Window Replacement reviews in Fountain Hills

  • Out of all our remodeling projects, DunRite's service and products were the best !!! The owner Sal, went above and beyond expectation in working with our very picky HOA person. His patience and extra time helped us get the products we wanted approved. Since he sells many brands, he was able to explain the advantages and disadvantages of each. We had some challening corner windows that required extra creativity to design and replace. The installers had great expertise and years of experience with this company. They were a total delight to work with. They were fast, tidy and had paid attention to detail. This operation is the epitomy of a high quality small business that can retain good workers. Their costs for the same brand products were less than the big advertisers on tv !

  • We LOVE our new master bathroom - and all the other upgrades we got done by Interior Remodeling by Simmons. We found them on Angie’s List and, after meeting with Dave Simmons, we sought no other quotes as we were very impressed with his design ideas and knowledge and, frankly, his low-key, professional manner. He provided a detailed written proposal and a reasonable payment schedule that kept things on track. Our 30-year old adobe home had a huge tiled sunken tub in the Master ensuite that we never used in the 7 years we’ve been here and the separate tiled enclosed shower was dark and outdated. We now have a beautiful, bright, elegant open bathroom with all new tile flooring, a open-ended tile and glass shower with bench, stand-alone soaker tub, gorgeous double vanity with matching custom framed mirror and separate storage cabinet in a style keeping with our adobe walls, new quartz counter, all new fixtures and great new recessed lighting and chandelier, and new double-paned glass in three windows. They also retiled the surrounds of a double-faced fireplace between the Master bedroom and ensuite - done so neatly and skilfully - and then were meticulous in matching paint for the walks affected. The work was done largely by Clint Simmons and his colleague, Fudi, who were extremely proficient in all the work done and a pleasure to work with, arriving on time and leaving our home each day in an orderly, clean state. In addition, we had them replace the old cultured marble counter in a guest bath with granite and install new taps and custom framed mirror - beautiful upgrade. They replaced our old kitchen tap and their electrician replaced chandeliers in our kitchen and dining room and the ceiling fan in our Master - love the updated look! We selected all the needed plumbing and lighting fixtures and Dave obtained them at a very reasonable price. He never tried to upsell us - instead gave us great advice on where to find what we needed at reasonable cost. His suppliers and subtrades were great. The project was delayed a bit mid-job, awaiting the arrival of our soaker tub but that wasn’t Dave’s fault. We had to change our tub choice and the new one took longer than expected to ship from the East, holding up placement of the new drain and filling in the old “sunken tib hole”. But it was well worth the wait. Whole remodel is beautiful! Clint also repaired a crack in the Saltillo tile floor in our dining room in a manner that will keep the crack from expanding but also avoided what would have been a very messy and, I suspect, very noticeable replacement job of a few tiles in the midst of a large floor. Very pleased with their wise advice and very neat, detailed work throughout. Honest, skilled, creative, professional and all nice guys who were great to work with. We were extremely pleased with Dave, Clint, Fudi and their subtrades and suppliers. We would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend this company to others.

  • It was very difficult finding anyone who repairs glass block. I found Robertson Glass Block on Angie's List. I called and was called back the next day. The following day Brian came out to look at the windows in question. He told me he would be able to match the block. It took awhile to get the bid, but when I did, it was within my expectations, so I hired them to do the work. They completely replaced the window in the shower, adding waterproof backing. They took one of the blocks from the old window and used it to replace a cracked one in the larger window over the bathtub. They also regrouted the window over the bath. All in all I was very pleased with their work and definitely would hire them again.

  • Very well. The estimators were very thorough, professional and prompt and their pricing was fair. Also the scheduling department was helpful and informative. Unfortunately my clients cancelled the contract to purchase the home but had they gone through with their home purchase, they would have definitely used Rem AD window repair.

  • It went very well. We were living in the condo throughout the project and they were neat and worked around us. They did not take shortcuts as others have done replacing windows in other condos. A great stucco and paint match. As the new sheet rock patch matured a small crack developed a year later. They came back and re taped, textured and panted and no charge to us. they stood behind their work.I would use them again and recommend them to other. The price also seemed fair.

  • This family owned business is great! I originally contracted with them to wash the windows in a house we are selling. I was so impressed that I asked them to wash the windows in our own home.
    Will definitely contact them again!

