It cost a lot more than I wanted it to. They do a really great job. They built custom cabinets, which is one of their forte’s that they are really good at. We went to the stone place and picked out the granite countertops we wanted and the sinks and everything. They just really do a custom job. They’re awesome.

The job was performed meticulously and professionally.  He and his crew were very detailed and clean.
I've used several painters before, but none came close to the quality of work provided by Mark and his crew.

    Household Solutions

Job was begun 7-13-15. The contractor was Household Solutions,755 Bryant Road, Hot Springs, AR 501-617-2050  The contractor's employees provided the carpentry work.  They tore out tile and sheetrock in two bathrooms and redid the walls with beadboard. They also refaced the kitchen cabinets with beadboard. They hauled off debris  The carpenters got the job done but seemed to be more construction carpenters rather than finish carpenters.

The painting was done by a Subcontrator, Service Painting, 501-802-0179 and included the ceilings, walls and trim (including the doors).  The painting was excellent and I would use this company again.

The work was completed within the specified contractual time frame and the men worked everyday once the job started.  All the workmen were helpful when asked to do or correct something.  However, I would suggest that if you use this company, you need to monitor the work as it is done.  We had a list of things we wanted done and some of the items were forgotten and they had to come back in and do them. Fortunately, the men were still here when everything was caught.  Also, protect your furniture.  The painter again, was excellent in covering both furniture and flooring but the carpenters used the furniture as benches (with no covering). And lastly, the Contractor needs more hands on interface with his crews. He knew things that did not get relayed to his employees.  In fact, when the job was finished, he sent an employee to pick up the final payment, and didn't check the final job results and  proper cleanup  himself.

Update- We had to put in more than a dozen screws he left out when rehanging the cabinet doors. And he did not replace all of the molding.

Went well, although every time I got a call, there was more bad news.  The wall had been leaking because a deck had not been installed properly.  There was no flashing, so all rain water was running inside the wall for years causing rotting and mold.  They took off upper deck boards and removed siding and framing to reveal the problem.  They built a temporary wall, as there was nothing holding the wall up, since the joists were rotted. The windows had to be removed, since everything was rotted.  All was replaced and the windows put back, as well as the siding and deck boards.  Wallboard was replaced inside the room and textured and painted and repairs made to the ceiling.
This was all happening after I had just had the whole downstairs painted. =(
Art Frewalt and his crew were very nice and worked to get the job done as quickly as possible.
I will definitely call on them again.

Came out and gave me an estimate of charges that covered best and worst case scenarios for repair. I accepted estimate and in about a week the repair man called and made appointment to make the repair. He did a great job, put down plastic to avoid a mess and was in and out rather quickly. I was very pleased with the outcome and would definitely recommend this company.

Mostly went fine.  There were some times that I needed to prompt workers to redo some work, but the work done was good.  They couldn't find the faucet in the back and were cleaning their equipment in my newly installed bathtub in a renovated bathroom and scratched it in the process (very minor scratch), but had not asked about the faucet.  I had a leak that went into the carpet and the plumber who came to assess the problem had to cut a hole in a wall that had just been painted, but they painters came back and fixed it with no trace that it had been cut.
I had to tell them not to stand on beds to reach the ceiling and to make sure and cover everything completely, but otherwise all was good.  They even moved beds up and downstairs for me for some tenants who were moving in in a couple of weeks. ( I tipped them for that).
They were prompt and did a good job.

Jim and his team of helpers--Allen in particular--recreated my kitchen, living, dining, and laundry areas.  Their first project was installing two high line toilets in the bath areas.  With Jim's guidance, the decision was made to take down the two kitchen cabinets and wall that blocked the view to the living, dining and deck areas.  Jim suggested the door from the dining area to the guest room be closed in so we could move the refrigerator to that area and build storage cabinets in the previous refrigerator space.  It was decided that an appliance garage would be built about the counter to hide the coffee pot, toaster, can opener and two large drawers would be built below the counter to hold dinner plates, cups, saucers, bowls and other kitchen items.  Instead of losing cabinet space, we added several square feet of beautiful new cabinets as well as a total of four drawers!  Pull out drawers were installed in each of the cabinet areas as well as under the sink making it very easy to access the trash can and cleaning products under the sink.

Jim and Allen worked diligently to frame out the kitchen bar so that the area would be level for the granite installation.  Electrical work was relocated so lights, electrical outlets and garbage disposal elements were included in the granite design. With the addition of the white Taj Mahal granite, this area is now a key focal point of the room and a beautiful design element.

Since wall space was limited in the living area, the coat closet opening was covered and the opening moved to the laundry room, thus providing much needed space for decorative accessories. Jim's experience in remodeling townhomes lead him to suggest that a vent be installed over the stove and place the microwave in the newly built cabinet.

Ceiling fans were wired in to the living room and master bedroom.  Fluorescent ceiling lighting was re-routed.  A rolling storage cart was created with the two cabinets that were removed from the kitchen and the property is ready for renters to enjoy the beauty both indoors and outdoors at this Segovia Lake property.  Jim will be returning to do a covering for the deck once this homeowner has saved up some more money.  Jim is a true professional who is honest, works hard, and gets the job done in a timely fashion with reasonable pricing.  My mother and I contracted with him in 2012 in her $25,000 remodeling job.  He has exceeded our expectations in both projects.  He has a keen grasp of costs of materials and labor and he willingly shares his knowledge with his customers.

It went well.   I was unsure of the tile and had not chosen it before arriving in town (this was a vacation townhouse).  This put Justin at a disadvantage timewise, as I had asked him to please finish before I had to go back home.  But all of his workers were courteous and very good at their jobs.  His tile expert, George took the accent pebbles off of the 4 inch netting and placed them individually, stepping back and checking his work...being very detailed and perfect.  He did an excellent job, as did all of Justin's subs.  Justin was very polite and responsive and even responded to me on the weekend while he was on the lake.
I appreciated everything they did and their cleanup afterward.  Justin was very conscious of trying to get the job done when I asked, even though I was the one who delayed the process with my tile decision.  In the end, it was finished a day later, which worked out fine.
    Great Job!!!  Thanks so much!!!

Jim immediately saw the problem (one I should have seen) and indicated that all I needed was a stop board to frame out the door opening. He showed up early the next morning installed the board. He wouldn't take any money for his time or the board and instead we agreed on my providing a favorable review on Angie's List since that's where I first discovered his business. This was service that far exceeded my expectations. So here's my favorable (hopefully adequately glowing) review.

The crew always showed up on time ready to work. They did very professional work. We had already hired them to put new granite counter tops in our kitchen, so knew we could depend on them to do a good job. Once the job was started, they worked every day until it was finished. We are so pleased with the finished product. It looks like a picture you would see in a decorator's magazine.
