    He is also the director of the emergency room of the Ash Down, Arkansas hospital. He has advised me on books to read and exercise. He told me if I did not walk everyday that he would be able to tell at the next visit so he is not one of those doctors who just writes out prescriptions and sends me on my way. He really wants to see me be pro-active and make things better for myself and get off the medications. He is very kind and offers more information than any other doctor I have ever had. It is always in and out with every other doctor other than my primary care physician. He is very good and is the best doctor I have ever been to. There is one lady in particular that is horrible. The rest are very kind, but I always end up having to deal with this one lady.

    Dr. DeVoe truly understands the treatment and management of chronic pain. He provides injections, pain blocking device implants and drug interventions. He will work with you until you can get the rest you once had and be able to return to as close previous activities as possible. I can't thank him enough for the care he has provided.

    My mother is 79, has advanced Alzheimer's, is in poor health, is restricted to a wheelchair, just spent 5 months in the hospital and rehab, and went home right before Christmas 2012.  She's been seeing a pain mgmt dr for several years due to chronic back pain from injury/surgeries, and has required high doses of pain meds for many years.  Her pain dr, Michael Stone, only sees patients one day monthly, so it isn't as if you can just drop in or get a last-minute appt.  Her latest appt was made 5 weeks in advance for mid-day (12:30 pm) in order to accomodate the limitations of her health and the disease.  We waited in a very cold waiting room until 3:12 pm, then were taken back to an even colder exam room to wait until 3:24 pm.  Right....almost 3 solid hours of being cold, tired, sundowning, and being told the dr was "running a tad bit behind"!  When he finally came in, my mother spent about 2 minutes telling him how unhappy she was about having to wait so long and for being so cold.  She was bundled up in 2 sweaters, a winter coat, mittens, and was still cold.  When she finished, my father and I told him it was most unacceptable to keep her and all his other patients waiting such a long time and no one even had the decency to warn us he was running behind.  We tried to be civil and respectful of him, but we'd had enough of waiting and being put off by his staff.  Granted, the receptionist kindly offered to reschedule her appt, but we'd already waited 5 weeks and would have to wait another month when she needed her meds refilled right then due to the timing of refills at rehab and her discharge date.  ???  Dr. Stone let us have our say, then told us to stop and listen to HIS side.  HE was upset because we "came in with an attitude".  I told him right away that we came in with a good attitude, but after three hours of waiting in a cold room, we'd lost that good feeling.  HE was abrupt, bordering on plain old rude, and made it clear that he felt we were the problem, he was just the long-suffering doctor who was being verbally abused.  We only spent a few minutes with him and left thoroughly disappointed in his attitude.   And what did we receive in the mail from him a few days ago?  A short, to the point statement saying he was dropping her as a patient due to our dissatisfaction with his services.  Who wouldn't be dissatisfied after waiting three hours for a mid-day appt with a patient who cannot fathom "wait a little while longer" and has no sense of time so three hours might just as well be three weeks?  And why have the waiting room so was a cold day in Little Rock, one requiring coats and winter clothing.  How can he treat his patients that way?  And it wasn't just us...he had quite a few other patients waiting the same time, one being even older and more ill than my mother.  This doctor came off as being arrogant, privileged, and "special", treating us as if we were to wait quietly until he deemed it time to grace us with his presence.  His time is worth something as a doctor, but does that make OUR time worthless?  And what about the "do no harm" part of his business?  He has no idea how rough our afternoon and night turned out due to the extra time my mother spent away from familiar surroundings and in the wheelchair, being out during her sundowning (a rough time at best with Alzheimer's patients), and being so chilled for so long.  Once someone that old and ill gets so cold, it takes hours for her to stop hurting and he should know that.  And my father is in barely better shape, so it affected him as much as her.  Older people wracked with arthritis cannot tolerate being that cold for so long.  We will never return to this doctor, probably wouldn't have anyway, and will be certain to tell everyone we meet how he treated his patients that day.

    The staff was rude and so was the doctor and I had to wait for 2 1/2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. When I complained about the long wait, I was told I could find another clinic and they would give me names and addresses for another clinic 3 hours away. That is not the way to do business in my opinion. I will never return to that clinic! If you arrive late for your appointment they refuse to see you. The treatments did not help me and the doctor seemed unconcerned about it.

    They automatically think you want pills and they aren't even going to treat you unless it is a condition In which a nerve block is treatment I have RA and boarder line lupus so widespread inflammation and joint pain that puts me in the bed in tears I asked for advice from the doctor he said there is nothing I can do there is nothing wrong with you I can see he had all my lab work and X-rays showing my condition from my primary care ( that made my referral to see him) and also from a ruematoligist and neurologist I had plenty of proof that I was indeed in pain he is a quack that I paid $300 for nothing at all such a waste guess they make the big bucks doing nerve blocks
