Tony installs both Directv and Dish systems. Dish Network came out and were unable to put the dish anywhere but on the front of the house. Really?   Tony came out, climbed up on the roof (which the company service providers are not permitted to do) and hid the dish out of view. He was fast, efficient and knowledgeable and local. Very pleased!!!

    Springfield TV Repair
The next day, (Tuesday) I hadn't heard anything so I called in the morning (I admit I was jumping the gun a bit) and got an answering machine. This was at around 10 o'clock. I left a message saying I was anxious to hear the estimate and to please call me. By late afternoon I had not heard back so I called again and was told that they were having trouble reaching the manufacturer for a price on a part. That they had faxed the information but hadn't heard back (faxed?) I was told I would get a call just as soon as they heard something. I thought this was fishy (faxing for info - why not call or email?) But there are a lot of manufacturers so I didn't think too much about it. I hadn't heard back by Thursday so I called again, this time around 9 AM. Got the answering machine again. Left another message. And again, by late afternoon, I had not received a call back so I called again. Still told they had not been able to get in touch with the manufacturer and that I would be called as soon as they knew something. The following Monday morning I called again. This time about 9 AM. Got the answering machine. No call back. When I finally reached someone around noon, I was told still didn't have an estimate ready but that the smaller TV did not have replacement parts available and I said never mind. I was not going to pursue a repair and could I come and pick them up. And I also mentioned at that time how I had left several messages and never received calls back. The lady said, "Yeah, I haven't figured out how to retrieve messages yet. It's a new system." My wife picked them up and when she did, there was finally an estimate written, but it was vague: "Damage due to power surge - Estimate $472 - $550". There was not a specific problem listed (i.e., what component went out and exactly how much it would cost.) Essentially, I paid $105 to find out what I already knew ("Damage due to power surge") and then the estimate of repairs was only general in nature; not specifically stating the problem and the cost to repair that problem. I was also not contacted as promised and in order to find out anything about my service, I had to make repeated calls to the company. I should also mention that the company was based out of someone's house in a residential area. Not that this should be an indication of unprofessional-ism; there are many companies operated from a home. But in this case, I think it only added to the overall unprofessional treatment I received.
