    THEY MADE TWO TRIPS, DID"NT FIX THE FIRST TIME THAN OVERCHARGED ME FOR A PART,. THE PART LIST PRICE IS $18.98 THEY CHARGED ME $113.00. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR THE SECOND CALL, THEY BUILT THE CALL INTO THE PRICE OF THE PART. THATS DISHONEST.

    Very well! Charlie, my service tech, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He identified the issue as a bad capacitor and had me fixed up in less than an hour. Very relieved that he could come out so quickly and get my issue resolved. I was back in business before noon! I will be switching to Middleton for my maint. agreement as soon as my current agreement expires.

    It's $215 and that includes a spring checkup for the A/C and a fall checkup for the heat. The price is kind of a little high. They just come and check and clean and you pay them and they go. Just one person comes out to complete the work, it takes about 30 minutes for the work to be completed. They leave the area clean when it's done.

    I've been dealing with previous A/C repair work done through my home warrant company since April. Originally, they replaced my compressor in my outside unit. After still having cooling issues, they then decided I needed a new air handler. After getting the run around for over a month, I finally decided to go with a reputable company for my ac repair. The guys at Jay's were very knowledgeable and informative. Paul, the sales manager, came out first and gave me some quotes on a new air handler replacement. He also suggested that I have one of their tech's check for a Freon leak so that I'm not paying for un-needed replacement. Brad, the HVAC tech, came out next. He checked the existing evap coil for leaks, and found none. He eventually found the leak on the outside unit, where the warranty company's contractor installed my new compressor. Not only that, he pointed out a couple of wires that were suspiciously cut that shouldn't have been. I'm definitely glad I contacted Jay's. They were very helpful, and didn't pressure me a new air handler just to make money. They corrected another's company crappy work, and saved me money in the process.

    Paid equipment costs up front.  Still do not have all of equipment and most of installation in incomplete after 3 months.  Terry Clement's (owner) does not return calls and does not show when he says he will.

    Had two other service companies look at the work to done. One wanted $750 to replace the heat exchanger and do nothing else. Another company want to sell us a new unit because they weren't a dealer for the unit....just $5000! Jays came, at no charge, assessed the problem, ordered the parts and was fixed very quickly. All their people are super nice and very professional. Will recommend these people to everyone!

    The entire HVAC duct work was removed beneath the house to accommodate foundation repair & installation of joist support. The work was not easy as it was in the crawlspace. A/C cooling and heat are better distributed than before, despite the original builders undersized small return.  It all went well, these folks have a pretty busy schedule, so call ahead.

    When the a/c stopped working I called Around the Clock Heating and Air because we had used them several times before but for minor issues.  It was about lunch time when I called and he was at our house around 4 pm that day.  He told my husband and I that we need a new a/c unit.  I was scared at how much it was going to cost but his price was very reasonable.  We were without a/c for only 3 days.  He even made sure that we knew about the manufactures warranty on the unit and how to register it with the company.

    I am updating my original review and ratings for Excel.  My original
    posting was based on a misunderstanding regarding industry standard
    response times.  As a new Angie's List customer, I wasn't fully aware of
    typical response times for scheduling purchased services.  After receiving
    clarification from Excel, I apologized for the misunderstanding on my
    end, and they promptly scheduled a service appointment.  I'm confidant
    they will do a great job, and once completed, I'll provide my final
    review comments/ratings.

    This is an excellent company to do business with. They were not the cheapest but they were the most professional and detailed bid I received. We had a few bumps while doing the install but they handled it with ease. Without doubt the best HVAC company I've ever done business with.
