Drywall Repair reviews in Cave Creek

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • The project went extremely well. Our Project Manager, Jacob Randall, was outstanding. He handled issues professionally and did an excellent job keeping us informed throughout the process. Our design assistant, Debbie Nagle, was also wonderful in helping us piece together all of the product elements necessary to bring our vision to life.

  • First handyman completed most of the items on my list. The faucet needed follow-up and Michele offered to send a different handyman at no cost. He cleverly figured out the issue and fixed it. I appreciated Michele's willingness to work with me to resolve it.

  • At this time it is still under construction. (9/2/2016) with about two months to go until completion. We are currently living in Pennsylvania, so you can imagine that agreeing to have somebody build your home 2400 miles away is pretty scary. After meeting with 8 builders, we asked three to bid. MTR was in the middle. We decided to go with Mansoor for several reasons: First, our gut feeling was that he was the most honest and sincere of the three. Second, he has many years of experience building homes. Third, he seemed very willing to allow me to be highly involved in the whole process, from design to construction methods to minor details. ( I had GC'd the home I live in currently, so I do know a lot about construction from that experience as well as from owning my own business for 30 years...I built several buildings and many greenhouses) Our experience to date has verified beyond doubt we were correct on those three main reasons, as well as the many other criteria we had in mind when choosing a builder. Mansoor lined us up with an architect who brought, with Mansoor's help along the way, our floorplan to a workable blueprint suitable for permit application. We had been warned that Maricopa County is a difficult place to build as far as permits and inspections. We found this to be true, but Mansoor was adept at getting things through, especially in regards to site engineering. This was where the County was really a pain. The engineering firm Mansoor used (Lemme) was most helpful, and got out the plan revisions quickly and accurately. I find Mansoor very good at keeping the project moving along...there have been no shutdowns of forward progress due to poor scheduling. He really does have a good understanding of the overall building process, and is very patient in explaining and keeping us up to date along the way. We have received countless pictures, almost every day. As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to be highly involved with every step, as much as that is possible from across the country. I think that if someone really did not want to be involved like I do, Mansoor would work that way too. Bottom line is that he is absolutely committed to building the best possible home for our retirement. We absolutely trust Mansoor to do his best (and he is very good at what he does) to build our home to be a beautiful, high quality structure. MTR runs the most neat and clean job site I have ever seen. When I built my house here in PA, the subs were all slobs, and it drove me crazy getting them to clean up. It is obvious that Mansoor runs a tight ship. I need to add that he is very good at picking good subs. His framer is an absolute class act. I flew out right after the rough framing was completed, and it was extremely well done. While I was there I spent a day with the electrician laying out exact locations of switches and fixtures, and I was impressed with him as well. The tile guys also have been superb. Really, what I have seen so far, everything looks really good. I will update this review in November when we move in.

  • It is always so much easier to write a negative review rather than a positive one; our anger fuels us and we take to the keyboard (phone, typewriter, whatever). When things go well we become more blase, which is why this review has taken so long to write. We had a basic idea of what we were looking for in the family room & Donnie & Gayle were great in translating ideas into workable solutions, keeping things on track & within our budget. Once contracts were signed, we were given a link that kept us apprised of supplies ordered & delivered, work schedules & even the name of the worker coming on specific days. I was very impressed by the professionalism & quality of their staff. We had to leave our home for 3 days due to the breaking up of tile & drywall (we have 2 small dogs as well), but they sealed off all the rooms that were not being renovated & we found the house in great condition when we returned (yes some cleaning & wiping down in the bedrooms/bathrooms but considering we now had only concrete for floors it was no biggie). From drywall to carpentry to flooring to lighting (floor outlets to canned lights to fixtures) with a fresh coat of paint to finish it off (I held them up a few days until I could decide on a color & no one complained about that!) the end result was everything we wanted & more. There are always things that are out of the contractor's control & anyone in business realizes that, but good communication is the key & of all the projects we have done, working with CKBR was the best.

  • OK all you DIYers, hanging an IKEA cabinet and assembling and hanging one of their wall mounted desks might sound like a day in the park to you but this was no easy task. Dolan (who by the way is nothing short of fantastic) knew IKEA, and he also knew how to position both items so that they opened correctly & without hitting walls etc. We wouldn't have thought of that. That's why we don't do this for a living. Dolan also showed us how to adjust the cabinet doors so that they were perfectly level and matched up with each other.
And, to impress us further (which he didn't need to do; we were already there) he repaired the hole where the outlet had been removed earlier by our electrician to make room for the cabinet. He had all the tools and supplies necessary: drywall patch and texturizer. He used our leftover paint to complete the job. We didn't ask this of him.....he just did it.
All of this took a half hour more than the $150 2-hour coupon we purchased to try this company out. When we asked what we owed him for the additional time (all of which was very well spent) Dolan told us to just keep The Handyman Next Door in mind for our next job. You can bet we will!
    Thank you!!!

  • This was a very good deal and he is professional and punctual.  I have very high vaulted ceilings in my home and my husband and I are both afraid of heights.  He removed the old broken fan and installed the new one.  He even fixed my door while he was here.  I am very happy with this service and would use/recommend this company.

  • Bill did the work in a professional manner and the completed job looked outstanding.  He cleaned the work area completely and I was very satisfied with the completed product.  Unfortunately, while he was attaching a piece of drywall to the rafters a screw or nail pinched the wire going from the garage door opener to the wall activation device which rendered it inoperable.  An electrician was called determine the problem.  He found the pinched wire and replaced it which fixed the problem.  When I contacted Bill to advise him of the issue, he immediately acknowledged his responsibility and sent a check to me the next day to cover the cost of the electrician.  In my judgement, this was a very responsible and professional act.

  • Matt was quick to come give an estimate. They workers were nice and very professional. The work was in the middle of my house and they taped and draped everything so there was no mess or dust. Great job on the dry wall. Other contractors quotes were a little higher and it was a multi day project. They used hot, fast dry mud and it was done in half a day. I did the painting myself. Great job! I couldn't be happier. I will use them again after the holidays for another project. Thanks!

  • To start off they were right on time which if they are punctual that is a great first impression. I had some water damage in my powder room bathroom so I needed drywall/painting work. The quality of work was top notch! The price was right as well. I will definitely hire Arizona Maintenance Service for all my work. I highly recommend them.

  • The offer stated a height limit of ten feet.  I emailed Jonathan, the company's owner, and requested a quote for the ceiling holes.  He quickly answered with a $25 quote.  I thought that was a very fair price.  Jonathan and his partner worked VERY quickly and were done in about an hour, even though the offer was for 1-1/2 hrs.  Consequently, he didn't charge me extra for the ceiling after all.  That's a contractor I will remember and call again.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.  I am very pleased.

HOWEVER, I hate being given an arrival time that spans several hours (10:30 - 2:00).  It ruins a person's whole day.  And it's really frustrating when workers show up at the 11th hour, in this case about 15 minutes past the projected ETA.  However, I did receive a phone call shortly before 2pm to confirm the new arrival time.  So all was/is forgiven.
