    I called and made an appointment. They were ready for me when I arrived. It took about 20 minutes to complete the service. I felt the cost a little high for a basic oil change but that's to be expected from a dealership.

    I had the fan belt changed a few years ago. When the car was ready, they had it waiting in a separate bay where the ready cars are parked, and they had left it running (they don't do this any more but at the time that's how I had found it). About half way home (a 230 mile trip) there was a screeching noise so I got out of the car, popped the hood, but couldn't seen anything. When I got home I took the belt off myself and found out it was too big. I purchased another belt myself and installed it and it worked okay. When I called Toyota Dallas to tell them about this they refunded the price of the belt but wouldn't refund the labor.

    More recently, I was up in Dallas on the 23rd of this month. I knew the coolant and transmission fluids needed to be changed so I gave them another chance. They charged about $400 this time, and they used a special coolant and transmission fluid which has about a 4 year life. The next day I was getting ready to leave and decided to pop the radiator cap to check it, and sure enough, I couldn't see any fluid. I went back in and they tipped off the fluid. I left a few days later and when I got home and pulled in the driveway I noticed some transmission fluid on the ground. I believe they overfilled it and it's leaking out. I called Toyota Dallas and told them about it. The owner said there are closer Toyota dealerships who should honor fixing it as I was concerned about driving all that way again. I'm going to take my Toyota over to a local mechanic today to see what they have to say. I won't use Toyota Dallas again in the future.

    They gave me a full refund. They apologized profusely. They also started putting plastic covers on steering wheel, seats, and floor covers. It looks to me like they have tightened up their service department since the issue. I also thought it was convenient with their parts department that they could have a new key cut with just the VIN number and within 5 minutes, which fixed an issue of the key not opening the trunk.

    He had done our vehicle and our daughter’s too.  He was appointed by my husband when we started.  He is specialized in foreign cars and high end dollar cars.  He is a master.  He doesn’t over charge you.  If everybody else is charging $60 he will charge you $40.  He will not over charge you for parts, labor or anything.  He will tell you how it is, what it is and that’s the way it is.  He is very good auto service man.  He doesn’t pull any punches with you.  His name is John Ponthreux.
