    The way it works at Southwest, you take the machine it and pay $25 for a service estimate. If you decide to go ahead with the work, the $25 applies to the cost of repair. In the case of the copier, I was unsure whether I should go ahead and have it repaired or just get a new one, but the owner (Grant Stanfield) assured me that the particular model I had was still a very good machine and worth fixing. It's worked beautifully since the repair, and I'm glad I had it done. In the case of a very old (10+ years) HP IIP plus laser printer, I was told that after multiple repairs, it was probably time to let it go -- another good piece of advice.

    They are very customer friendly.  I called them the day before to enquire about some prices and stuff and they said that if I did get the service done, it would take an entire day.  When I went there, I just had my oil change and when I was finished they went ahead and changed my light bulb and everything.   They really went out of their way to meet my needs.  I would use them again in the future.

    It was good that he came to my house to help me because I had a time constraint.  He stopped by on his way to office and helped me.  He was very responsive and he did what I needed him to do.  He made himself available for the future.  I think their price was expensive.

    We had a plugged drain and I called Roto Rooter at 7:30 a.m. to have the drain cleared. I was told a service person would arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. At 11:45 a,m. I called and asked when someone would show up. Tony said it would be one and one-half hours more because they were "doubled up." At 1:30 p.m. I called and asked when the service person was going to show up and was told by Tony that Brian would show up when he could and Tony said he did not know when that would be. I told Tony it appeared I was being "blown off" and had been prevented from calling someone else who could have done the job already. Tony said Brian would be there eventually. I started to look for someone else to come out to clear the drain when Tony called and said Brian was on his way to our house. Brian did not show up until after 3:00 p.m. When he arrived, Brian immediately said I needed to purchase a bottle of drain cleaner from him at a cost of $50. I said I would pass on that. I told Brian that the use of the washer had backed up the drain in a bathroom. Brian said it would cost over $400 just to clear the drain from the bathroom to the main drain. This is a distance of approximately 40 feet. Brian said if I wanted the main drain cleared it would be much more. He said he would root a drain from a second bathroom to the main drain for $89. The distance from the second bathrroom was only approximately 20 feet and was not clogged. In other words Brian wanted me to pay over $500. I had had the service done several times before and knew this was a completely outrageous price for the service. It appeared Brian's attitude was that it was so late in the day by the time he arrived that if I did not agree to his price, I would be unable to use the washer, dishwasher and that bathroom until the next day. I told him I was not going to pay that amount and I would get someone else. Brian then left. However, he came back in about 20 minutes. He said he could just do the drain from the bathroom to the main drain for $205 and that was all that really needed to be done. I did not like dealing with him because of his high pressure sales tactics, but because it was late in the day and I was not sure how soon I could get someone else to come out, and because I could not afford to take another day off work to wait for someone else the next day, I reluctantly agreed to have Brian clean the drain. It took him less than one-half hour to clear the drain. Nobody should be subjected to such shoddy treatment. Later in the week, a woman from Roto Rooter called and asked if the service call had been satisfactory. After I told her about the shoddy treatment I received, she said she would talk to a suprevisor about the poor service. I never heard anything further and I have no reason to believe the company did anything to see that such shoddy service does not happen to others.

    THIS COMPANY NEVER RETURNED PHONE CALLS. THE PRINTER DID NOT WORK AND HAD MISSING PARTS. THEY EVENTUALLY PICKED IT UP. THE PERSON PICKING IT UP DROPPED IT IN OUR DOORWAY AND BROKE IT. THE OWNER PROMISED A REFUND AND STILL PROMISES A REFUND, BUT NO REFUND HAS BEEN GIVEN.
