    First Care
Dr. Hurst and staff are the best in Jonesboro. I have used them for over 20 years and will not use anyone but him. In the past, with other illnesses that are not a common illness, he has staff call to check on a patient to see how they are doing and to make sure that there is improvement or if a problem or concern has risen, it can be taken care of.

Got to appointment a few minutes ahead of time. Downstairs they check you in, and tell you what floor to go to depending on what your appointment is for that day. Very well run organization. There is never anyone waiting downstair to check in normally. Once up to the second floor the waiting room was fairly full, there are a number of doctors on staff, and many patient tests are ran from this floor. We waitied MAYBE 5 minutes after appointment, and were called in, Nurse weighed hubby , and took blood pressure, etc, and we waited additional 5 minutes or so, between nurse and doctor coming into the room. Dr Gilliam is a very personable man. Joked around a little, and was very forthright in his reading of hubby's implanted device. told us what the testing machine was doing as it completed it's task....as it also "charges" to test the device. The patient can "feel" something as this happens, so it is nice the doctor explains what is going to happen just before it happens, to comfort the patient into realizing there was nothing wrong, that it was a part of the test. He shook hands with patient and myself when he said his goodbye as well, which was nice. The office staff handles all insurance billing, and mails only a bill later, after they have recieved insurance payments related to the bill. This is really nice, not getting a statement saying --THIS IS NOT A BILL---. We always worry about those types of statements...so it is VERY nice NOT to get them thru this office.

    Vein Specialists of Arkansas
After receiving approval from the insurance company, we set up two appointments (one for each leg) for the doctor to work on the two veins that were bothering me. The doctor preformed SCLEROTHERAPY to remove the problem veins. The procedures went very well. The doctor was very attuned to my level of pain and if something started hurting -- then he numbed it up again. I had to wear compression stocking for a few days after each appointment and about 3 weeks after the last treatment I returned to the office for another check. Everything had gone well and the pain caused by the varicose veins has almost completely disappeared (I did have a little bruising each time). I would definitely use this doctor again if I needed it.

    Cranfield, Dr. General
He thinks he is real stiff hard nose person, but he is not, he has little problem, a tumor.  He is just a nice guy and seems to care.  I have been using him for 6-8 months.  I think he practices internal medicine. I don’t know if the treatment is effective, but at least he gave me a corazon shot for the shoulder when Dr. Ball dismissed me and I continued to have trouble.  He said if that doesn’t work in two weeks he is going to send me to another orthopedic person.

This man is  caring. He wants to be sure he did a good job. He provides a lot of comfort and will go to great extents to make sure know are fully aware of the situation.  Four years after the surgery I feel great. I felt so good right after the surgery, I through my prescription away.

    Hasik, Dr. Karl J.
He is caring. He takes his time and walks us through what he is doing. He lets us ask as many questions as we need. He is an excellent doctor.

I was greeted promptly when I arrived and was taken back almost immediately. The entire staff was very professional and couteous. I did have to wait for the Dr. to come in for several minutes, but when I did see him, the focus was on my issues and concerns and not on getting to his next patient.

    Haughey, Dr. Michael A.
He is real good. He does a good job. I got an appointment to go see him later this month. He comes down to Paragould once every four to five weeks so I don't have to drive to Jonesboro and that is wonderful. He is very gentle and I don't have to wait a terribly long time when I have an appointment and he takes you pretty closely to your appointment time. It is not totally on time and it depends on how things are because they might have certain emergencies. He is good and I am truly happy with him and I am not about to abandon him. I usually make an appointment and get there but I have never called him just like that for an appointment. He has never canceled an appointment with me though he has to drive about 20 miles to get here. He comes to a physical therapy center to treat people in the area. I would recommend him because I think he knows what he is talking about. He has a very nice manner and he is gentle. The nurses are fine and very nice. They follow instructions and they are trained well. I can communicate with him and he communicates back. I can trust what he is saying and he's not selling me anything. I have no problem with him and the billing was covered by my insurance. They do a good job and they don't bug me.

    Hasik, Dr. Karl J.
Very sad that Dr. Hasik has moved from our area. I have seen him for several years. He is great at listening, asks good questions and never interrupts. He also talks with his patients in his private office prior to going to the exam room to change into a gown. Also talks in his office after the exam in done and patients are dressed. This makes it easier to talk openly (since you have your clothes on!). Would never hesitate to see him if it were possible.
