First we saw Dr. Schwartz, we and our dog all just loved her. She and I even emailed back-and-forth numerous times between visits. She was always willing to answer a question or give me support. Our last visit we saw Dr. Lewis; he’s wonderful too! He answered every question thoroughly, we came up with a plan I understood, and my dog Scout (he’s usually a little nervous around people) seemed quite comfortable!! The whole office is great, technicians and receptionists included. Thank you D4A!!!

We had used them quiet a bit before. One of the visits were about a month long so they gave us a special rate. They were in the same cage. It's a kennel. They board them for whatever time you need them to be boarded.

Very well. Bill was very responsive, we arranged a 'meet and greet' visit. He asked all the right questions, and was given a tour of our home. He was very professional, took notes re: the specific responsibilities, and called a day before we were leaving to assure that there were no changes in our plans. The cats seemed to like Bill, as our reclusive one was out to see him when he returned to bring the key back after we returned. Bill also did a few extras like picking up mail, watering plants, and putting the trash out.

A great experience from initial to final contact! The office is beautiful & the office staff were helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about the vet, Dr. Phil Heitman; he was so kind & gentle with my dog and me, did a THOROUGH exam for which I was NOT charged (my old VCA vet charged $65 for exam every visit, even if we'd just been there a week earlier), was obviously knowledgeable, answering every question I could think of clearly and completely, informed me of everything that would occur. The Vets here are a father & his 2 sons. I was shocked when I heard how LOW the bill would be! A little over $300.... A DIFFERENT vet I had consulted first resulted in a confusing, frustrating experience & an estimate over $1200--for teeth cleaning and pulling an already-loose tooth on a 15 lb terrier! [The OTHER vet said pre & post X-rays (to be sure she got the root of the tooth) were necessary & a workup for Cushing's disease (because my 6 yr old dog's abdomen was slightly large !#?!?*).] THIS vet said the pre & post-extraction X-rays were NOT necessary b/c he would be able to LOOK & PROBE the socket to determine that he'd removed all of the root and that Duncan's abdominal size was probably normal for his age, but to watch for signs of a problem.... The office called afterwards to insure that Duncan was doing well. And we received a nice card thanking us for trusting them with our pet's care. There are a number of veterinarians closer to us, but we will be using this vet from now on.

We went in, originally, for a preliminary exam. We found that he had a loose tooth and needed a cleaning. The vet, Stephanie Houghton, was acting very strangely. After looking at my dog she asked if he had “Cushing’s Disease” based off the size of his belly. That seemed so bizarre to me, to jump to that conclusion. They decided to get labs, They also wanted to get a urine sample; however, their desired process was to stick a needle through his belly into his bladder. You don’t do invasive practices for something on which you have no basis. I’m an RN and she kept throwing around medical terms. Was this supposed to intimidate me? We eventually got the urine sample on our own. After bringing in the sample, she continued to use highfalutin medical terminology. His labs were all normal, but she continued to try to work up this problem she had no basis for. It seemed like she wanted to cost me more money. I take him on the day of his teeth cleaning. At that time, I asked her if she was feeling better. She never responded; more strange behavior from vet Stephanie She then suggested that I had brought up the Cushing’s disease. I reminded her it was her diagnosis. She asked that I remain quiet for the remainder of the intake. I stayed quiet for some time, and when I asked a simple question, she looked up and said “I’m feeling confronted.” It was just a bizarre experience. I eventually said to myself “This is ridiculous,” and left. I spent three hours not getting the simple teeth cleaning that I originally needed.

We arrived home to find the house absolutely immaculate, and everyone healthy and happy.  We were thrilled since we had a horrible experience previously with another pet sitter.

The parrot cage was thoroughly cleaned even though we told him it wasn't necessary since a large parrot can sometimes be aggressive.

Feeding instructions were followed thoroughly, litter box cleaned daily.

Bill left us a complete log (6 pagesto be exact), of time arriving / leaving, and all chores completed at each visit.

Bill is a wonderful man, and you would be making a huge mistake if you didn't give him a try.

Thank you again Bill......we appreciate how thorough you were😀

Had many animals staff were working on when I arrived but my dog was completed on time. She was groomed as I requested and was ready to go. Will use this groomer while I am in AZ and would recommend her to all.

I have three dogs with various behavior problems, but I
contacted Mark mainly for my Frenchie mix. He has some aggression issues,
especially with food and other male dogs. Also, he generally just never
listened to me. Going for walks was a thankless task, as he would get to the
neighbor's house, decide he was done, and then lay in the street until I picked
him up and carried him home. I signed up for the private beginner lessons and I
asked Mark to come to my home, because to me, it made more sense for my dogs to
    learn in their own environment.
Mark is extremely professional and always arrived on time. I felt comfortable
with him immediately. (I admit to asking my mother to come over for the first
lesson because the idea of having a strange man in my house kind of creeped me
out, but this was a non-issue!)
Even after one lesson, I noticed a huge change in my dog's behavior. He was
actually listening to me and was able to sit and stay (the stay was the hard
part!). After all five lessons, he was able to successfully walk around the
neighborhood with one of Mark's male dogs, which really was two miracles: the
fact that he walked that far and that he never tried to eat the other dog.
There have been so many positive changes in my dog's behavior and I am sure
that with more practice, he will continue to improve. At the end of our final
lesson, Mark let me know that if any issues or concerns came up in the future,
that I could call/text/email him for assistance and that I can attend any group
    lessons for free.
I can't recommend Doggie Steps enough. I learned a lot about dog behavior in
general and I feel like I am much better at communicating with them now.
    Thanks again Mark!

    And this is from "MoM':
I found Mark on Angie's list and gave the information to my daughter.  Yes I did attend the first lesson to make her feel more comfortable, but I continued to attend to experience Mark's wisdom with dogs.  It was so fun to watch the progress and how Mark interacted with the dogs and Lori.  I missed "graduation" but it was truly a pleasure to meet Mark,  He is very professional, knowledgeable, personable and AMAZING.  Do not hesitate to contact Mark with any training needs you may have.

I contacted this company because of an Angie's list review. I talked directly to the owner. An appointment was made for the owner and my critter caretaker to meet prior to needing their services. I completed an online information packet that allowed me to provide pertinent information about myself and my pets. I was impressed at the meeting, Dawn, the owner, and Claire, my caretaker, were very receptive to my concerns. They reassured me that my idiosyncrasies about their care were common and understandable since our pets are our family members. After meeting with them I was comfortable that they both had an understanding of my pets needs (and mine!). While gone for 10 days I received daily text updates from Claire and even a picture or two. If I my cats weren't in stealth mode, I'm sure I would have received more. The updates were great...they really relieved any concerns I had about who was caring for my 3 cats. Upon my return I had an incredibly in depth report left by Claire. It detailed the dates and times of her visits and what she did during each visit. Also information on any kitty sightings or activity. From beginning to end there was professionalism that led to trust for this company, Dawn and Claire. I would recommend Critter Caretakers Pet Sitting and would certainly use them the next time I need care for my cats.
