    AZ Time Keepers
It was a phenomenal experience and I would not hire anyone other then AZ time keepers to do the work. Jim Hawkins the owner was professional and completed the task while helping understand the process of cleaning my Grandfather clock

They did a great job however, we were quoted one price and when they were finished they tried to charge me twice as much. When I told them that my husband had gotten a quote from the owner and that it would not be more then 950 dollars he told me labor and supplies exceeded that. I asked him to call the owner and he did try to reach him unsuccessfully. He did tell me well if that is what he quoted you then thats what I'll take. I'm not sure what happened but other then that everything went very good.

He worked on repairing a large oak armoire in my guest room.  He brought everything he needed and worked quickly to repair dings and scratches as well as replacing drawer slides that were damaged by our movers.

He took two smaller pieces back to his shop to work on; a nightstand that was scratched and had cigarette burns in the top and my mother's 80 year old cedar chest that was badly in need of refinishing on the exterior.

A new piece we purchased had a couple of flaws in the wood, and we asked his opinion about returning the piece vs having the company remove it and repair it.  He took out his touch up kit and fixed it on the spot for us without charge.

His work was beautifully done, of excellent quality, very fairly priced and flawless.  The family piece he refinished now sits out in my master bedroom where I can enjoy it vs having it buried in my garage as it had been for years.  In addition to his beautiful work with wood, he is an extremely nice man to work with.  You won't regret hiring Mr. Scott to work on your furniture!

    The Village Woodsmith
I called him and he said it he would not be able to come to my home for at least a week.  I told him that was alright and we made an appointment.  He stated there was a $65 fee that would be deducted from any repair charge. He called approximately an hour after the scheduled arrival time and said he was on his  way and would be there in a half an hour.  50 minutes later he showed up with a helper.
He showed up and said he would have to take the top of the table to his shop to repair.  I asked for an estimate for the repair and he first said he couldn't give me an estimate until he got it back to his shop.  I told him without an estimate he could not take the table with him.  He then told me $325.00.  I said that's too much money and would pay him his $65 fee and would get another estimate from someone else.  He then proceeded to to actually look at the table, without saying a word to me, and hammer on the left underneath rail with a large socket.  While he was doing that his helper looked at the right rail and said there is a nail sticking out.  He carefully hit the nail back into the rail.  The table closed.  I asked him how much and he said $125.00.  I gave him a check but will never call him again or recommend him.

Apparently, this vendor has too much business.  I did some research and the short version is, I decided to go by their store in Glendale to investigate and have some one on one dialogue.  I spoke to the Manager and she seemed very eager to assist, telling me to measure the area for my built-in and give her some general idea in terms of construction and styling.  She would then render several options with their software and give me an estimate.  I then sent her an email a week or two later with all the relevant information and after two weeks, I heard NOTHING.  So, I called on the phone,  left a message saying that I was waiting on a response and sent another email.  Another couple weeks past and I stopped by the store.  It was her day off, but a gentlemen went to her desk and found my email.  He said that he'd let her know I stopped by and she'd call when she returned.  So, here we are months later and you guessed it.....crickets.  Disappointing as some of the work I've seen looks nice, but it's hard to feel comfortable with this total lack of follow-up and interest.  To make it more troublesome, the person that failed to respond was the Showroom Manager.  Oh well.....

    Spencers TV & Appliance
They were clean, fast, on-time and there were no problems. They removed the old appliances for me and installed the new ones. The only thing I'm still waiting on is a $75 rebate to arrive in the mail.

They did about 15 pieces of furniture for us. They were really great. I would highly recommend them. The guys that came to the house were very polite. They were very reasonably priced compared to other companies that we looked. We dropped everything off to them, they delivered it when they were finished.

    JD Handyman Service
Jim was on time and friendly. He had given me an estimate over the phone and explained how he would complete the projects. He worked quickly and explained to me what was being done. When he was finished he asked me to look at the work and guaranteed my satisfaction. Everything looks and works great! I would recommend Jim to anyone.

    Sears Home Services
It didn't heat. It didn't steam. It didn't clean carpets. When I called the Hoover Customer Service number to ask why no steam emitted from the cleaner I was told (and I quote) "Oh, that's just the name." That was infuriating enough but what was more enraging was when Sears charged me a restocking fee. I was told at the store and later by a national Sears customer service representative that it was because I had opened the box. When I asked exactly how I was to know that the product was defective without opening the box, the conversation ended. I'm just glad I only bought a carpet cleaner. Buying a big screen TV that doesn't receive television signals or a riding lawn mower that doesn't cut grass could really add up. I'm guessing that Sears is gouging its customers for every penny it can get before declaring bankruptcy when, no doubt, its CEO and his cronies will make off with millions. I intend never again to buy a Hoover product or to step inside a Sears store. I suggest you do likewise.
