The job took longer than he said it would. I had to make them fix damages they caused to my house during the roof replacement. It has now been 6 months and I am still having problems with my skylights leaking and they have been out 4 times to fix the problem. Each time the problem gets worse. Phillip does not return phone calls.. This company does not care about their customers and the damage that is caused to their homes. They don't fix their mistakes or stand by their bad work. I would not recommend them to do your work.

On April 21, 2014, the owner had a 3:00 PM appointment to meet with us at our home. He failed to show up, and we ended up telephoning him 20 or so minutes after the scheduled time to see if he was coming. He told us he had completely forgotten about the appointment. He apologized profusely and offered to come right away, and he arrived about 40 minutes later.
On May 14, he sent us an email with an estimate for the work. We accepted it, and he and his brother then met with us on May 19. At that time, the owner requested that we agree to delay start of construction by five weeks, with a start date of June 23, with the promise that once our job was started, he could dedicate his whole crew to our job, and it would be completed in five weeks (July 29).
He made numerous promises to us, and we accepted his word as professional and a gentleman. Unfortunately, the only promise he kept to us was that we would be happy with the work quality and the completed project, which we were. But, there were numerous delays that could and should have been avoided. The job was not fully completed until October 3, 2014, over two months after his promised completion date. The fact that we were repeatedly inconvenienced didn't seem to matter to him.
There are two reasons I would not use this contractor again and would not recommend him to others: The first reason is that it became apparent to us that when he gives his word to a client, it doesn't mean anything to him. And the second reason is his defensive attitude when, upon completion of the job, we confronted him with his numerous breaches of contract (unwritten contract because he failed to provide the written contract he had promised). And he insisted the delays were caused by another job that had gone badly. He, apparently, forgot about the 3-day delay caused early on by his failure to have the required documents when the inspector came to give initial approval, so we did not get approved. And the delay caused by his failure to get an inspection done to allow the stucco subcontractor to perform his work. And the several delays caused by problems with his vehicles or other equipment, and his crew not having tools and other materials they needed to complete specific work assignments, necessitating trips into Benson and back, approximately 20 miles round trip, not to mention the number of times they borrowed tools and other items from us.

It went fine. With time, they will continue to develop their professional skills. He is very cautious. For the most part, they were professional, and they did a nice job. There was a small issue with the billing, but he was quick to fix it once I brought it up.

This is a very conscientious builder who cares about doing a good job.

From initial contact it took 3 weeks for them to be on site, work was performed in a satisfactory manner and they
did a fair job of cleaning up each day. there was a brief period when the owner couldn't be reached/ on vacation
in Iceland. would use again. overall experience 7 on the scale of 10

I called CM for an estimate. Caleb showed up when he said he would (no small accomplishment for a general contractor), and listened carefully when I explained what I needed. We walked around the site and he noticed some additional things (drainage toward house in two areas) that needed attention. He asked me questions to be sure he understood what sort of look I wanted in the end. He also talked about cheaper options and discussed the pros and cons of those. He worked up a rough estimate on the spot, and called me later to confirm it. His estimate was higher than the other estimates by a little bit, but I chose CM because he clearly understood what I wanted where the others were not very engaged with the details. Two weeks later Caleb showed up with his crew and accomplished all the work in 3 days. His operation was efficient and they seemed focused on quality. Caleb asked me some questions when the work was underway, making sure that he was doing what I wanted and that I'd be happy with the outcome. I was very happy with the finished job. CM did quality work and did it professionally and efficiently.
