Pet Care & Health reviews in Little Rock

We chose Allpets because it"s the closest vet and received good reviews of Dr Paladino whom we did not see. We were escorted into a room and shortly a young assistant came in. He didn"t spend time petting/bonding with my dog or getting information. Instead he stated he was taking my dog to the back to "weigh" him. I waited several minutes expecting the vet to come in, introduce himself as we are new patients and new to the area, conduct a review of systems and medical history of my dog. Instead the assistant brought my dog back stating "he didn"t like being restrained. He peed, he pooed. The doctor will come in to talk to you." I have a 4 year old trained chow show dog. Chows are very clean and soil only when they are sick/old. My dog must've been terrified with how they "restrained" him. When the vet came in I told him my dogs have always been examined in my presence. He said due to "liability " they no longer do that. I can appreciate that, however it was his responsibility to inform me of what he was planning to do to care for my dog. My dog had been given 3 year rabies and 3 year parvo vaccines in the past and I assumed he would be given the same since they are available. I found out from the receptionist when I checked out that he had been given a 3 year rabies but only a 1 year parvo (while he was being "weighed"). She stated "we only give the I year parvo so that you have to come back next year". We dog owners need annual heartworm tests and preventative as well as any other pertinent labs for our dog's age/health status. The lack of communication between a veterinarian and a pet owner shows disrespect, does not foster trust and is downright dangerous. The 1 star is for cleanliness of the facility.

Additional services were required to obtain the clipping. Some of these services were questionable and not in the best interest/health of the cat. I spoke with a veterinary technician who did not appear to be educated on appropriate animal care and seemed to be upselling. For more than 20 years I was a client at TCAH. Dr. Ormsbee and Dr. Kaga provided pet and pet parent centered care, always putting the best interest of the animal first. I am wholeheartedly disappointed that the new owner, Dr. Jerry Bridges, and his staff seem to be placing profits first and the best interest of the animal last. If you had been a client of Dr. Ormsbee or Dr. Kaga I strongly recommend you find a different veterinary clinic instead of Town and Country

Just as important to me, though, is the extra mile Dr. Joan and the vets will go for their customers. There are SO many examples I could share but I'll just give two: 1.) one time the city picked up our young dog, Pumpkin, who had for the first time gotten out of our fence. When we went to get her at the pound, she was dead in her pen. We were devastated and wanted to know what had happened. No one could tell us and they wouldn't let us take Pumpkin with us. Joan very kindly offered to make some calls to help us find answers to our questions. For that alone, I will never forget her kindness. 2.) About a year ago, one of the semi-feral cats my husband was feeding showed up badly injured. After much treatment, we brought Newman home. Unfortunately, before long, he was back in the hospital and things didn't look good for him. Because she was afraid he wasn't going to make it, Joan took Newman home with her one night because she didn't want him to die alone. That kind of compassion and heart can't be bought for any amount of money. That compassion and heart (in addition to the excellent medical service) is why the customers of Hillcrest Animal Hospital continue to take their pets to Dr. Joan and Dr. Larry Nafe and the other vets in the clinic. If I could give them an A++, I would!

I have Pooh Bear; he's my little Pomeranian. It was $12 a day. You can't beat that price. They're really good with the dogs. They always send me reminders when Pooh Bear needs his medication, shots or whatever. Their professionalism is fantastic. Pooh Bear's going there for Christmas. They're very, very professional, very helpful. they really, really love animals, they have about three or four walking freely around the office.

They were amazing! I'd recommend them to everyone. Helped figure out breed, what needed done, helped with training tips, followed up after appointment. Excellent! Much better than other places I've been.

Just got a call from the owner. (Note, only after I left a message stating I was going to place this review, not after I pleaded with her to please return my call) She apparently has been in "crisis " (only until I stated that I was going to do this review) and couldn't return my call. She then went on to curse me etc because she has received a bad diagnosis. While I sympathize with her as my mom received the same diagnosis years ago, the reason I am still going to post this is simple. She CHOSE to return my call only when she felt threatened. If she had taken 1 minute to call me back and explain she was going through some personal stuff and could not help me, I could have had time to find other arrangements. She CHOSE not to. My Mom would have never ever done this. She chose to call me and throw all her personal stuff in my face and took her anger about her personal situation out on me. I hate that she is going through this, but what she did is wrong. I am sure if her business goes down it will not be her fault, either.  Real business professionals keep their personal lives separate from their professional lives.
It is evident by their response that they are not truthful. Their response states I did not receive a callback and then in the same response states she did call me back. She was hateful and never mentioned anything about another company which I used over a year ago and were paid in full. Just trying to back-pedal after the horrendous phone call. She also sent me a nasty e mail telling ME to grow up. I just wanted someone reliable who is not a liar and can possibly leave their personal life at home and conduct themselves in a professional manner watch my dogs. They obviously are not the ones. Hope they have a large client base..

