Door Installation reviews in Fountain Hills

Unfortunately, no one showed up during the appointed 2-hour period. When I called I was told there had been a mix-up and someone would arrive the following day, which actually happened right at the beginning of the 2-hour period the next day. It was suggested that all 3 of my patio doors could use a re-screening, which I was aware they needed. Within 20 minutes, all 3 doors had been re-screened and were back on track, sliding easily and looking great, and I was only charged for the re-screening. Despite the initial glitch, I would definitely use Patio Door Service again.

Michael Saladino is very nice and professional individual. His workmanship was very good and every thing was done to our satisfaction. He is very punctual and will go out of his way to make sure the job is done right and do the customers liking. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Michael. It seems like there's nothing he can't do. THANKS Michael

    First Impression Ironworks
I purchased a security screen door from First Impressions Security Doors last fall. I chose them because of a recommendation from a relative. They had a booth at a local event and had a door I liked the pattern on. Within a week I was contacted by them and a sales person made an appointment with me. I was quoted $1650.00 for the door at the event and after talking to the sales person and doing a little negotiating we agreed on $925.00 If I paid in full that day. Quite a savings. My complaint is not with the door but rather with the installation and their customer service. The installer told me I didn't have to be there after he got started. I had to run out but would be back in an hour. I expected him to be there as he told me it would take 1-1//2 - 2 hours to finish. When I returned, he was not there and the door was installed poorly. It was out of square, there were uneven gaps around the door and the bottom door sweep didn't cover the gap in the step. Also, they installed the wrong lock. I called the company and told them about this and they said they would get back to me to schedule another appointment. After a couple of days I had heard nothing from them so I called them and was told they were scheduling for the next week and would get back to me. This went on for a week and a half, me calling every 3 - 4 days. I spoke to 3 people and each time I had to give them all my information including that the lock was wrong which they questioned me "are you sure you ordered that lock". Yes, It's on my receipt. You would think giving them my order number would allow them to pull up all the information. When I finally got another appointment they still couldn't narrow down the time saying "these are custom doors and installations. The time it takes to do an install varies". Great, so I'm supposed to wait around all day? Their response, "we wouldn't want you to wait all day". When the same installer came back I asked if he was proud of the job he'd done? He made some lame excuse about customers don't like having their door frames cut. I'm a former carpenter and after I pointed out the correct way to fix the problems, he went at it. Because they use non-removable screws, he had to drill and chisel them off. Scratching the powder coating which he covered over with spray paint that was supposed to match. It doesn't. Now I have a blotchy door that is not fully powder coated and a hacked up deadbolt hole. I have a friend who bought a front door from them and he had to have them come back to reinstall it as there were gaps all around the door. A different crew installed his door. Obviously, they don't hire quality installers. I need another screen door and I WON'T be calling them.

All work was performed as requested.  The workmanship was great.  Dolan was thorough and extremely professional.  Where he ran into a few challenges, we talked out the options and agreed on the best path forward.  I am very happy with the services provided.

A quality experience end to end.  The doors are spectacular.  Well made, attractive, functional.  Really outstanding.  The sales process was super.  The sales person came out, took us through the options, helped us to make choices and took all the necessary measurements.  When they left, we were so pleased with our purchase.  The installation process was great.  The installer came out, met with us to communicate the work that he was going to do and then he set about doing it in a prompt, efficient way.  He adjusted the locks to work with our master keys and explained how to care for the doors.  When he was done with the install, we were even more pleased with our purchase.  It was a great experience.

