    RED MOUNTAIN RESIDENTIAL
I have never written a review before but I had such a bad experience with Red Mountain Roofing, I am taking the time. DO NOT use this company. When given a quote, things are great. They told us many things which were not true (like they would take pictures). During the quote, we specifically asked to have the scuppers replaced. My issues with the company: 1. They changed the dates of when work would be completed, sometimes without telling us. 2. We asked them to use the extra tiles we owned. I spoke with the company 3 times about this. They did not and brought their own. 3. They made a huge mess and did not try to clean up at all. This included coating chairs and other objects which could have been moved with small foam bits. We would have happily moved things if they had told us this would happen. It ruined a small chair of my daughters. They made no efforts to pick up the trash all over the backyard. 4. They did not replace the scuppers. It wasnt until the walk through that we realized this. When we asked about it were told they did not need to be replaced. We thought this super odd because we had seen new scuppers outside our house. We had assumed they put them in. It was really disappointing but given the assurance that it wasnt necessary, we let it go. 5. However, when we went to fix the internal damage due to the roof leaking, we realized the roof was not fixed. There was a huge hole in a scupper! It took 5 weeks to fix. Apparently, our scuppers were not regular size and they had to special order them. 6. It took half a dozen phone calls to get the scuppers fixed. 7. Once the new scuppers were in, they left without caulking around the scuppers (leaving holes that went into the house). They would not have finished the job without repeated phone calls and us noticing the lack of caulk. DO NOT use this company.

    DESERT SUN
Nitemare. **Please beware this company**!!! Desert Sun is a local franchise of National Van Lines, Inc. Our moving crew on day of our move completely disregarded care of our possessions in the process and resulted in significant damages of valuable items we had entrusted to them. Our moving coordinator significantly underestimated the size/weight of our load and forced us to leave numerous outdoor items behind without reimbursement /concern of any kind from National. Our driver/crew leader left our packing crew to load our belongings for the majority of the day to attend a personal appointment. (Beer bottles found in the truck by unloading crew in MO). Many, many valuable and irreplaceable items (large-marble dresser top and small-heirloom dishes for example) were damaged due to careless and rushed packing by this unsupervised crew. In addition, our truck was 2DAYS LATE to our new home in MO resulting in numerous out of out of pocket expenses that, dispite numerous calls to National customer service about, seemed unconcerned and unapologetic about. We obtained an estimate of $2923.60 for our damaged furniture (EXCLUDING the $945 for the marble dresser top which had to be replaced with a marginally matching local remnant), and National randomly sent us a check for $1780.00 and considered our claim settled. (We have NOT yet endorsed this check!!) This leaves us with significant out of pocket expenses including the $2,088.60 in furniture repair that National has indicated is not their responsibility as our contract specified a $.60/LB damage reimbursement (despite the blatant negligence this crew obviously had for our possessions!!) Please be advised to use caution when using this local company! National has questionable oversight of their local franchise companies, and may not step up to support you either. Look elsewhere if you value your hard-earned and sentimental life's belongings. Darcy & Drew Hansen Webb City, MO

    K N C CONTRACTING

KNC Contracting is completely incompetent.  Absolutely the worst contractor I have ever had the displeasure of working with.  KNC attempted to repair my roof, and only made the leaks worse.  I was forced to hire another contractor to correct KNC's terrible repairs, only to have KNC take me to small claims court to collect money for work that had to be replaced.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    Pro Finish Painting LLC
Angel and his associates did an amazing job. In addition to power washing the entire house, they:
repaired minor structural damage to some wood beams
replaced, patched and re-textured some drywall in our patio ceiling
scraped, patched, sealed and painted the exposed concrete foundation
calked every seam & recessed nail hole in the wood siding
meticulously covered every light fixture, ceiling fan, window, etc prior to spraying the body of the house
applied a hand rolled coat over the sprayed surface
hand painted the visible face of all the trim
and also very importantly, upon completion, did a thorough clean up of the premises.
I was also extremely pleased that Angel, himself, was on the job from start to finish, insuring that the job would be done to his and our satisfaction.

