Get it in writing. Get it in writing. Get it in writing. They did quality work and completed the job quickly but didn't complete key elements as promised (shower tile surround and vanity install). His response was "I guess I didn't hear you" when asked about these things. He also "forgot" to include several very costly elements in the original estimate (shower door install and plumber, even though these should have been obvious) which made the final cost almost 25% higher than estimated originally. I only wish I would have gotten everything in writing so I would have had something to work with when he said he didn't hear those things and made omissions that were very costly to our project. Pleased with quality, but feel like we were overcharged with no recourse.

Was looking for a tile installer to retile a 3' x 4' shower. Sent an email inquiry with the details via Angie's list and then followed up with a call, which went to the answering machine. Left my name and contact information and a brief description of the scope of work, but never received a call back. Is the business still open? Have already moved on with another installer.

We had Mike do our siding last year and it went pretty well. WE really liked Mike and felt we could trust him when we decided to do an office remodel and a kitchen project. I am sorry to say, it didn't go as well this time.  Communication and timing are everything and it just wasn't there for the interior jobs.  Our office was bid for 6-8 DAYS and it took 4 weeks. The painter seemed to be the hold up.  There were supposedly issues with the ceiling drying but a fan was never put on it.  One day the painter didn't show up or call until late in the day to inform me he wasn't coming.  I had waited all day.  Needless to say, I was very frustrated about the timing and miscommunication.

The kitchen project was mass confusion.  We started one day late so that the cabinet could be picked up and painted before being installed.  On the start date, the carpenter told me he had been given the wrong size and would have to pick it up the next day.  They began demolition and Mike sent the painters out to begin painting in the middle of demo.  They refused to paint that day and helped do demo.  The next day the UNPAINTED cabinet was picked up and installed. I didn't see the carpenter again for 2 days.  The painters once again did carpenter work and did do a good job.  The tile man installed the tile one day and came the next to grout but the painters came as well and the tile guy had to work over and under them.  Then they all left before any job was finished.  I found broken tile in the backsplash and called the tile man but he has yet to return my call.  The list goes on and on but I think my biggest complaints are the lack of communication from Mike with his crew and with me and the fact that every complaint I had was turned back on me.  It was like arguing with a school child with "He said she said".  the work in the kitchen looked great until I started examining and I have found puddled paint, broken tile and other things that really bother me for the price.  I would not use this company again nor would I recommend them. I would however recommend the carpenter.  He was very skilled and aimed to please.

Always on time and professional. Goes out of his way to accomplish the job. Knows the local area and can usually get building supplies from local folks cheaper than high retail businesses at retail prices.. Cleans up afterwards and the work is excellent. Always done faster than planned.

I would recommend Pat as a contractor; if I needed him he was here. The price was good because he broke everything down for me. I will use him again in the future.
