I was seen by a nurse who took my BP and other vitals.  She asked a series of questions and was able to understand my issues.  The doctor saw me a few minutes later and was able to prescribe a medication for me.  I was out the door in short order.  I understand there are other patients with more severe issues and that can cause a delay.  They will do their best to see you but you should know this going in.  I am always satisfied with the treatment.

I went to the Urgent Care because I did not yet have a PCP.  I was seen relatively quickly.  Dr Arhin was very nice.

The doctor (Dr. Zeligman) didn't examine me. He did a quick strep test, claimed he couldn't see the white patches that were on my tonsils and the back of my throat. Nor the forming, small at the time, abscess on one tonsil. He didn't look in my ears, or feel for swollen lymph nodes. Nothing. I was surprised that when the rapid strep came back negative that they didn't send one out for a culture (often caught too early, strep may not show positive in the rapid test). Especially surprising since both my daughters are on amoxicillin for a bacterial throat infection. Also, I have a bad history of abscessed tonsils. They also ignored that fact I had been managing my fever because I'm pregnant, and even though I told them I had a low grade temp, looked me in the eye and said "you have no fever." My advice, get a GP in the area. I just hadn't had the time, but I'm looking for one now. It was a complete waste of time. And now that my tonsil is getting disgustingly worse, I have to go to ANOTHER doctor this week. At least examine your patients! The real kicker was hearing the doctor on my way out, talk about a repeat patient with back pain, "what, does she just want a refill? Ok, refill it." If you need narcotics, head to this clinic, if you're really sick, find a General Practitioner.