Arizona Energy Savers & Home Improvements LLC
Initial contact with AES was October 2014 and contract was signed December 2014. Plans were drawn, City Permits were submitted/accepted by February 2015 and materials were ordered (dual pane energy efficient windows and doors). We got the original materials in April 2015, but the workers thought the windows that were ordered wouldn't fit in the space due to incorrect measurements being taken during the initial inspection of the space. After waiting several weeks for new windows to come in, these windows were found to be wrong as well, as were new windows ordered after that due to more incorrect measurements being taken. I discovered at the end of June that the original windows sitting out in my yard did indeed fit the space, as I measured the space and the windows myself. These windows were installed, along with the doors on July 16, 2015. The company sent four different workers to install the patio enclosure, and Jason (the last worker sent) was the one that installed it and got it right. Thanks to Jason for his great efforts in finally installing the windows and doors.
My concerns with this company during this process include:
    1) Lack of professionalism and communication skills on the part of the office personnel and executives within the company
    2) Concrete they had subcontractors install didn't have expansion joints and was poorly executed overall. When AES was told about this, they had no comments and didn't offer to fix it or compensate us for the poor workmanship.
    3) AES sent out electrical contractors, but wouldn't give me their names or their company name so I could verify they had the correct electrical license to do the work, so we ended up hiring our own electrical contractor.
    4) Kept telling us we were going to be so pleased with the final results, but what they didn't understand was we hired AES because we felt they were qualified to do this project within a reasonable time period and without so many mistakes. It was the incorrect measurements, poor communication, and unqualified workers that made this a very unsatisfactory project.
I am pleased with the final result, but not with the process to get there. I wouldn't recommend this company for anyone looking to do a patio enclosure/sunroom or for installation of custom doors or windows. I also wouldn't hire them again for any future projects.

CKBR is THE BEST contractor I have ever worked with!  They transformed our oddly-shaped, outdated bathroom into a beautiful masterpiece!  They spent a fair amount of their time getting the bathroom planned on paper the way we wanted it.  They had a start date and put our project on which allowed us to see day-by-day who would be showing up at our house and the tasks that would be completed that day.  That was very helpful to us.  They had most everything ordered ahead of the project start date so they had all the materials needed to complete a job each day.  They increased the shower size, put in a new, larger window to take advantage of the view from the shower and put beautiful ceramic tile in with two niches, a small bench and luxurious pebble-stone on the shower floor.  They increased the size of the toilet area and put beautiful tile on the floor.  I wanted the vanity to be like the inspirational photo and they made it exactly as it appears!  It is top quality, gorgeous wood with slow-closures and they put beautiful granite countertops in with new sinks, faucets, etc.  The inspirational photo had stacked stone on the wall and mirrors that looked like they floated on top of the stacked stone.  CKBR did an excellent job recreating that wall from the inspirational photo and it looks BEAUTIFUL!!!  I have worked with many contractors in the past and CKBR has some of the most talented people I have ever seen.  Each and every person was courteous, friendly, paid attention to details, was prompt and did phenomenal work!  I want to thank everyone at CKBR for all their efforts in creating for us our dream master bath!  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and will definitely have them back to do more work for us.  They deserve more than an A+!!!!

    Door Tech Garage Doors Phoenix
I contacted Door Tech Wed afternoon after our old door opener suddenly stopped working. Luke was able to schedule Nick to come out the next morning between 10-12 to check it out. Nick arrived at 10:30 and immediately diagnosed that the  motor had froze up and I would need a new opener. Since the opener was 17 yrs old, I was expecting I would need a new one. We agreed on the price and he immediately went to work on removing the old opener and installing the new one. He was very quick and efficient and completed the job by 11:30.  The new Marantec opener is extremely quiet. Very pleased with the whole process in dealing with Luke and Nick and the professional service provided by both of them. Would definitely hire them again.

    First Impression Ironworks

Met with the salesperson to choose a door within my price range.  With his experience, he was able to answer all of my questions.  The contract was signed on 11/29/2014.

The install date was scheduled for 1/08/2015 and they called the day before to confirm.  They called 1/2 hour prior to arrival.  Matt was my installer who was extremely professional and did an excellent job.

Some minor patching had to be done from removing the old door and he did an excellent job with that, too.  It took less than 2 hours.  After the job was completed, Matt verbally explained tips for maintaining the door, as well as provided a brochure.

I would highly recommend First Impression Security Doors.
