After not being able to remove the leaves in the A/C unit, (the outside frame needed to be removed to get at them, and that might take a couple of hours he couldn't spend here at the discounted price. Then he told us the A/C unit had some oil leakage, AND the inside garage unit portion AND the heat pump both had oil leaks, and they could both fixed for 900.00 & 1,600.00 each. Additionally they way he explained it was more like a threat then a preventive action. 2 other pro's have looked in the garage, and said it wasn't bad there. I guess being seniors, and the man being disabled appeared to be an easy couple to scare! I can't believe their "A+" rating!

The work went very well. The tech,Kevin tried all options hoping to keep the expense down. He did his best and sadly the motor was shot. Kevin replaced the motor and stayed to make sure it was working properly. His work was very good and done in a timely manner. He definitely takes pride with the work ethics.

I've had great service from Angie's List contractors so far. We are an older couple on a fixed income and haven't used any contractors in the Bullhead City AZ area and was worried about getting a good honest one. So went on Angie's and found ACAC Inc. I spoke with the woman at the office and the manager. She told me to make sure I look at the reviews. I did and it gave me peace of mind. They scheduled my appointment and the tech came the next day. Right on time. This guy was a great worker and extremely professional! Our unit is 27 years old and I realize it's nothing like the new ones, however we are snowbirds and it dosen't get used all that much. He went up on the roof 2 stories up and did all he had to. There was a hole in a membrane between duct work and AC unit. He put a good patch on it as well. He explained it is older, but still is working fine. He just suggested a service every year now. I couldn't tell you if it's ever been serviced. I know there are many contractors that would push hard to replace it. James the tech didn't even mention it. He explained for our lifestyle and amount of use it gets just keep it going. I gave our HOA officers their card and would highly recommend this company! I hope this helps others in the area. To many out here don't know where to turn for good contractors. Start with AorB rated ones on Angie's List, read the reviews and ask if they are B rated why? I read the bad reviews and also the response of the company.

They came through with only one small glich, which was not their fault. Due to the configuration one of the ducts could not be sealed without additional equipment. They scheduled a day to come back and finish and they were right on time, again. New units are really a huge improvement over the old ones. Plus the air quality in the house has really improved.

Actually the installation went well. All the service people showed up on time, they were in uniform, and were always professional. They all seem to be on a short leash from corporate as to what they can say or do, and they have lots of paperwork to initial and sign. They want to keep their job and I want my A/C unit installed so we comply to the formalities. We needed a crane to lift the unit on the roof and the installers cut sheet metal to custom fit the connection to the main duct. They taped and sealed everything and on that hot over 100* F day I had cool air pumping through out the house. This is a vacation house for me and come out once or twice a month in the summer, and less frequent in the winter. I have guests in my house this winter. I get a call from my guests complaining that every time they turn the heat on, they get a sewer smell pumped into the house. I'm in a panic, calling anyone to troubleshoot this dilemma is going to cost big bucks, and who knows if the recommended work will solve the problem. My guest happen to work in city sewer and plumbing for 35 years and managed to figure out the problem. My sewage vent stack on my roof was within a foot of my old air unit.  No one (out of roughly 10 employees overall) ever said that this is not to code and could be a potential problem.  When they installed the new unit, the vent stack was now in the way, so they cut it down and plopped the A/C unit directly over it. Never said a word. So my guests got on the roof with photos of my old unit showing the vent stack and with some pvc rerouted the stack around the air conditioner so they can safely stay in the house and actually heat it without sewage gas odor.  Since this is a plumbing and heating company that charges a little higher than their competitors, I find this issue an example of GROSS NEGLIGENCE. I don't know BHC building codes but in Los Angeles a vent stack is supposed to be 10 feet from an A/C unit or the stack needs to exceed 2 ft above the top of the unit. I don't know why it took so long for the problem to manifest however it should not have happened in the first place! I am on a payment program to pay this thing off and having this issue surface really p***** me off.

River Valley Air Conditioning, Inc. - Kingman
River Valley worked for a month last year trying to fix an air conditioning issue. A year and two weeks later, the part they installed failed and they replaced it under warranty even though the year was up. Can't get any better service than that.

Ambient Edge With Plumbing By Jake
The technician, Tucker, was excellent!  He was very professional and extremely nice, explained everything very well and answered all of our questions.  The fix was so small (a fried wire) that he only charged us for the service call!  I would highly recommend Ambient Edge to anyone!

Told me I needed a new air conditioner and the cost would be $4400.  Also told him I had a problem with the auto switch.  Said he knew exactly what the problem was and would return with the part.   That was 2 months ago.   I have made several phone calls which he does not return and when he does answer he says he will get back to me.  Never does.   will not return phone calls
and does not follow up after installation when there are problems.

The service tech Mark arrived as promised and did a great job. He answered all of my questions and installed a new thermostat for me. He also explained the different a/c options such as heat pump. He was professional and very competent.

I will certainly use this company again.

Called because our heat pump was not putting out heat but worked well in A/C mode. They were suppose to be here between 12-2, they showed up at 2 pm. They went up on the roof and inspected unit. Then took apart the fuse box. messed with the thermostat, than went back up on the roof. Than said he could not work on unit because it is such a fire hazard, it would cost $500 to repair the unit just to get to the point where he could test it. Then wrote up all the problems, but his recommendation was to get a new unit as this one had burned up at some point. He said he would credit me sell me a new one for a total cost of $5250.00
I called Air Control, another A/C provider in the area. Had a 10-12am appointment, arrived at 11 am. within 10 minutes of arrival he had put together all the parts the other A/C place had taken apart and diagnosed the problems as the thermostat was wired incorrectly, 5 minutes later the Heat pump was putting out heat. The technician repaired some of the other minor issues with the A/C unit. Cost $220. best money I ever spent
