I chose to go with her because of a friend recommendation, she had something similar done by her. She does all sorts of custom work like wedding dresses, custom dresses and alterations, and it was just really nice. If you go there and tell her exactly what you want and she would just make the outfit, its like magic. She is totally willing to change ruffle details for you and she comes up with great ideas of her own that she can just add to make it look good.

She performed alterations on 13 articles of clothing. She shortened pants, but did not press creases in the cuffs. When I complained (after paying her in cash) that she did not press creases in the cuffs she insisted that she did, then she said that the alterations did not include pressing and I would have to take the clothes to a dry cleaner to have the cuffs pressed. It would have been helpful to know that she did not do pressing up front. It would also been helpful to know that she would only accept cash for payment up front. 6 pairs of pants were brought to her because they were too tight in the waist and hips. She only measured my waist and did not alter the hips. When I pointed out to her that the hips were too tight she said that there was not sufficient material to let out the hips, but after examining the pants there was more material where she ended her seam at the hips than there was material available at the seam she altered. She lied. The waist was let out, but she let out too much and the waist was too loose. She altered three suit jackets all too big at the waist. She reduced the waist dimension but not by much and the waist dimension was still too loose after her work. She rushed the measuring when I left the clothes off compared to the much more thorough measuring job that was done at the subsequent tailor. I paid for 13 alterations. Four were done to the right dimensions, but she didn't bother to do the pressing or have it done. Nine articles were way off in terms of getting the right fit. All of the errors were on the side of less effort on her part. This did not come anywhere close to being a fair transaction. It was a ripoff. I paid her $225 for alterations. I asked for a refund and she refused. I will now be spending another $200 to finish the job and have the alterations done correctly. I have had many alterations done to clothing by tailors in my life and I am just about social security eligible and I have never encountered anything like this.

The results were terrible. After tailoring the pants were much too big at the waist and too small at the rear. The suit jackets still didn't fit. Everything had to be taken to a new tailor to be re-done. Also, Cathy does not respond to messages left on her answering machine most of the time.

Owner was rude from the start. We have used her services in the past, and the owner has consistently been a problem. We dropped off three shirts to be embroidered. When we picked up the shirts, we requested to have a copy of the digitized embroidery file. The owner refused saying that it could not be done. After consulting with several other embroidery companies in Flagstaff, it was brought to our attention that this was not the case. We went back the next day to obtain the file with this new knowledge. Again the owner refused. When it was brought to her attention that she was lying to us, she contested saying that she was not lying and that the files could not be transferred. We brought to her attention that we paid for the digitizing service and that the file was our property at that point and any other embroidery company in Flagstaff could do what we were requesting. Oh, and when we got the shirts back, the embroidery was loose and sloppy. We now will have to pay for our logo to be re-digitized by another, more reputable company.