  • Initial contact with AES was October 2014 and contract was signed December 2014. Plans were drawn, City Permits were submitted/accepted by February 2015 and materials were ordered (dual pane energy efficient windows and doors). We got the original materials in April 2015, but the workers thought the windows that were ordered wouldn't fit in the space due to incorrect measurements being taken during the initial inspection of the space. After waiting several weeks for new windows to come in, these windows were found to be wrong as well, as were new windows ordered after that due to more incorrect measurements being taken. I discovered at the end of June that the original windows sitting out in my yard did indeed fit the space, as I measured the space and the windows myself. These windows were installed, along with the doors on July 16, 2015. The company sent four different workers to install the patio enclosure, and Jason (the last worker sent) was the one that installed it and got it right. Thanks to Jason for his great efforts in finally installing the windows and doors.
My concerns with this company during this process include:
    1) Lack of professionalism and communication skills on the part of the office personnel and executives within the company
    2) Concrete they had subcontractors install didn't have expansion joints and was poorly executed overall. When AES was told about this, they had no comments and didn't offer to fix it or compensate us for the poor workmanship.
    3) AES sent out electrical contractors, but wouldn't give me their names or their company name so I could verify they had the correct electrical license to do the work, so we ended up hiring our own electrical contractor.
    4) Kept telling us we were going to be so pleased with the final results, but what they didn't understand was we hired AES because we felt they were qualified to do this project within a reasonable time period and without so many mistakes. It was the incorrect measurements, poor communication, and unqualified workers that made this a very unsatisfactory project.
I am pleased with the final result, but not with the process to get there. I wouldn't recommend this company for anyone looking to do a patio enclosure/sunroom or for installation of custom doors or windows. I also wouldn't hire them again for any future projects.

  • Had a really great experience with American Vision. Looked at several completing window suppliers, but ended up using American Vision. There sales, support, and installation staff was amazing. Sales and support was very responsive when I had questions. Installation team was awesome. The quality of their install was superior. Installed all windows in a single day, including a 12-foot 3-panel, very heavy, sliding glass door. I will recommend them to others and use them on window and window treatment projects going forward.

  • CKBR is THE BEST contractor I have ever worked with!  They transformed our oddly-shaped, outdated bathroom into a beautiful masterpiece!  They spent a fair amount of their time getting the bathroom planned on paper the way we wanted it.  They had a start date and put our project on which allowed us to see day-by-day who would be showing up at our house and the tasks that would be completed that day.  That was very helpful to us.  They had most everything ordered ahead of the project start date so they had all the materials needed to complete a job each day.  They increased the shower size, put in a new, larger window to take advantage of the view from the shower and put beautiful ceramic tile in with two niches, a small bench and luxurious pebble-stone on the shower floor.  They increased the size of the toilet area and put beautiful tile on the floor.  I wanted the vanity to be like the inspirational photo and they made it exactly as it appears!  It is top quality, gorgeous wood with slow-closures and they put beautiful granite countertops in with new sinks, faucets, etc.  The inspirational photo had stacked stone on the wall and mirrors that looked like they floated on top of the stacked stone.  CKBR did an excellent job recreating that wall from the inspirational photo and it looks BEAUTIFUL!!!  I have worked with many contractors in the past and CKBR has some of the most talented people I have ever seen.  Each and every person was courteous, friendly, paid attention to details, was prompt and did phenomenal work!  I want to thank everyone at CKBR for all their efforts in creating for us our dream master bath!  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and will definitely have them back to do more work for us.  They deserve more than an A+!!!!

  • We were extremely pleased with the service and plan to use the company on a regular basis.
Aida Armour, who is the Director of Cleaning Services, arrived with the team and reviewed the specific cleaning plan, and instructed the team on how to proceed.  Her professional and very friendly approach was very reassuring and indeed the team did an excellent job.  We had had some contractors on site so the work included cleaning up several patios.  We also wanted garage cabinets ready for storage.  I was pleased to note that no task was ruled out.  The windows looked great and everything smelled fresh.  The charge is based on an hourly rate for each worker.  Aida explained that in advance so the total cost was no surprise.  I would recommend the company highly.