I have been using them for 2 years now. They are great! The doctor keeps me abreast and is very knowledgeable. They take time to explain what the procedures are and it is easy to make an appointment, and just all of those general things that I would expect a company to provide and they do an excellent job about it. Their prices are very reasonable. They are my best of choice and I'm not looking to change.

I'm so grateful I found SRVC!They are absolutely wonderful to my dogs and me! Extremely knowledgable, caring and professional. They always seem to be able to fit us in when the need arises. Although on short notice I usually leave my dog there for a few hours if need be. Couldn't be more pleased with everything from the very kind and helpful don't desk staff to Dr. Barron and Dr. Smith. I haven't met the new vet yet but feel confident he won't disappoint.

They work with us well overall, we really wanted dental care for our cat but we could not get it due to other health issues but after following the parts of their advice that were actually workable for us given our finicky cat, things are quite a bit better at this point. They need to get their online scheduling operations more functional though.

    Wags and Whiskers Little Rock
Where do I begin?? I don't know where I'd beor my two furry children, Bubba and Addy, if it wasn't for Michelle and all her folks at Wags and Whiskers! I marked the top ratings in all categoriesbecausewell.they're TOPS in ALL categories!
I've been using the various services of Wags and Whiskers for over 14 months, daily, in addition to the times I've had to be out of town, and I just can't think of anything that hasn't been superb with the services from Wags and Whiskers!! When I accepted a position here in Little Rock in 2013, along with looking for a home, I searched frantically for someone to help take care of my kiddos! My new supervisor suggested Michelle Wilkerson and Wags and Whiskers (Wand W)! What a true blessing!!! They come twice daily for visits, walks and feeding. If meds are needed, they take care of that. One day one of the walkers noticed my poor tomato plant needed waterso it was taken care of, too! If the floor gets messy from muddy paw prints after a romp or a walkno problemtaken care of! A little tummy upset on the flooragaintaken care of. They take care of my dogs and my home as though it was theirs.
The stress relief from knowing, that regardless of how long my work day is, my pets are well cared for during the day is worth way more than the cost of their services. And I didn't put a cost above, because it varies based on the service as well as frequency. But in my books - it is very reasonable considering the value I receive! Peace of mind! To quote the MasterCard commercialand quot;Pricelessand quot;!!
When I have to be out of town, I don't like the idea of boarding my dogs - they're both rescue dogs and our move half way across the country was tough on them - so I have Wand W come house/pet sit. This allows me to be able to focus on the reason for my trip and not fretting about my dogs or my home! My home is always as I left it or better after each trip!
Saving the most important for last Bubba and Addy (my two furry rescue children) absolutely love Michelle and her crew! It isn't unusual for me to get a text with a photo of my kiddos having a blast with them! Also, with a busy schedule it is sometimes difficult for me to get away to take them to the vetno problemMichelle takes care of that, too with the Pet Taxi service! A run along the river?? Michelle has that covered as well! And when Bubba needed that extra little help with navigating the new doggie doorMary, who was sitting with him that trip worked on that (something I'd been doing for weeks to no avail!) and was pleased to text me that Bubba had conquered that task!!! I often think of Mary when he goes in and out the doggie door now!
I have complete trust and confidence in Michelle and those she employs to take care of Bubba and Addy as well as I would myself! In some cases better!!! I haven't run since I got out of the Marine Corps! So if it wasn't for Michelle - Addy and her Jack Russell heritage would still have way too much energy some days!!!
If you want excellent service, reasonable price and some real animal-loving people to care for your furry children and reliable folks to look after your home when out of town - you need look no further than Wags and Whiskers Little Rock and Michelle Wilkerson!!!
