AKey PaintingFixing up a century old home is a daunting task. Ana made it a breeze. The room is unrecognizable, and would have taken me MONTHS to complete (15ft ceilings, 8000 sq ft). AJs Home ImprovementFantastic, Chris designed an extension to the bench seating to prevent the dog from being able to be seen or to look over the privacy fence. The design was fantastic and it looks good. It was made from pressure treated wood and in 6 months or so I will be having Js Home Improvement back to stain the extension and the deck so they match in color. I would hire Js for any project at my home.- Jack W.

AUnlimited Mobile WashJoe Frazier and his crew of four arrived promptly, received instructions, and worked diligently for over eight hours, pressure cleaning the vinyl siding and brick exterior of my house, large deck, and fences that had not been pressure cleaned since being built beside large oaks in 1991. Their work was meticulous and they were very considerate. They moved many flower pots, racks, all movable outdoor furniture, and the grill to clean the entire floor of the deck, replacing everything when their work was completed. The concrete looked freshly-poured, without stains. The siding and fences looked new. I don't know comparable prices for similar challenging jobs, but what I paid (about $31 per person per hour) was certainly less than the cost of a new paint job. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. In the future, I'll call Mr. Frazier annually for inexpensive touch-up pressure washing to prevent the pollen and mold from taking over again.- John S.

FArkansas Decks and MoreDO NOT EVER HIRE ERIC MATTHEWS with ARKANSAS DECKS and MORE. He has LIED to us. HE STOLE OUR MONEY and DID NOT DO ANY WORK AT OUR HOUSE!!!!! Here are the details: My husband and I decided to use Eric Matthews with Arkansas Decks & More to complete a backyard project. This project included removing a deck, pouring a concrete patio, building a pavilion, drain work and flattening a portion of our backyard. At first, Mr. Matthews was very quick to respond to us and was able to come to our house to discuss the project. He gave us a detailed estimate in a matter of days. Mr. Matthews picked up a check for our deposit on July 1. He told us he would start work on our project the beginning of August. The end of July rolled around and from that point on, any communication was started by me. Over the next 6 weeks I would text and ask when he would begin work. Mr. Matthews continued to say “next week”, “soon”, “I’m getting closer”, he told me TWICE he would be here “next week”. After weeks and weeks of not hearing from him (and 7 weeks after our project was supposed to start) we decided on September 17 to cancel with him. We sent an email to Mr. Matthews telling him we are cancelling our project with him and need our deposit in FULL returned to us. No response. Then I called him. I was sent to voice mail after 2 rings, so No answer. He got back to me via text on the evening of the 18th saying he had his concrete guy lined up for next week and apologized for taking so long. I responded telling him I understood but that we had decided to go a different direction and AGAIN, we are cancelling your job and expect our deposit back. I kept texting each day. He finally responded on Sept. 21, saying he was out of town and would get back to me next week (even though the week before he told me he was starting our project, but now he’s out of town??hmmm, doesn’t add up!) Since September 21 We have asked for our money back EVERY DAY. Mr. Matthews has not responded and has not returned our money!!! DO NOT EVER HIRE ERIC MATTHEWS with ARKANSAS DECKS AND MORE. He has LIED to us and he has STOLEN our money.- Eimear F.

He drew up plans, made the project "up to code" with the city of Sherwood, showed up on time, worked diligently, and finished a large scale covered patio (with roofing and shingles) in 3 days. We are very pleased with his expertise, communication and pricing. After every day of his work, he would clean up the wood scraps and my backyard never really looked like a construction site. If we ever need anything done in the future, I'm calling Eddy. He has my 100% recommendation for any work you may need done at your property. Well done Eddy!- West F.

