with an exceptionally nice gentleman from Marshall Insulation about the Angies List  deal.  He proceeded to tell me that the $99 for $500 worth of insulation was not that.  The $99 was for an energy audit and there would be a rebate of $500 for $1500 worth of insulation purchased.  I told him I felt the ad was misleading.  No where in the ad did it state the $99 was for the energy audit only.  Any monies spent on insulation would be additional with a rebate included.
I really feel this  ad is extremely misleading to Angies List members.  I think the wording should be changed to reflect EXACTLY what the members would be purchasing, and energy audit for $99 and a $500 rebate off of $1500 worth of insulation purchased.

    Boss Insulation

Ryan Rogers of Boss Insulation, brought out his tech, Tyler, who entered the crawl space and assessed the level of insulation as appropriate which was contrary to another company that wanted to charge me $2000 to install another layer of insulation based on a deceptive assessment that the current level of insulation was compacted and inadequate. Tyler examined the insulation in my crawl space and found that it was more than sufficient and that it did not need another layer proving that the other company was attempting to make a sale of a product that would be difficult to confirm to follow up on and that the installation occurred.

Boss Insulation proves to be honest which makes them heads above the others in the area.

    Marshall Insulation
Their crew arrived promptly at 7:00 am. Carlos explained what each crew member would be doing. They increased the insulation in my attic. They also discovered that the ducts had been attached to the vents with plain duct tape. The duct tape had become gooey due to heat and had slipped off the vents in many places. This allowed out side air and dust to enter, spreading dust out of the vents. It also allowed cooled air to escape into the attic. The corrected all of the duct work connections. Jeff came to check the work upon completion. He ran tests to verify that the work had been done correctly, and he replaced all of the "regular" light bulbs with cal bulbs. All of the work was done quickly and neatly.

They did the inspection and unfortunately there were some other issues that needed taken care of before the radiant barrier could be fully completed. They were very professional and very courteous, he was very honest and told me what needed to be done.

    Adair Plumbing
They tried to con us into an EXTREEMELY inflated price (over 18k) for a solar water heating system package that included radiant barrier, duct sealer, and an AC maint package. Even though we informed them that our AC was completely replaced 2mo prior, but couldn't remove that from the "package". Nor were they able to describe how they came to a price of 18k+. They started installing the NEXT day,AND we even seen a contract, let alone signed one!!! I had a difficult time scheduling a meeting with Doug Adair to resolve our concerns, and when I was finally able to, he/they did nothing but insult me for the entire 45min, could NOT answer a single question we had about the products used, price break down, (and why we would need to commit tax fraud to get the refund from the IRS), or the lack of even a contract prior to installation in less than 24hrs! Their products, I also learned were mediocre. His solution at out meeting was quote, " Well, if we don't even have a contract with you, we'll just come remove our equipment." Which I agreed was the BEST poss solution with this shady company! BTW I have all of this recorded, and hopefully the R.O.C. is interested. And this is just a VERY short description of the nightmare it was dealing with Adair Solar! Since then, we've had all of that work done, PLUS window treatments and foam insulation on the south facing wall, (two story house) all for 6k LESS than ADAIR!!!!!! And we won't be required to commit tax fraud to receive our "savings"! Adair was a miserable experience for us! And judging from Doug Adair and his companies work ethics, I'm sure we're not alone! If you deal with them, document and record everything from the very start like I always do. It came in handy for once!

    Marshall Insulation
The $99 attic insulation deal require an energy evaluation to qualify for the discount as well state & fed rebates. I had the SRP energy evaluation done by another authorized contractor approx 2 yrs ago disqualifying me for any additional rebates & discounts. The service technician Jeff did inspect my attic insulation recommending none because it met the standard and stating that any additional may not reduce my bill. I would surly use this company for my future insulation needs.
