    Northwest Arkansas Neurosurgery
I have a horrible back, I injured my spine and knocked out 4 discs during a fall and I also have spinal stenosis which is a crippling spine disease. I spend alot of time in pain. One day I woke up and could not stand up straight and I lost use of my right leg, along with a ton of nerve pain in my legs and hip. I ended up in the hospital and after 3 days and an MRI and x-rays, I met Dr. Luke Knox. He is so great. He made me laugh and completely explained my situation. He never stayed standing or acted rushed. He pulled up a chair, sat down and talked to me like an adult, not like a little kid or another patient. He talked to me in english (not all scientific words). He took his time, and I got to ask a ton of questions which he was very able to answer. He is a very experienced neurosurgeon, a wonderful person and the nicest man I have ever met. He told me that I may be able to get through it without surgery and I was so thankful, the last thing I want is surgery, however he explained that If after medication for 2 weeks if I wasn't better than I was in good hands for surgery and he would make sure I was ran through the procedure in detail before hand. He put me on steroids, muscle relaxers, a long acting pain medicine (oxycontin) and a short acting pain medicine for break through pain, (oxycodone). Unfortunately I was not better and surgery will be scheduled soon but I am not worried at all everyone else I have asked about him has all good things to say.

    Blankenship, Dr. James B.
I called his PAC she said If I would not do therapy and would not let him put shots in my spine I could not  get the surgery. I told her the Oxycodone made me sick she said she could perscribe Morphine I am Allergic to it. She could Perscribe Tylenol 3 with Codeine I am allergic. Everything on my Allergy list was what she wanted to perscribe. Made her mad She said I had to take the Oxycodone for 2 weeks to make sure I was really allergic to it. When I said NO I would not take something that caused my Ulcer to flare up or caused me to have migraines orMade me sick She told me to live with the Pain.
