Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Sherwood

I spoke with Jeff, who was very professional and honest. Although, Jeff was unable to do the Kitchen Remodel, he was more than willing to assist in my search of a good contractor. If he was interested in doing a Kitchen remodel, I believe he would have been a great contractor to work with. In the future I plan to get some exterior work done on my house and would likely call Jeff before calling anyone else.

John stripped everything out of old bath from floor to ceiling.  He replaced old tub with new shower, and installed new vanity, medicine cabinet, towel closet, plumbing fixtures, towel and grab bars, mirror and light fixtures.  He maintained an established schedule and the bath was ready to use at the established time.

Work was not performed. This estimate was more than double the other estimates. However, I have a friend who used this company for a big addition to their home and did an excellent job. I believe that our job was too small for them and we received such a large estimate. Basically, that if they were going to take time away from larger jobs to do this little one, then it needed to be worth their time. I would probably get estimates from them in the future for larger projects.

Aside from an odor that lingered for a day or two, this was an easy and inexpensive way to update a bathroom.  It takes about 5 hours per bathroom.  With new hardware I have two new bathrooms.

\First, I ordered a complete redo of the whole bath. Found out later they only do the bathtub area. Inexperienced sales guy - but he did a good job selling it if they really did all that stuff!
Second, he wrote the wrong wall covering down and ordered it. However, I signed it - but I wanted the marble look and could not talk about anything else during the sales deal. Can't see why the ugly stuff that came in would even merit what we talked about.
I cried like a baby. I had waited so long to do this remodel. They made it useable and got the panels that I wanted. But it all really was moot, because I had gone from $14thou and a grand bathroom to a tub area only and it cost $9750. I am telling all as I don't want anyone else to be the sucker I was.
Even when they got the right panels, the finish work was terrible. Again, I was heart broken. The sales manager, Tim Peters came out and looked at it and agreed! Made a bunch of promises and never kept them. He did bring one piece of trim at a later date. I could tell by the way he was dressed he wasn't going to work. His shoes were Sketchers, but they looked like house shoes. No crew accompanied him. I was duped again. He even made more extravagant promises. I thought to myself, this is too good to be true about the things he was saying. And it was.
All I mainly got were untruths, poor installation and finish work and inexperience. They sure cashed my check real fast!!! I have pictures too.

After a lot of research online, my husband I met with a
couple of contractors and hired Jeff for our remodeling project as we found him
humble, knowledgeable and professional. He created the design that we really
like and most importantly, kept us from making mistakes. Advised us with every
selection for kitchen and bathroom (cabinet stain, granite, tile, lighting,
    paint etc)
Some of the qualities that we admire and would like to
Punctual: Met with us every morning and went over the
work to be done for the day and called in every evening to update the report. He
is always available thru text or phone.
Making the project easy and painless on the customer:
Jeff advised the kitchen would be much brighter if we added another track light
similar to the one we had bought, he offered to go to the home depot himself
and get that and the exhaust fan for the bathroom.
Customer Service: We had decided on a stain for the
cabinets, but the day before the painter came in, I showed a picture of stain
that I liked. That afternoon Jeff drove all the way to my work with plywood
painted with different stains. Things like this make the difference.
Perfection: We had a handy man install the towel rods
in the bathrooms. He did an awful job where he didn?t install them on the stud
    making a gaping hole on the wall over time. We asked Jeff to install the rod;
he not only installed the new one but also filled the hole on the wall and even
    painted the spot.
Saved us some money: We have 3 exterior doors that we
were thinking of replacing, Jeff recommended we could keep the same doors by
doing a little work (chiseled the rot, fill) and paint to give a brand new look
    to the doors.
Invoice was provided frequently so we knew exactly where we
    were on the payments.
As we liked his workmanship, we added a couple
more projects and are very satisfied with the outcome. We love our new kitchen
and bathrooms and highly recommend Wilkins Remodeling

Approximately 5 month extensive remodel of 1953 ranch style house. James Lewis and partner Mike did excellent job as contractor to coordinate the work with other service contractors, adjust job items as needed and oversee quality of work in general - very easy to work with and straighforward in business dealings. Mr Lewis provided a detailed estimate of all the job items requested. Changes made in costs due to change in materials or additional work needed were discussed as work progressed and provided at invoicing - the detail made the invoicing clear and easy to follow. Any changes required - we ran into further electric and plumbing repair needed - were discussed and approved beforehand. Of special note was their willingness and ability to meet a move-in deadline; I was leasing another residence during the repair.
All the workers involved in the different stages of work were professional and great to work with - they were meticulous with their work and ensured it was top quality. You could tell they took pride in their work and worked well together!
    Partial list of work accomplished:
Removed old exterior siding and replaced with Hardiboard siding; replaced all windows; attic and wall insulation
Demo of bathroom; rebuilt bath with walk-in shower and tub; tile shower, tub surround and floor; walls wainscot "beadboard"
Built new master closet, remodeled existing bedroom (2) closets
"Bump-out" of old bedroom to square off house living space
Contractor for electric and plumbing repair and replace
    Contractor for Hardwood floor refinishing
Overall a very good experience and would recommend Lewis and Company without reservation.

I own the rental house where this work was accomplished, but live out of state.  It's difficult to keep everything working when you are not in the area.  I contacted Jeff Reed of Sherwood Home Improvement and gave him a brief rundown on what I thought was wrong with the kitchen floor (leaking refrigerator from prior tenant had gotten under flooring and softened the floor in two areas).  Following the repairs, I also wanted new flooring placed in kitchen and pantry area.  Also, I needed several faucets replaced and a board replaced on outside of house (squirrel damage).   Jeff contacted tenant and arranged to take a look at all the problems I described.  He gave me an estimate for repair that I thought was very reasonable.   After completion of the floor repairs, I contacted my tenant who is a lovely elderly woman and she was very very impressed with the work Jeff did, and also the courtesy he displayed during the entire time he was in her home.   WOULD I USE JEFF AGAIN - I ALREADY HAVE.   I will report on that job as soon as it is complete.

They quoted a little over $7000. They were very thorough and very professional. I got quotes from several others, he was by far the most fair as far as paying attention to details, and I thought the quote was fair. We decided not using Lewis because we decided to our house up on the market but had we needed to move forward with the remodel, we would have chosen him. He came out in June and I didn't get the quote until the end of July, so I thought he was never going to respond back and I was not worried about it because we decided to put the house on the market. He was very professional and very kind. The response time was little bit longer than I had expected but overall, it was good.
