    Amazing Scapes LLC
Robert and his crew installed an extended travertine patio, large artificial grass section, built in grill with side burners and fridge, and a firepit. The work was quality and so were the workers. Our job was quite large and complete in 1 1/2 weeks. We had a vague idea of what we wanted going in, and with Robert's input I feel like we made our outdoor living space exactly what we were looking for. I am hypercritical of service providers and I couldn't be more pleased. What a pleasure this experience has been.

    Sidewinder Custom Pools LLC
In short it was a fantastic experience! Larry was a pleasure to work with and everything was detailed, on time and done with extreme quality (emphasis here on extreme quality). When the project started Larry explained everything in very good detail. Needless to say I had no experience in pools and his honest insight and detail was very welcome. The planning stage was back and forth and Larry will let you take your time (this is important obviously since you cannot take out the pool once in). When the work started everyone was on time and on the day that Larry estimated at start of each phase. On our side we had some changes to the original agreed upon work as the project progressed and Larry had no problems working them in.
I had 3 major projects going at the same time and Larry was very flexible in working with the other two contractors. It is worth mentioning that it was Larry who recommended TLD Landscaping Services for my back yard and that worked out extremely well since they have a history of working together. TLD did an excellent job as well and I highly recommend this if you are doing the yard and pool at the same time since they will coordinate with each other and you need not worry about anything.
One important thing to note here is that Larry will give 100% attention to you project as if it were his backyard pool. There were things that I wouldn't have thought but Larry pointed them out and took care of them. In the grand scheme of things there are minor details that need to be taken care of and Larry will make sure the project is done fully and with quality.
The price will not be your everyday boxed pool price from the store. But it will guarantee that you will have quality work done and Larry's initial estimate comes with a lot of upgraded items and functionality. Sidewinder will provide you with quality work, and peace of mind (this was important to me since I had multiple projects at the same time and timing needed to be just right to coordinate among all involved), Once the pool is done you will also get exceptional customer service that is only a phone call or a text message away.
Finally a Thank you to Angie's list for helping me find Sidewinder. Larry was my first and only bid and I wouldn't have it any other way given how everything turned out.
Larry will keep to the original estimate/budget. On our project we ran over by about $5000 only because we had some upgrades done after the initial estimate was completed.

    Sebastian Painting LLC
We found Sebastian Painting on Angie's list and they had great reviews.  The owner, Dave Sebastian, came out to see the house and give us our estimate and we were immediately impressed with him, his knowledge and his assessment of our property and our issues.  As a part of their regular service, they power wash the house and repair stucco cracks.  Our initial quote ($3900) was only for the painting the exterior of the house because we didn't know at the time that we had gutter and small roof projects.   Based on his estimate, our first impression (and his reviews on AL), we didn't even bother with a second quote.  After we received approval from the HOA, Dave was able to get us on the schedule for a 4-day job within a week and a half.
Billy and the team showed up right on time every day.  The team was very respectful and easy to talk to.  Our Association had given us instructions to use all four colors from a specific palate but they gave us no instructions on locations for the colors, so we took quite a bit of time discussing our options.  I have no talent for paint colors but the guys agreed that one of the colors simply didn't seem to fit so they took the time to walk up and down the street with me trying to find similar houses with the scheme.  We finally settled on a "lesser of two evils" from the horrible colors and based on our conversations, we set a plan and they set to work.

Day one was all prep work.  I arrived home from work on day two and really struggled with the look of the house.  (It is important to note that it wasn't Sebastian's fault - but rather the horrible, mandated paint scheme of the HOA.)  I immediately asked them to hold off on the accent until I could contact our Association and get a response.  The guys took it in stride and happily agreed to move their progress to the next side of the house until I heard back.   Without going into all of the HOA drama/details, these guys (and Dave) went above and beyond to accommodate all of the subsequent changes and they even stepped in to contact the Association mangers directly when things spiraled out of control.
We had peeling paint under our patio that they identified as being due to a roof leak.  Lucky for us they were able to do that repair work (and they did a GREAT job.)  We had also asked them to remove a gutter prior to painting and when they removed it, unbeknownst to us, there was repair work under there that needed to be done as well that they were also able to do.

    The Good
    - Overall Cost/Value
    - Attitude/Flexibility
    - Promptness
    - 5 year guarantee on the paint job
    - Multi-talented team that could perform unforeseen repairs
    Some Little "Not-So-Goods" (with notes):
-Small stucco repairs weren't a  big deal but the stucco work on the major gutter area was not very good
(Note:  When questioned, Billy did offer to try to clean it up and we told him not to worry because we intend to put another gutter in)

    - Clean up under par
We had rocks kicked on stepping stones and pathways, there was some debris left in the yard (bits of tape, paper, paint chips), a few cigarette butts, etc.
Note:  Although this was annoying, the issues with our HOA had caused them major delays.  They had scheduling conflicts with other jobs because of it and were unable to work on the weekend.  Then the following week they faced wind storms in our area which produced further delays.   They were originally scheduled to finish on 10/25 but because of the above they didn't actually leave our project until 10/31.  I can't say that I blame them for vacating the property quickly.  (Especially due to Halloween.)
    - Overspray
There was some overspray areas that I didn't notice on my walk-through.  Overspray was on our grill cover, some plant areas, doorbell, security door, etc.
We did have one unforeseen cost with Sebastian that we believe should have been "seen."  We have a second floor patio off our master bedroom.  The original quote we received included painting the exterior of the house and the wrought iron on that patio. On day three I realized that the "floor" of that patio was not painted and was told by the team that it wasn't a part of our quote.  Though it was only an addition $100, we were very surprised to find out that the exposed floor of a 2nd floor patio wasn't included as the exterior and as much as we value our experience with them, we believe this was an oversight on their part.
Despite these little "not-so-goods", our overall experience was extremely positive and we would ABSOLUTELY hire them again.
