I called Angie's List to find him. It went very good. He took care of it. I haven't had much trouble with it since then. He gave me a cream and I'm good so far. He diagnosed it and took the biopsy the first time and then we got to the bottom of it. That's what I wanted him to do. I got right in. The office environment was very nice. I didn't have to wait too long.

Warts, acne, and cancer checks over the last 10 years or so. He knows his stuff. My daughter's bad acne is gone, the kids like him and he will tell you all your options. He has had less hours lately, but his PA is also good.

Staff is very friendly. Dr. Geary is wonderful and very knowledgeable as is PA Julie. They gave me treatment solutions based on what my insurance would pay for, which was very important and helpful.

The is the third time I have gone to Dr. Sawyer. He is a wonderful dermatologist and understands that even though something might not be skin cancer, it might be something that bothers you cosmetically and will work with you to take care of it. He is the best dermatologist I have ever been to! And, as a treat, he looks a lot like Edward in the movie Twilight. LOL

I like her and her staff. The reason I go is because being in the desert, I have lived a majority of life in the desert and this has affected the condition of my skin I have skin cancer or I am susceptible to skin cancer. So I go in for preventive treatment every 6 months. They do a body scan and they freeze any place that is problematic. I drive quite a long distance to see her. The best part is that I have traveled for the past 12 years out of States which will get me in to see her in a few days notice. That does not happen on skin doctors anywhere else. They are all busy.

My husband has a history of skin cancers and so, sees a dermatologist every 6 months for an exam.We just moved here from Virginia and made an appointment with Dr Woods based on his education, experience and on line reviews. Dr Woods is professional, thorough and personable. The office staff was very helpful over the phone and in person. We were able to fill out new patient forms and submit them on line to cut down on paperwork in the office, but of course there are the unavoidable privacy forms, etc. once you get there. My husband had a biopsy done that day for a spot that Dr Woods wasn't sure about. We received a call about a week later to let us know that the biopsy was benign and the person who called actually told me the results because she had seen permission on the paperwork. Often, even with the permission on file,an office will insist on calling back to talk with my husband.I really appreciated them glancing at the paperwork ahead of time and giving me the information.
We spend a fair amount of time outside so I made an appointment for myself just to have a baseline exam. Again, the office staff was very friendly and I was taken back to the exam room before my appointment time. There was actually a bit of a wait before seeing the doctor but I think there are unusual circumstances this week and the staff is working on more timely scheduling.Having said that- I would much rather have a wait though for someone who I can trust, who gives me the time to ask questions and makes me feel like there is no hurry when it's my turn- than to have a physician who is rushing through exams just to be on time. The nurse who came into the office with Dr Woods was also very helpful and took time to talk with me after the exam.
One of the hazards of moving across country is finding new physicians that you can trust with office and professional staff that make you feel comfortable. We were both very happy with Desert Sky Dermatology and highly recommend them.

Making appointment with the scheduler made a bit apprehensive - she sounded slightly annoyed. The front office staff is super nice, then the MA, RN?? (Named CJ) abrasively came to tell me first door on the left. She didn't introduce herself, became annoyed when I answered questions out of order from her intake sheet. I finally asked who I was talking to - it's nice to put a name to a face. The PA, Kara, is excellent! She was is patient, allowed me to ask questions, and really helped put me at ease.

I called the office to make an appointment, and the phone was answered by a live person who was friendly and efficient. She was able to get me in the very next day on a cancellation, which was fantastic since I was anxious to find out what was causing the problem and get treatment. She told me that the forms that I needed to fill out were online and could be submitted online without even having to print them out! This was SO convenient and much easier than going in early and rushing to fill out piles of paperwork.
When I arrived, I signed a few standard forms, gave them my insurance card, and sat down to wait for my appointment. The office was clean, nicely decorated and seemed fairly new, or extremely well maintained. They had a fridge with cold water available for patients in the waiting room. I was called back quickly and taken to a room that had very sophisticated looking equipment - a chair similar to a dentist or optometrist chair, a light on a moveable arm above the chair among other things. It was much more advanced than what I had been used to seeing in a typical doctor's office (even my previous dermatologist). The nurse asked me questions related to my visit, took some notes, and told me that the doctor would be right in. Surprisingly he WAS right in! He came in with the nurse, and was courteous and friendly, well groomed and professional. He asked me some more questions before and during the exam, and gave me his impressions. He took a biopsy to make sure that he was giving an accurate diagnosis, and had me start on antibiotics.
The one thing that surprised and concerned me a bit was the limited medical history that they took before treating me. While he was asking some general questions during the exam, I was able to give him what I felt was necessary health information (I thought it would be important for them to know that I had metastatic cancer and had received chemotherapy and radiation, for example).
The nurse called me back a few days later with the biopsy results, much quicker than I had expected. I have had other doctors that I have to call and nag to get test results, but this place obviously calls promptly when they receive the results and doesn't put them in a pile to deal with whenever they get around to it! I asked the nurse a question about preventing the infection from returning, and she said that she would ask the doctor and call me back. She called back in less than an hour, and called in a prescription for me to use immediately.
Overall I was very impressed with the professional, efficient and courteous treatment that I received at Desert Sky Dermatology, and would definitely go back or recommend them to others. The office is small enough to feel like you are receiving very personal treatment, but state of the art and professional enough that you feel confident that you are getting excellent, accurate diagnoses and care. I would like to see them get a more thorough medical background before treating patients, and would encourage anyone seeing them for the first time to make sure to give them additional information that is not requested regarding their health treatment and history to ensure that the doctor has the necessary facts to help him make the most accurate diagnosis and give the best treatment.

The biopsy for one of my kids came back showing it was precancerous and we went back and have a larger deeper procedure to remove any possible cells that could have been compromised. The other biopsy came back showing no problem.

I wanted an appt. quickly, so I saw a nurse instead of the physician. The intake nurse and the nurse that treated me were okay. Not very talkative and friendly, but it seemed like they were efficient. I had a skin cancer check and a few places were found that were pre-cancerous. Those spots and quot;frozenand quot; using a gas canister of some type. I think I have another spot that they missed so I'll have to go back again. Overall, I'd give them a c+ or a B-. I'll probably continue to go to this office as it is close to my home and convenient, but I didn't find the staff very friendly or engaging. No big problems, they just weren't very warm and welcoming.
