  • I had a ton of weeds and grass that had grown pretty thick in some areas of the front, back, and side yards. It was way too much for me to handle at the time, so I called Lambert Landscape. The crew did an excellent job, and my yards now look brand new! I am very happy with job they did, and how quickly they came out too, and I highly recommend them and intend to use them in the future!

  • it's difficult to write this review, as my wife and I understand the negative impact of posting such a review. Yet, with the previous reviews showing this to be more of a "repeat" behavior than a "one off" incident, we felt inclined to follow through with the review. We found Lani's add initially here on Angie's List. We were seeking an experienced arborist to provide care and maintenance for our one-acre yard. Lani seemed to have the qualifications we were seeking. Overall, here reviews were very positive. Yet, there were a couple very negative reviews due to a lack of professionalism with regard to following through, or negativity. We thought perhaps these were isolated incidents and since we weren't finding many qualified arborists out there, thought we would give Lani a try. I contacted Lani initially via phone and left a voicemail. Lani returned my call within 30 minutes and was quite pleasant over the conversation. She was booked for the next couple days, so we scheduled a time for a Thursday for her to stop by, look at our yard and provide a quote for services. When Thursday came, Lani called to let us know she was swamped with a client in Scottsdale and thus, couldn't make it to our place in Gilbert that day. Lani was pleasant and professional and apologized for not being able to make the appointment. Lani offered to rebook the appointment for the following day (Friday). We agreed. Friday came and Lani didn't make the scheduled appointment Friday morning. Lani did call early Friday afternoon to let us know she had received a new corporate client, which was why she wasn't able to make the appointment. Lani was still professional and apologetic in her conversation and asked to reschedule to appointment for sometime on Sunday. We agreed and Lani said she would call before coming on Sunday morning to let us know when she was on her way. Sunday came and went, however... with no call from Lani. We received another call from Lani the following Monday, again apologizing for the third missed appointment on Sunday. Lani said it was just crazy busy for her right now, but if we would leave the gate to the backyard unlocked on Tuesday, she would make it by to check out the yard and call me with a quote for the services we were requesting. I agreed, knowing I would be home all day Tuesday anyway to meet with her when she arrived. Come Tuesday, I unlocked the gate and spent most of my day working in the yard and garage, while awaiting for Lani to arrive. Unfortunately, Lani was again, a no show. We never heard from Lani again. No call to apologize for the fourth missed appointment. No call to say she was simply too busy to take on any new clients. Nothing. It's unfortunate, as I do hate to post such a negative review and we were truly hoping to find a professional, personable arborist for our yard and trees. We use Angie's list so we don't have to vet our own service professionals. I guess we should have paid attention when we found the other negative reviews regarding Lani's ability to make her appointments. Bad judgement on our part.

  • Communication was great. I asked for a call before they arrived so I had time to take the dogs out and unlock gates. They called as agreed. Before they started we went over details and everything was completed as requested. They worked almost non stop for 7 hours to complete the job. They brought all the correct tools and equipment. They even gave me suggestions that will help me make upkeep easier in the future. I will definitely use them again in the future.

  • The rental must've been okay since we received no notices from the HOA to the contrary.  There's only a small patch of grass in the backyard, the rest is desert with no plants.  The front has 2-3 trees and 1 bush to trim.  Thought cost of $45 every 2 weeks was excessive, but went with them because they received good ratings.
     The personal residence was another story.  They gave us an estimate of $60 and hour for 4 - 6 hours to clean up the property.  It took far longer than that and we received a bill for $710!  Even with that, they failed to trim 2 of the trees, one of which has now broken in the wind (abt a 30-40' ironwood).  They seemed to do a good job on the cleanup.  The first maintenance was actually over 5 weeks later.  They were asked to trim down some of the bushes, to trim the sage in he backyard as individual plants (not a hedge) and to level the trimming on the sage around the pool (it went from small to high in 2 bushes, trimmed as a hedge).  Our requests were not only not done, they did NO weed control, refused to trim 2 of the trees in the backyard.  When I mentioned it to Barry, he offered to send someone out to take care of the weeds; they won't trim any trees higher than 6'.  I told him to forget it, I'd do it myself!  We later discovered they had only trimmed 1 of the 3 palm trees in the backyard, although all 3 needed trimming.
    Last week we saw someone strolling around our backyard.  When asked what they were doing, we were told they were there to do the monthly maintenance.  It had been 3 weeks since the last maintenance!  No notice, no knock on the door, they just walked in!  We have a 109 lb dog and a 55 lb dog; both are very protective of their yard and property.  I'm sure if one of Barry's workers has been bitten we would've heard about it!  We also have about 100K worth of show horses on the property; we don't allow folks just to stroll around the property.  When I complained to Barry, he gave me a smart reply and claimed this was our "regular day" (news to me....I was never told a day the maintenance would be done on a regular basis)so I cancelled the maintenance on both the rental and our personal property.  Guess $210 a month comes easy!
    In my opinion, I would not do business with this individual/company.  From what we could tell, he has an estimator (who, based on our experience, doesn't know how to estimate....big difference between $360 and $710!), and then a couple of crews of guys (who, in our opinion don't seem to know much about landscape maintenance).  He never looks at your property or what his guys have done.  You never know when he's coming, but expects payment within 10 days of doing the maintenance.  Even when we gave his guys a check for the 1st maintenance at our residence, I was still billed several days later as though I hadn't paid.

