  • He and his wife came by the house.  She visited with my mom while he examined and measured the area to be worked on.  Unfortunately, he was not able to do the work because of an emergency out of town.

  • Andy Anderson from Southwest Refrigeration has handled all my HVAC issues for almost 20yrs. I wouldn't call anyone else. He's always quick to respond, usually the same day or early the next morning. He doesn't recommend anything that isn't needed... "If it's not broke, don't fix it".  Prices are reasonable, quality service, and trusted workmanship. If you've got HVAC work that needs attention, call Andy. He'll take good care of you!

  • We have had good electricians do work for us before, but Tracy is a Master Electrician. We had three plug-ins that would not work. Other electricians could not find the problem. Tracy went right to the problem, showed us what was wrong, and fixed the problem. He took about ten minutes.
Tracy is polite, prompt, honest, and competent. We would not have anyone else do our electrical work.

  • Andy Reeder laid the bricks on our house. This was at least 9,000 antique bricks. They did a fabulous job and I couldn't ask for anything better. He put in what are called coin corners. We had a millstone from the civil war that we installed, and Andy put a half-fan around it. The price was reasonable especially since we already had the antique bricks.

On another side of our home, Shane Reeder laid about 16 tons of rock, and it looks absolutely beautiful. If you need rock work done, this is your guy!

They charged the going rate for this area, but the work was worth more than what they charged.

With any bricklayer, be sure they understand:  the kind of corners you want (simple, coin, etc.) / the kind of joint you want between bricks (raked as used with almost all modern brick, antique as we used, etc.) / the kind of wall top (simple as we used, marching soldiers, etc.) / the type of window sill (we used a display box effect).

  • We had trouble with one of our circuit breakers shutting the lights off all the time. We called an electrician to install a new circuit box, but that did not work. Another electrician wanted to re-wire the entire house. Once we called Juan Canales, he finally determined that the issue was transformer. We called the electric company and we have not had any problems since. I would definitely recommended Juan to anyone and use him again.

  • it was a disaster.  i don't want to see the following happen to anyone else.

i paid hawthorne home improvement $16,000 to put vinyl siding on the underside of my house at langley, ar.  howard hawthorn saw a chance to take advantage of an old man and took it.  i have .pdf showing vinyl and aluminum siding falling off and the crooked installation.

howard hawthorne has been back several times.  here is a list of the ridiculous excuses hawthorne has given me:

the siding will be ok when the rock (actually brick) is put up:  the brick has been installed and the siding is worse than ever.the installation on of the brick is the problem:  much of the crooked siding does not even touch the bricks.  is the problem that the brick  was not installed or because it  was installed?

the attic got too hot:  the roof decking has a thin layer of an aluminum on it.  this aluminum reflects the heat and alone keeps the attic 20 degrees cooler.  not only that, this house has a ridge vent  combined with eves with holes in them so that air from the outside  can circulate through the attic.  special walls were installed in the  attic to prevent insulation from covering these holes

.the hot exhaust from a tractor  caused the vinyl to warp:  there are no scorch marks on the vinyl.  the vinyl is two feet above the tractor exhaust in an open carport, not an enclosed garage.  furthermore, one of the few places where the siding is straight is above the tractor exhaust.  not only that, much of the siding that is falling off is crooked is above porch where a tractor cannot possibly be driven

the wind blew the siding off:  wind would not damage my house, but not damage any other structure in the  area was.i don't believe anything howard hawthorne says.

the last time howard hawthorne came, when i was there, howard took measurements.  i have not seen him since.  i don't believe anything howard hawthorne says.

if you like to see the mess that howard made, call me at 870 845-4734 or cell 870 845-8632.

  • Hawthorn Home Improvement installed vinyl and aluminum siding on the eves of my house at Langley, AR.  It was a disaster. I do not want to see the following happen to anyone else.  Call  me at 870 845-8734 or cell 870 845-8632 if you would like to see the kind of work Hawthorne Home Improvement does.

I paid Howard Hawthorne $16,000 to install vinyl siding on the eves of my house at Langley, AR.   The siding is crooked and is falling off.  .pdf show the crooked installation of the siding and the siding falling off.  Howard has been back several times to look at the mess he made.  This a list of the excuses he has made:

The siding will be ok after the rock (actually brick) is installed.   The brick has been installed and the siding is worse than ever.  Is the problem that the brick has not  been installed or that the brick has been installed?   Some of the siding does not even touch the brick.

The attic got too hot.  The decking on the roof has a thin sheet of aluminum called tech shield.  This shields the attic from the heat of the sun, and by itself reduces the temperature of the attic by 20 degrees.   In addition, there is ridge vent.   Combined with the holes in the siding under the eves this allows outside air to enter through the holes.   A special wall was built in the attic to prevent insulation from covering these holes.  Does this mean that the vinyl Hawthorne Home Improvement uses warps because  of attic heat?

The hot exhaust from a tractor parked under the carport warped the vinyl:   There are no scorch marks on the vinyl.   The tractor is parked under an open carport not an enclosed garage, and the exhaust comes out two feet below the vinyl.  Furthermore, one of the few places where the vinyl is straight is above the tractor exhaust.   Not only that, much of the crooked siding  is above a porch where you cannot drive a tractor.

The most recent excuse is that the wind blew the siding off.   It is ridiculous to the think that the wind damaged my house, but did not damage any other structure in the area.  The last time Howard Hawthorne came when I was there, he took measurements of the vinyl he would need to fix the problem.  That was months ago, and I have not have heard from him since

I do not believe anything Howard says.

  • We had powderpost beetles and Terminix had no way of getting rid of them, but otherwise Terminix did a good job getting rid of my termites. They were very professional and punctual.