    Cactus Valley Homes LLC
We were extremely pleased with the work done by Cactus Valley. We'd highly recommend Don and his crew and would not hesitate to use them again. Don adhered to the budget and the schedule. His subcontractors were professional and hard working. They were very careful of our home and always cleaned up when they were finished. Dust and dirt were kept to a minimum. Don understood our vision of the addition. He was always easy to reach and quick to return phone calls. He checked often on the progress of the project. He was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

    Krisel Construction and remodeling, Inc
I used Craig for this addition after looking into at least 10 companies. He was not the lowest priced, but was close. He is an older gentleman who can pick and choose his projects, not a massive remodeling company. He does some custom homes and some smaller projects to fill the gaps, but doesn't overbook himself. He was onsite practically every day and personally reviewed the quality of all his trades. He is fair and trustworthy.
He was very flexible with changes that came up. For instance, when the framers started framing one of the rooms with an 8 foot ceiling due to a misreading of the plan, I protested and made them stop. Craig backed me up and encouraged me to get the architect to clarify so he could make me happy, while still not having issues with the city inspector who might read it the same way. I tried to be a good customer and have all my plans and decisions well before Craig needed them, but he gets credit for clearly letting me know what we needed to decide and when he needed the decision. He was almost always available for clarifications and took my inputs seriously. It really felt like a partnership.
Craig understood my budget limitations and never tried to upsell me on items I didn't need. He did explain his recommendations for items that were more expensive or higher quality than I originally planned, and in almost all cases, convinced me. I shopped around for different flooring, plumbing, light, and paint suppliers than he recommended, but in the end, his recommendations were the best values. He clearly has the experience to know which places are the best.
Lastly, the project came in on budget, with better quality than I was expecting, about two weeks behind the original schedule (not bad for a five month project. I highly recommend Craig. For disclosure, I've never had any relationship with Craig outside of this project.

    Quality Stucco
Jim Gordon was wonderful. He has been in the business a long time, he was very professional, not pushy & very knowledgeable. He helped me in my decisions when I was uncertain. His workers were also very helpful and very professional. My home was mostly wood and part stucco. The wood was horrible after almost 30 yrs. I wanted a low maintenance home and no more wood repair. My home looks incredible. I was very happy with the price and results.

    B Ann Builders LLC
The job was done quite well and the prices were reasonable.  Project went over the budgeted time, but tolerable in my opinion seeing that it was a big project.  That said, I ran into a couple of warranty issues after the job was complete.  One was handled so-so but I'm not complaining about that one.  The other issue was simply not handled at all and this is why I am writing this review.
Approx. 8 months ago when one of the windows facing the backyard (part of the job) was hit by a ball (kids playing).  The window broke and I was surprised to see the outside pane (inside one didn't break) broke into large dagger like pieces.  This was supposed to be safety glass!  What about the rest of the windows?  This was not right.  To be clear, I was categorically told by the contractor that code required I install safety glass in the backyard windows because kids play in the backyard and accidents can happen.  This was going to cost a bit more, but obviously a no-brainer (and was told code required it anyhow so no choice either).
I called the contractor and after some phone tag he sent his window subcontractor over, and he took measurements and promised to be back within 2 weeks to fix.  The windows guy never came back and when I called the contractor (more phone tag) he promised the windows guy would contact me.  He didn't, and ever since the contractor himself stopped returning my calls.  I tried many times over several months, but nothing.  I must emphasize, the contractor seems to be a reasonable guy, I know that from dealing with him directly for several months during the project, but I believe his windows guy is not reliable (delays and mistakes throughout the project).  I'm disappointed in the contractor's handling of this because after all I am his customer and he's my point of contact not the subcontractor.  I am simply asking for these windows to be brought to spec and fitted with safety glass as I was originally told they would be.

The job went fantastic. I could not be more pleased. They are an excellent home builder, and I highly recommend them. The quality of their work, punctuality, and communication were excellent. There is really nothing I did not like.

    Priceless Construction Inc
The work schedule given to us was 3-6 months. The work is still not complete as of April 2013.. He is very poor in communication skills, does not respond to phone calls, emails or txt messages. Very careless attitude, lack of professionalism and attention to detail.
Has far exceeded the original contracted amount to have the project completed and has managed to destroy a lot of existing items for which we had to pay out of pocket to have them addressed and fixed by other contractor.
The company has been paid for their services in entirety.
As a result of the ordeal, my family has gone through a lot of mental and physical health problems.
We would'nt want anyone else to go through an experience like this.
