The repairman arrived on time, quickly tested and assessed the issue, and gave me several options for partial replacement to see if that would be sufficient, or complete replacement of all related parts (ice maker, water inlet valve and water line). The difference in cost including labor was minimal, so I opted to replace the entire system, which I thought was I found quite reasonable at $400 including tax. (I'd priced the parts in advance online from the manufacturer, and the part prices were comparable for name-brand parts. I like that the parts and labor were both warrantied for a year. The repair was completed within 2 hours from arrival, and I'm pleased to report that the new ice maker has been performing well with no issues for several weeks now.

He was accurate in his diagnosis which was a failed compressor. The refrigerator was only 2 years old. To buy and replace the compressor would coast around $900-$1000. Could not see repairing this refrigerator with this like compressor which is called a linear compressor. They are made by LG and they have a known history of being junk. Many many customers have encountered the same problem. Chose to replace the refrigerator with a new one that did not use the Linear Compressors.

    HARPER'S SERVICE INC
My washer is not spinning and I called Harper's upon referral from a friend. I let him know the washer and dryer was stacked and he told me he would have to charge for two technicians. I told him that was fine (and it was) but when the technicians arrived (although nice and professional) they did not perform two technician's worth of work. They did not stay in the house more than 30 mins and they did not remove the dryer to troubleshoot the washer. The technician said the pump and the boot needed to be replaced to "check it further." So I paid $196.43 for 30 minutes only to be given an unsure diagnosis of parts/labor of another $383.62 to further check it. For a tune of $200 I expect a company to do a complete job of troubleshooting before throwing out parts that "might" fix the problem. I called Harper's to let them know I was not satisfied with the call and the guy that answered the phone said they were both his sons-in-law and he stood by them. OK.

    Get-ER-Done Handyman Services
Outstanding! Eddie and his crew were punctual and professional. The work was done in short order and was quality workmanship. Eddie also provided me with estimates for some remodeling work I want to have done and there is no other contractor I will use. Excellent and I will recommend him to everyone I know.

When I called to make the appointment they said it'd be 6 days till they could get to me. On the day of the appointment, he called and said his GPS said he was 30-45 minutes away, but didn't show up for 1 hour and 20 minutes. He didn't have the login for his iPad-like tablet and had to call someone. Then he clicked around on his iPad and told me I needed a new burner and the total would be almost $400 and he could come back in 8 days to work on it. He never even opened the appliance to diagnose it. That weekend I decided to open it up and see if I could figure it out. It turned out it needed a new moisture sensor, so I ordered it, installed it and everything is fine. If I'd waiting for them to come back, it would have been 14 days since I made the first appointment, and he would have put in a part that wasn't broken. When I called to cancel the second appointment, I told them the whole story and they still charged me the service fee for him to be 40 minutes late, not have a login for his iPad, not open up the dryer and diagnose it, and tell me I had to wait 8 days for him to come back with a part that didn't need replacing.

    AAA HOME CENTER
The most horrible place to purchase anything. Appliances are damaged and constantly problematic. The furniture is cheap quality. They take advantage of the uneducated and marginalized in the local community. The owner, Cory, does not hear what you are saying and dismisses her clientele as though they are irrelevant or unimportant even when the client has valid concerns...instead of correcting errors made on the part of AAA, she cuts you off in conversation while making attempts to demean and invalidate the experience of the client. You spend costly amounts on repairs of their appliances and still have problems with the appliance that they are unwilling or unable to address or correct without costly fees and those repairs are NEVER fully corrected. Case in point: I had a Kenmore fridge that was purchased from Sears in 2003, never had it serviced, and it finally had to be replaced in 2017. I then purchased a Kitchen Aid fridge from AAA and have had CONSTANT issues that AAA claims they are repairing and the issue NEVER goes away. The freezer keeps having problems to the point I had to replace the rubber gasket at the end of December 2019, called about it twice in 2020 (the freezer was still having problems), spoke with the owner today who says I have to pay for them to come fix the brand new gasket that has come loose and hanging under the freezer drawer. Even though I have called twice about this issue in 2020 (once in February 2020, again in April 2020, and today) the owner says she will not honor the warranty. Really? I called within the warranty time in Feb 2020 and was told to just continue using a little more force to close the freezer drawer as the gasket needs to get “adjusted” to its new location (whatever that means). My experience with this company has been horrendous as it relates to their appliances and the cavalier attitude of the owner lets me know this is in not a reputable business. They are heartless and have zero compassion when they are the ones who are touting a product (the brand new gasket) that has failed. Unwilling to take any ownership for the failure of their product and unwilling to correct the failure of the product without passing the cost along to a client that, if they were truly thinking clearly, has the potential to spend thousands of dollars more with them in the future than the amount of money it would take to come out and replace their cheap gasket. Instead, they have shown that they don’t care about the potential loss of future business and instead care about getting paid for failings on their part. Absolutely sad and atrocious. SHOPPER BEWARE...DO NOT SHOP/PURCHASE at AAA

Ronnie was great. He's seen this before. The guts of the thing are behind a techie door in the back of the main cabinet. It was all frozen up, with water accumulating under the vegetable bins and forming a sheet of ice there. He replaced the door with a new one after steaming the innerds clean. He also replaced the seal on the freezer drawer to prevent excessive frost buildup. Both repairs seem to have worked. It was expensive, but if we get a couple of years more out of this unit it will have been worth it. I'm not a cost/benefits guy but it seems to be taking. Buying a new one was going to be probably $2K.
