AWhitehead ConstructionI've dealt with multiple contractors through home ownership and never had such a great experience before. David and Josh Whitehead provided a fantastic experience from start to finish. From estimates and outlining the body of work to the final completion of the entire project. Replacing all siding, trim and accent, gable vents, gutters, two doors entirely down to the framing, weather stripping, painting all exterior doors including new, trim work on the interior for new doors, new mailbox post and mailbox, new house numbers, removing satellite dishes, sanding and painting chimney caps, breaker boxes, and energy meter. Painted exterior window framing that could not be trim capped. Literally the entirety of the exterior of the house is completely new or renovated at this point. On top of a couple small things on the interior. They not only did everything agreed upon in the work order/signed agreement, but continued to go above and beyond in every aspect of their work. Everything we detailed and outlined, and then some. I truly cannot express how great the experience with them was from start to finish, and I will be using them again for all things I need in the future. Pictures are included with numbers of the address blurred out.- Tim B.

AWilson's Home Improvement CoWe got an estimate around the first of February and scheduled the work to be done when we returned from a cruise, which just happened to coincide with when the coronavirus was blowing up. We notified Wilson's that we were home but the work could wait until their employees could feel safe to work. They came the next week and began installing the siding and windows at the same time. We could not have asked for more attentive or efficient work on our home as they finished it within about a week. We had problems with rain in the forecast, so that delayed the window installation for a day or two, but the siding crew worked every day, coming early and staying late to get finished. They only had to leave early one day due to rain, and the rest of the time, they worked like trojans. We were extremely impressed by the level of service provided, which included supervisors and inspectors coming by to check on the work progress. This is part of their normal service, which really helps customers feel confident that "they haven't been forgotten after the job starts". If we had questions, we were provided answers quickly. We are more than pleased with our new siding and windows and would definitely recommend Wilson's to anyone contemplating making these improvements on their home.- Anita R.

ADanny the HandymanDanny hung a storm door and will return later because he found a problem with water damage elsewhere, which he immediately notified me about and offered knowledgeable suggestions for repairs. He also repaired a sagging support above a garage door and repaired cracks in bricks.- Scharmel R.

DGrable ConstructionPoorly Complained before driving the first nail and charged more than agreed to, bad attitude Raised price 3 times Rushed job and didn't consult with me for very important details that ended up causing problems Lack of quality in their work on some very important details like house wrap and roof underlayment where it was always just a race to the finish line and not treated as an important step in the process Pushy about getting paid before finishing the job Would not recommend- Matthew H.

BYour Neighborhood ContractorI really think he is a sincere, friendly person and hard working considering the circumstances in dealing with a project he hadn't done before. I think his intentions are good and wants to provide quality work, he just needs to be a bit more efficient and responsive. I would consider hiring again for a project that wasn't time sensitive because he does have the desire for pride of work and didn't just take my money and run like a lot of contractors do now a days - maybe if I provided funds for supplies (with proof of receipts) upfront it would have helped him as a newer business owner getting started.- Dana M.

ALewis & Company ConstructionGreat experience with Lewis & Company Construction! Such a relief to find a company that was fairly priced, timely, honest, and strong communication throughout the job completion. lWhen looking for a contractor you need someone who is going to spend the time to write up a detailed estimate and be knowledgeable about what will be involved in the remodel and/or repair. Go to Lewis & Company who will get the job done the right way, the first time, and in the time promised! To respect the time it takes to provide a proper estimate, Lewis & Company requires a small service charge for a formal estimate. To me, it was well-worth the charge as it showed me they were committed to providing me with an accurate estimate and it gave me an idea of how thorough James and his crew would be in completion of the job. James also did a detailed walk-through of the work I was interested in completing and gave me useful, honest, and practical advice regarding my budget constraints. James and Lewis completed about $15K of home repairs/upgrades in preparation for putting my parent's home on the market. All my interactions with both James and his employees were great and I felt comfortable with them in my home. There was always good communication with me regarding when they would be coming. There was about a 3 week wait for the initial meeting, 1 month for the detailed estimate, and about 2 months for the work to start- but this was told to me upfront (and I was willing to wait for this company) and I was always kept in the loop if there was going to be a delay. Once the job started, it was completed on fast and on schedule. I was super happy with the work they provided and so relieved to have found a company I could trust in home remodels or builds.- rebecca c.

AWilson's Home Improvement CoWe had a leaking patio door, and wilsons suggested an more efficient replacement door. They had several options to choose from, and their salesman was very knowledgable about what would work best for our house. We also needed a second door for a crawlspace entry, and Wilson's had that too. Both doors had to be ordered and came in after abut 10 days. Wilsons then called to set up a good time to install the doors. The installation crew was very experienced, and did a good job. Once the old door was removed, their installers took the extra time to make sure the leaking areas were sealed and properly insulated. They also went upstairs and installed caulk around a window frame to ensure no more water would be getting into the house. After the installation was completed, Wilson's has a quality inspection performed by one of their area managers. We were able to review the whole job with Wilson's after a couple of days. The quality inspector installed another bead of caulk that he felt should be added to the crawl space door to prevent water ingression. After we made our final payment, we received a thank-you packet in the mail, with all the warranty documents. I was impressed with Wilson's desire to make sure the install was done right and we were satisfied. I would definately recommend Wilson's.- Lucas K.

AWilson's Home Improvement CoVery well. Everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous and easy to work with. The crews showed up as scheduled, worked quickly and thoroughly, and cleaned up well when they were through. One of the inspectors spotted and corrected imperfections that I probably would not have noticed, like a couple of small nail heads that didn't match the color of the siding, which he touched up with some matching paint. The cost was a little higher than I had hoped for, but if making the decision again, I would definitely go with Wilson's. We are very pleased with the installation and quality of the gutters, doors, windows.- Jerome B.

AWilson's Home Improvement CoJill met with Don, a salesman for Wilson's, to get an estimate for replacing windows at our rental property. She stated that Don was prompt, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Wilson's representative triple-checked his measurements to make sure they were accurate. Isaac and his team put in all of the windows and the storm door. It was quite a task, as the windows were oddly shaped and required them to make a visit to Home Depot to get framing materials. The guys spent the whole day working on installing the windows and the storm door. You would think that this task would be problematic, but Jill was amazed that they were so professional and courteous and that they seemed to enjoy their job. Wilson's stood fast to their estimate, as there were no surprise costs. I cannot imagine hiring anyone other than Wilson's in the future. Thank you, Angie's list for providing a way for consumers to find such great providers. .- jan m.