AGet-ER-Done Handyman ServicesEddy Higgins and his crew at Get Er Done are capable, fast, dependable, and pleasant to work with. They first came in to install wall tile around a new free-standing tub that was already in place. So it was a difficult job because of the obstacle since the new tub had plumbing installed and could not be moved. They finished in about four hours and the job was immaculate, and the price was more than fair. They then hung shelves, upgraded light fixtures, added safety bars, and generally just finished off my entire honey-do list, with no honey required. Again, the work was perfect and quick, and the price was excellent. Then I had them bid on new construction of a 14' x 20' screen porch about five feet off the ground, with lights, ceiling fans, electric receptacles, a roof connected to my house, outdoor lighting, new guttering, pet doors, renovated steps into the garage, and a large apron deck outside the screened area for the grill etc. The bid was, again, more than fair, and they (again) knocked it out in no time flat, just exactly as I had specified. During the job, they painted my wrought iron outdoor furniture, waterproofed my rattan porch furniture, watersealed the decking, and treated the tall steps from the porch to the yard with slip-proof coating. In addition to great skills and an amazing work ethic, Eddy has enormous patience and will listen and make sure he understand just what you want. If one of my ideas was impractical, he explained to me why, and helped me decide a different way to get what I wanted. He and his family members work as a crew, and they communicate very easily among themselves. They are polite and professional, and they really clean up at the end of a job. They come when they say they will and do what they promise to do. They bought high quality materials for the porch. I will be booking them again when the time comes to paint the interior of my house in the next few months.- Julia B.

DIt took them forever to get started on my project. When they finally began, the posts were in my yard for over a week. Then the frame (or whatever it’s called) was up sitting untouched for a week. They finally came back and did the pickets. First day they worked about 1.5 hours and went home. When they came back and finished, the entire left side of my fence was done CROOKED!! & it is very noticeable. Everyone that has visited has made mention of it!!! I haven’t been able to use my walk-through gate since installed because the pickets are on the ground!! I was told TWO MONTHS ago that they will repair everything. As of today, there hasn’t been anything repaired and no one is answering my calls or replying to my texts. At first, it was “oh we had to order new pickets”, “oh my, the guys haven’t came by to repair that yet” or “I’m at work I’ll call back later when I’m off work”. Now there’s no reply to text or answering of the phone. I have been patient throughout this whole ordeal. However, this was all unacceptable. If you are looking for quality work, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!

AThe entire experience was good. Rob Carroll kept in touch about scheduling a visit to provide an estimate, and later, about when work could be performed. He gave his honest opinion about whether a few items on my list needed repair. The workmen were professional, friendly and again, kept me informed about the progress. When I asked about a loose lock on an exterior door, they offered to pick up a new lock set and install it for me. The bill came in under budget. Thoughtful and much appreciated service! I will contact them for help on any future home repair needs.

ACrews were professional and worked hard to install the radiant barrier during my remodel. I know this was money well spent cause it is now the middle of summer in the house. With temperatures running the upper 90's-100 and no insulation in the attic (Still in remodel stage, but drywall is up), the AC system can keep it a nice 72 inside without any problems and without running all the time.

AWe live in an older home, built in the 1940s, in which a second floor was added in the 1980s. We knew when we moved in three years ago that the piers and beams were not sufficient and would need work. I was very particular about hiring a contractor for this job because I wanted the job done correctly, thoroughly, and with attention to detail. I received bids from five different contractors, and joined them in the crawlspace during the inspections. American Structure performed the most thorough inspection of any of the contractors, and also did the best job of explaining their assessment and discussing different options for repair. The bid included a range of repair options to tailor a range of budgets, depending on how much we wanted to invest in the project. The American Structure bid was generally competitive in price with their competitors, but was more thorough and detailed. We opted initially for a more basic repair. The crew was prompt, friendly, very professional. They left the site cleaner than they found it. They even did some additional work not mentioned in the bid, such as shoring up and repairing a few existing piers, without additional cost. We were so pleased with the work by American Structure that we hired them to add additional piers and beams, a 10-mil vapor barrier, and a second crawlspace entrance. All together, American Structure added 19 piers, 60 feet of beams, a full 10-mil vapor barrier and a second crawlspace entrance. Now our floors are rock-solid and our crawlspace is nearly as clean and pretty as a room in the house. We’ve had a great experience with American Structure and highly recommend them.
