    Lefebvre Masonry
I called Chuck on 9/1 and he said he would come out later that day. I was thrilled he was coming out so quickly to look at my project. He called at 4:30pm to tell me he was only about 30 minutes from my house and on his way. We waited and waited and waited... At 5:30pm I called Chuck and left a message but he did not respond. He never called me back and never showed up. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY OR RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. We have since hired a different masonry company off Angie's List.

The owner, Jesse, responded with my spa representative to build a backyard oasis to include a spa surround.  My invision was intertwined with a previous customer's build and the anticipated cost was $7,000.  Jesse arrived with minimal samples, but he seemed to grasp my concept.  Prior to leaving, my spa representative said some upgrades on my part might push the quote up to $9k or $10k which I completely understood.  Jesse took down my contact information and said the itemized quote and rendering would be sent directly to me within two days.  One week later, I contacted Jesse who said he provided the information to my spa representative that day (5 days late).  I told Jesse his quote was late and asked that he provide the paying customer with the documents as it was not an all inclusive bid.  Jesse said I would have the information by the end of the day which never occurred.  I finally contact the spa representative who forwarded me the information and we were both taken back by Jesse's quote of $24,000.  Just for example, I wanted two trees removed which my landscaper qouted for $250 and Jesse quoted $1,050.  A few days later Jesse called and left a message to inquire if I had any questions.  Unfortunately, Jesse never sent me anything to inquire about.  I emailed Jesse and the spa company with customer service concerns and there was NO response from Desert Crest (Jesse).  I am now finding another company who will focus on customer service.

    Lefebvre Masonry
I initiated contact with Chuck Lefebvre by phone and he responded promptly. On his request, I texted him a collection of photos showing the damage. Chuck replied that he would need to inspect the damage on site before being able to provide options for repair, warning me that it was possible that a complete replacement might be necessary. Within a couple of days, Chuck inspected the damage and determined that repair was possible, estimating $650 depending upon the ability to locate matching stone. I was extremely pleased with this estimate and that a total replacement was not required. I gave Chuck the go-ahead to locate matching replacement stone and perform the repair. I also told Chuck that the work was not urgent and that I was fine with his scheduling it a couple of weeks away to accommodate his workload.
Chuck provided photos of candidate replacement stone but there didn't seem to be a good match available so I gave him the OK to replace all the stone. However, Chuck put forth the extra time and effort to locate the matching stone. I happily agreed to a revised project cost of $750. Chuck and one assistant worked a full day on the repair and then Chuck returned the next morning to apply grout and final cleanup.
I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the job. Chuck is pleasant, courteous, professional, and conscientious - I recommend him highly.

I have used this company and Art Zapeda twice now. The first time was about 8 years ago. He is honest, trustworthy, punctual, and best of all has an excellent design sense while doing great quality work. Even though I had used Art before I still got other bids on this job and he was the lowest even though he was installing the screen to hold the stone and others were not/

    CYC Landscaping
Work was done in a timely manner.  Crew was competent and friendly.  They were willing to work within our HOA guidlines without any problems.  Supervisors stopped by often - once or twice a day, and stayed for long periods of time.  Always came up with good solutions when the small problems arose.  As clean and neat at the end of the day as possible.  Their subcontractors (masons, electrician) were thorough and helpful.  The mason came back several times to address some of our concerns.  We had no issues with their paperwork.  Their designer met with me at a local nursery twice, to select the pottery and plant material.
This was a big job, there was lots of dirt to move into and out of the back yard.  We had piles of sand, dirt and different sizes of rocks piled in our long driveway.  It was all cleaned up (using a pressure washer) after the work was finished to our satisfaction. Even now, a year later I am still in touch with their designer as we work on the few final touches that still remain.  I am the slow one, taking my time to get it right.
After a year everything is in good working order, including the irrigation and lighting systems.  The selected plant material is healthy and thriving.  We spent a lot of money on this project and are very happy with the results.