  • Again, the install of the backyard was prompt and perfect.  Since Barry has done a great job with the install, my wife and I decided to go with his company for the biweekly maintenance.  I had scheduled with Barry to start on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.  I came home from work at 4pm and my wife told me that nobody had came.  Called Barry and was told that he wasn't sure what had happened but his crew will come out tomorrow.  I also asked if I should turn the irrigation system off (this was also set up by Barry during the backyard install in which Tuesday's were no watering because they would be doing maintenance).  He said yes, that would help.  After speaking with him, I wrote him an email asking if the crew can level out the pea gravel we had installed since I am beginning to see certain areas where the dirt ground was exposed.  I also asked if the crew can turn my irrigation system back on afterwards.  Didn't get a response, but I assume all would be done.

    Wednesday, February 11, 2015 I came home from work again at around 4pm.  My wife told me that the crew came around 11am and evened out the pea gravel.  But she never heard anything else going on in the backyard.  She went out back and found that the lawn was not mowed and the crew was gone!  She called Barry and asked why wasn't the yard mowed?  Barry called the crew back and they finally mowed it.  They never knocked on the door or got into contact with me or my wife regarding the irrigation system since the box was locked.  So I had to turn it back on myself.

    I think it's pretty much self explanatory that the yard maintenance should include mowing the lawn???  Barry and I also discussed what was to be done during the scheduled maintenance.  Having to actively follow up on requests or just simply doing the job with Barry has been very frustrating.  I pay $45 once every 2 weeks for this maintenance.  My only guess is that the business I give All American Landscaping isn't worth their time.  But my $5000 piece of business for the backyard install was, apparently.  Mind you, today's scheduled maintenance was the 1st one (they no call, no showed the initial date).  If this is a sign of things to come, I will definitely not use them nor recommend them.

  • Kyle was very punctual and found his first visit to our home for an estimate to be very good.  He gave out suggestions and took his time to listen to our concerns.  Before he left, he told us that he would draft up a proposal no later than the following Monday.  Monday came and went, nothing.  I decided to call the company on Tuesday morning and left them a voicemail.  Still nothing on Tuesday by 12pm so I called them back and spoke with Jennifer.  She immediately told me that she got my voicemail and have sent an email out to Kyle for the proposal.  My question is where is the follow up on their part that they've received my message? 
    Still haven't heard anything from them at 4pm on Tuesday.  Found Kyle's number on my phone (he had called when he couldn't locate our home).  Called and finally got through to him.  Kyle advised me that the proposal is done, but he's waiting for his boss to approve the cost.  Today is Wednesday and still nothing.  I guess my business isn't really needed.  It shouldn't be this difficult to get a hold of someone you are trying to pay money to.  We'll see how this review does to their responsiveness.

  • I am a tree that fell against my neighbors home. I was worried about any potential damage caused by the tree falling over after a wind storm. I called the Yard Experts and they promptly said that they could come out an give me an estimate. They said they could make an appointment with me that day. I stated that I would not be able to make it the same day, but the next day would be okay. The owner Raul came out and gave me some options and I told him that I would need to talk to my wife. Afterwards, we made the decision to trim the tree.

    The appointment was made for the following day after our decision. The crew came out and did way more than I thought that they would do. Not only was my tree trimmed, it was evaluated, sculpted, staked. The process took nearly 3 hours to complete, but I was advised on all the work to be done. In my opinion, the $225 was more than reasonable, if anything, I thought that it would cost much more for all that they did! With that said, I would recommend the Yard Experts to anyone.

  • Phone communications when great from the very beginning, he answered when I first called and I had asked if I would be able to get service that same week, I was told he would check with his second group and get back to me.  I texted the address and was notified shortly that he would be able to send his Uncle's group out to us the very next day.  Jesus arrived right on time within the 1 hour window they gave and went straight to work.  Both yards had gotten a bit out of control but the entire group was professional and quick.  Jesus gave the price up front when he arrived so there were no surprises by the end of the work.  The price seemed a little high but we did get next day service and good service at that.

  • I used the Yard experts for 1 year and 8 months and they never did the work they were supposed to do. They always showed up late, did not trim or mow as they said they would, fertilization, overseeding, pre emergent treatments were never done in the time periods specified. I had numerous plants die due to their lack of attention, the grass would be watered too much or not enough causing numerous die offs and brown patches, sprinklers and drip lines were not adjusted in the manner specified if at all. I constantly had to call their office to get normal maintenance done as it was being ignored. The office staff was hostile and negative, the owner Raul paid me lip service every time he and his men came to my house. I paid these guys between $140-180 a month and they never once did the service that was on the agreement they submitted to me when we began service with them. Most recently they cut my lawn down to the dirt even though it was green and healthy looking and now its brown and dead and hasn't grown back in the two weeks since they did it, they also butchered a bunch of mature plants on my property because they felt they were overgrown. This was done while I was out of town and without my consent. Thanks for that!

  • Omar, Rosario and the crew are amazing!  When I first contacted Omar to set an estimate appointment, my call was returned within minutes.  He is friendly and very professional.  On the day of the appointment, he called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.  Omar and Rosario walked our lot with us, letting us detail what we wanted to have done as well as answering many of our questions since we are new to AZ and this type of landscape, sharing their thoughts on how certain things would grow back, which ones would be best removed.  They were patient and knowledgeable and provided a price to us on the spot.  Omar even verbally detailed what the cost of some of the different services were in case we needed to scale back ("X" dollars for each big tree, etc.).  We thought the price was very good for all the work that needed to be done.  They called in the troops and we had 7 men working on the yard in a matter of minutes. 
    They did a fantastic job - it looks so clean and tidy now.  They went through with blowers after all the cutting/trimming was done.  They even mowed our grass, which we weren't expecting and was a very nice added touch.  They also skimmed the pool at the end to clean up any debris that had been blown in there.
    Thoroughly impressed.  I would highly recommend  them - A+++++.  We plan to work with them again whenever we need any kind of lawn service.
