Carpet Installation reviews in Hot Springs National Park

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I would give them a favorable review. What stood out to me about them was that they had lots of products to choose from and their products seemed to be quality products with their prices. We were looking at a little bit of everything there because we are doing a remodel project.

  • They've been in business for nearly 100 years.  Their prices are higher than others, but they have quality products, offer a wide array from which to choose, and guarantee their work.  Ultimately, we chose another company that had a lower price, however.
    - Larry F.
  • Everything went well.  They were very professional and quite knowledgeable, and they even let me return after store hours to bring back some samples that they had given me.  The only issue was that they didn't carry the kind of carpet that we wanted.  Specifically, they didn't have SmartStrand mohawk carpet.
    - Kathy W.
  • Terrible!!  The carpet layers did a terrible job laying the carpet and were very rude. They ran out of carpet and did not stretch it when they laid it.  We complained during the process but no one ever came out to check on it. They damaged many of our antiques during the process. They were mad they were having to move furniture which we had paid the store for them to do. When we finally went to the store and strongly encouraged the owner to come out he agreed with us so we had to do it all over again with the same carpet.  They were not able to stretch it all properly and it still is not right. The whole experience lasted about four weeks. It was just terrible!

  • Bob is a very personable man, but he influenced my husband to buy a type
of carpet that I wasn't crazy about and after it was installed, I saw
that it is the type that shows every footprint and looks very out of
date.  :(  He also saves money by piecing the carpet together which
leaves visible seams all over the place (which he said would become less
noticeable over time, but I don't like seeing them.)  Also, his
installers only had to move a few pieces of furniture and they asked for
$50 extra and they left a huge mess and black marks and finger prints
all over the doors.  Can't wait to eventually replace all this carpet
    with wood!

    Update 8/1/2013:

The seams are still very noticeable!  One year later, you can still very easily see all the seams everywhere.  UGH!

  • They were terrible and had to do it twice. They had some carpet layers who were not reliable and the store did not come out and check. When we finally got the store out here they realized it was wrong so they had to pull up the old carpet and do it all again. I was not pleased with them at all and they had been highly recommended to me. The carpet layers were terrible and did not move any furniture and did not feel like they needed to move any. We were not pleased at all; they ran out of carpet and had to re-order to nothing went right about it. Their price was high and I will not use them again in the future.

  • It was a terrible experience.  The carpet layers that they sent were very rude and inexperienced.  They did not stretch the carpet and made a mess of it.  It did not reach the edges in some places and was cut wrong where there was not enough.  It had to be relaid, and new carpet had to be ordered for the mistake of cutting it wrong.  It was a different dye lot.  The owners never did come out to the house after many calls of complaints until we actually went to the store and asked them to come.  They did and admitted it was a terrible job and had it redone.   But they never came back to check on the new job to see how it was going or if it was done right.  All in all it was a terrible experience and I would never reccommend them to anyone.  They did give us a tiny percent (less than 5% ) fpr our trouble, but they should have given us that anyway for quantity that we ordered and price we paid. (333 yards)

  • We scheduled Davis' Installations to give us a free estimate. They arrived exactly on time. Robbie inspected the carpet noting the visible problem areas and explained what he would do to correct them. He also explained what tools he would use -- a wall to wall stretcher -- not just a knee kicker. He measured the carpet in every room and Kristy took down the measurements. Robbie gave us an exact price and and estimate as to how long it would take. We approved the price and they started the work right away. They carefully moved the furniture as necessary and put everything back in the proper place with no dammage. They used long boards to protect our baseboard and walls from the force of the stretcher. They had all of the necessary tools and took every precaution. They were professional and courteous in every respect. I wish they had installed our carpet in the first place. I'm confident we would have had no problems with it. The carpet in every room is nice and tight -- all of the wrinkles and bulges are gone. Before they left they bagged up all of the pieces of carpet and padding etc. and left our home clean. They gave us a two year warranty on their work.
