Tire Buying And Repair reviews in Gilbert

    FULL CIRCLE AUTO BODY
Tony and his wife Lisa were fantastic to work with.  I chose to have my truck taken to Full Circle Auto Body after reading the positive reviews here on Angie's List.  I'm very particular and meticulous and was nervous about where to have the work performed.  I'm extremely happy with the work and results of my truck.  After the insurance dropped off the vehicle, Lisa called and sent me photos of each step of the repair process and kept me informed on everything.  She handled everything with the insurance company, and all I had to do was pay my part.  Tony was very accommodating, I wanted him to do some extra work to freshen up my 97 Ford F-250 Powerstroke.  He said it would be no problem, and painted the roof and rear roll pan while painting the new hood to be replaced from my accident.  He also replaced all the side moldings on the truck when I provided him with the new moldings.  The front end of the truck is now brand new, and the paint matches and blends perfect with my 18 year old truck. (fantastic paint / no orange peel or fish eyes)  It looks like brand new (no joke) and was cleaned inside and out.  Tony made sure the alignment was dialed in perfect.  The truck runs and drives great!  I just towed my ski boat to Roosevelt last weekend and it looks and drives as if it was never in an accident.  I will definitely use Full Circle again in the future and will refer all my friends.

    Oasis Auto Center Gilbert
I took my 2002 Dodge Dakota 4x4 in to Oasis to have the driver side ball joint replaced since on my vehicle the ball joint is a removable piece from the control arm.  Tony recommended that the entire Control arm be replaced and after a short explanation I agreed.  Since I took the truck in, in the afternoon they ordered the part for work on the truck the next day.  The work was done in less than a day. and for less than he quoted.  I seem to remember being quoted about $20 more than the actual cost.
Later while my son was driving the truck he experienced a bump in the steering while going around turns, more pronounced to the driver side and especially when he turned right..  We could see that the control arm may have come in contact with the shock support.  I took the truck back and Oasis took care of it right away.  The sound my son probably heard was the alignment bolt slipping.  There was never any danger and Tony made sure the  problem was corrected.  I agree with him in that alignment bolts sometimes work lose sooner than later.
In summary I am very pleased with the overall attitude of the staff, the location of the shop, and the price.  I will be recommending Oasis to my friends and will definitely use them in the future.

    DISCOUNT TIRE CO
While the price of the tires is right in line with other tire places, $250 for a tire is still a lot of money. When I checked other places, Discount tire had the 2nd lowest price, but chose them due to past experience with them, as I've had good service with them.
I made an online appointment, brought in the truck, they replaced them faster than expected (though it was still about an hour's wait).
I really like the tire warranty they have. Sure, it costs money, but they completely replaced a tire after it had blown - even though it was 5 years old!

    Volvo of Tempe
They're very professional and knowledgeable about their product. They've always been courteous with me, and efficient regarding the work that needs to be done on the vehicle. Their waiting area is very nice too. They're right on time and very thorough.

    COSTCO
Costco quoted me several different options for tires. Going based on online reviews, I selected one and got them installed in about an hour. Since the installation Costco has performed free rotations and topped off the air in the tires for me whenever I stop in. They are very professional and I feel the tires they sell at the price they have is a good value. One thing I love is that Costco quotes you the out-the-door price, not simply the price of the tire which after installation turns into 2x the cost due to disposal fees, this fee, that fee, etc.. much more honest, up-front process.

    Sears
Overall the experience was ok/fair.  They replaced my tire fairly quickly, but I noticed by maintainence light came on after and there is a knocking underneath the car which they warned me about and gave an estimate to fix.  They recommend an alignment as well.  I waited sometime to be seen when I arrived due to a lack of personnel, but overall it went smootly.

    Queen Creek Tire Pros
I brought my car in for a cooling system flush and an alignment.  I also asked to have the cabin air filter replaced as well but instead they replaced the engine air filter (which was new and need not be replaced).   Service order was not written well and did not even bother to call me to inquire about why I would want a new air filter to be replaced.  To make matters worse, they said they can fix the issue in 5 minutes, but 25 minutes later I was still waiting.  I decided to replace the filter myself.    I also noticed that they didn't put one of the hoses that connects to the air filter box properly.  They also did not fill the coolant in the reservoir.  They didn't seem to care about the inconvenience they have caused and work quality is poor.  I will definitely not go back to this shop again.

    Costco Tire Center
They have great prices on brand name tires. However, they always seem to damage something in my wheel. They've stripped the lugs and nuts a couple of times, and one time broke the center cap on my wheel.  In fairness, they did reimburse me for the center cap but never for stripping the nuts and lugs. I may buy tires there but would not bring it in for rotation or balancing, in order to avoid damage.

    DISCOUNT TIRE CO
After shopping around at several locations, Discount Tire was able to offer the best price. I chose tires similar to the ones that the dealer had installed on my car, and they did a great job in under an hour. By going with Discount Tire, I am also receiving free lifetime balance and rotation on these tires, which I previously had to pay for.

    Mike's Tire Factory
They are really nice. They take you home and pick you up. He just gets you the best deal and I appreciate that. He is taking care of my brother and all of his family for years. He gives you the best deals. I love that place. I've had nails in my tire and I stopped there on my way to work and they fix them and doesn't charge me anything.
