    One fan was faulty with mechanical clunking noise coming from fan. I was not informed & discovered after they had left. Told me the screws holding the electrical box & fan bracket were previously installed with incorrect screws & that LAG screws should have been used but were not used this time either according to the new/2nd electrician. I called out a different company who said the screws were still STILL incorrect (apparently not changed as advised). The 2nd/new electrician also verified one of the fans was faulty & required replacement. I therefore had to order a new fan, return the faulty fan for a refund & pay a new electrician to do the work 100% correctly. The fans wobbled after installation & apparently were not balanced. The end result was that to correct mistakes I had to spend additional money to get the job done to 100% satisfaction. I did not call the 1st company back because it should have been done right the first time & that is my personal policy.

    Chip from Adam's Refrigeration was at my home today for an annual tune-up/inspection. I received a call within the scheduled time and he arrived shortly thereafter. Chip was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He did his thing, explained his findings, and gave a couple recommendation and suggestions. He didn't try to sell me anything and we decided I was good for the time being. The pricing was very reasonable, the service was excellent! THIS is what great customer service looks like.     It went excellently - Last year (2018) we called an SRP contractor for their spring A/C inspection special. The company came out, inspected everything and gave us an estimate of over $3,000 just for the repairs. We declined, because $3,000 is a good start to a whole new system. I asked a trusted realtor who he would recommend. He told me Johnny Cools. I called and they came out, inspected everything and their entire estimate for repairs to get us thru the summer of 2018 was $1,050. They performed their work and the A/C worked well throughout the summer of '18 as well as the most recent colder winter of '18-'19. This year we decided we should replace the entire system. With a 15 year old system I'm sure we were on borrowed time. Their recommendation was for a Day & Night 16 SEER system (the minimum is 14 SEER) because for the slight increase going from a 14 SEER to the 16 SEER system it included a new variable speed air handler (the 14 SEER had a single speed air handler) and the included thermostat monitors the inside temp and humidity against the outside temp and humidity and adjusts itself to maintain the set temperature or humidity whichever makes the most economic sense for the conditions outside. When the new A/C is on you do not hear it inside (the old one made a lot of noise inside as it was / is adjacent to our bedroom) and outside we are barely aware when the A/C is on. And as a bonus the 16 SEER qualifies for a modest rebate from SRP where the 14 SEER would not. The techs (2) were clean, courteous, professional and worked well as a team to accomplish the install within the time frame they told us it would take, along with a minimum of mess given they had to bring the old air handler out the attic access hole that is inconveniently located in our laundry room. The 16 SEER unit comes with a very long warranty (10 years parts and compressor), but it includes a 5 year unconditional warranty on the outside unit - anything that fails on the outside unit in the first 5 years we get a new outside unit.     I needed a new ac unit and couldn���t take off work to meet a contractor to get a quote. I needed to get an online quote and found I filled out the info about my home and got the units that were compatible with my home. I picked my unit and bought my unit from their website without ever having to talk to anyone. I was able to look at different units and prices and pick the option that was best for me without feeling like i was getting ripped off by some contractor on commission. Saved me a lot of time and was the lowest rate I found. The also have financing which is always nice. My unit was installed the next day and couldn���t be happier with my decision to use and would highly recommend to anyone needing a new unit.

    The AC tune-up was pretty much a joke. I'm pretty sure that the cover of the unit wasn't even taken off or the capacitor even checked like all other companies have done.. Tech found low freon and wanted 350.00 for one lb. I said no to the rip off rape but know all HVAC companies are on same page when they charge 400.00 for a 25.00 capacitor.

    The issue was fixed in a short amount of time. I would say the service person did not introduce himself so maybe a quick review of proper introduction to a new client might make the experience a little easier. It was awkward.

    I scheduled an appointment a few weeks ago for spring maintenance. The appointment was for last week. They said they'd call 30 minutes before they arrived so we would be ready for them. I gave them two phone numbers, neither phone number received a call or voicemail. They showed up, rang the doorbell, then left without any phone calls. My girlfriend was upstairs sleeping because she works nights and had her phone right next to her so she would wake up. She slept through the doorbell so they left. After that they said the next available appointment is in June which is way too late for Arizona weather. And now I hear that one of our AC units is starting to blow hot air. Guess who I WON'T be calling to come fix it. Thanks guys!
