I took the dresses to the business location, tried them each on for proper fitting. I told them when I needed them and they were ready as promised.

The person was fashionable, knowledgeable, and he just took care of everything. I never had any alterations done like that.

Very good job. price was very reasonable the first time I took in multiple pairs of pants but then I went in again to have a zipper put in one pair of pants and cleaning and it was 20 dollars!

The work was done very quickly, and the results were great! They were very pleasant people to work with, and made the measurement process for the alterations a simple experience. The price for the alterations was only $5.00 per shirt, and the patch was only $2.00.

They do a really nice job. They have actually done me a favor at least twice doing rush jobs for me, and they've met the deadline for both of them.

The services were all very reasonably priced and VERY quick (less than a week for all the items), but the attention to detail wasn't there. The decorative seams on the shoulders of one dress she took in didn't line up well, so I probably won't wear it without a jacket in the future. The same went for some of the more decorative waists on some of the dress pants.  I have had alterations places put pants back together before where you can't tell they were even taken in, but most of the pants I had her do it is easy to tell they were altered. I think expensive dress pants or higher-end dresses I will probably take elsewhere, but for jeans alterations and other lower-end clothing items, I would probably use her again. I reiterate: the prices were VERY reasonable.

    Lisa Sews 4 U
Well I thought it would be a good experience when I arrived at her house at my appointment March 8, 2014, and saw a large work room and really full of projects meaning that she was probably a well sought after seamstress. I 've had clothes made for me years ago when I lived in another state, and I wanted to find someone up here that I could get to sew for me since I don't  have that '35/25/35" figure anymore.. (LOL).  However, I wore a simple dress like the one I wanted her to make so that she could see the length measurement of the dress that I wore instead of the "Old Pattern" I had brought along for her to use as a reference for the simplicity of the dress that I wanted made.  I like my dress hems to fall below my knees because  I think they are not attractive. Oh. well.   She took my measurements for Jacket and Dress, and put them on a piece of paper that was pinned to my materials. Lisa told me that it would be around 2 weeks.or so. I thought that was fine because I had wanted to wear the outfit on Easter Sunday in April. She called the 1st week in April we agreed I'd pickup on April 4, because I was having Cluster Headaches and didn't feel well. On April 4, I was very busy and had a funeral to attend, and I just picked up the clothes which she gave to me in a plastic covered bag and no conversation about  any problem, so I  paid her and left with them still in a plastic bag and didn't  notice sewing flaw of the shoulders on the Jacket. I  picked up Clothes from the Cleaners, and got it mixed in with my others,  put them in the closet and It was the next week before I remembered that I hadn't tried my outfit on.   By the look of the Sleeves, This jacket came out looking as if "I" had made it, AND I DON"T SEW WELL,  The lining of the jacket was excellent, the collar and notches, the box pocket were laid on top of jacket and top stitched down (which is probably the way the pattern I had given to her as an example instructed) But, the sleeves were sewn in the jacket and were puckered and looked like a puppets arms. There was a sewing mishap and no one thought it was necessary to finish it.  The sleeves didn't meet together at the seam of the shoulders stitch  and they were just  hanging puckered underneath the shoulder with some gap thread openings on right sleeve. Yes, Yes, I know, I hear. (why didn't  you try on clothes when you were at  Lisa's Business) I should have known better, I'd never been to her before. I guess my eyes were so taken by the surrounding, I just thought it will be fine.... I sent them both to the cleaners thinking that perhaps it just needed Pressing, but it didn't change the look AT ALL. The Dress length turned out to be 391/2 inches not 421/2 like we measured, and it set right above my knees. I wore the Dress with another jacket that Easter with darker hose.      Anyway,  I was too shame to wear the Jacket  the way it looked, it was so puckered and uneven looking. So, after  about 1 1/2 weeks I think, I  took the Jacket  back to show Lisa Covert  what I was having a problem with and see it she would be willing to fix it. She was out that day with her daughter I was told by an older lady that was at the Business location. I then proceded to show the older woman who I had seen there before, and believed she worked with Lisa (I may be wrong), but after me showing her the problem, she practically told me I should expect that because after all the Fabric ( houndstooth) was too thick to lay "Flat".I wasn't expecting it to lay FLAT, just Sewned together well.   I knew it was May/June season and Lisa probably was busy with Bridal and such so I did give her more time, but 4 weeks went by and I hadn't heard from her. I called June 25th (wed) and I was told by Lisa that she had been on vacation, and it would be Friday before she would have my jacket ready. I waited a week to here from her and finally she did call July 2 (wed) and said it was ready. The problem still existed, it was as if, nothing had been done, and I didn't want to take the Jacket, so she told me if I would come back in 30 min. (I think it was) She would rework the sleeves.  REALLY! Lisa apparently was going to be gone by that time, and told me that someone would  still be there and I could pick up my Jacket. The older women  was  there and she gave me my Jacket, but Ironically she seemed bound and determined to tell me again that I should have been satisfied with what I got because, that  had been 'SUCH a Heavy MATERIAL". (a sleeve that showed the gathering stitch from under the shoulder connection, and a little finger could stick down into it, Oh My) Anyway, finally Lisa did a good recovery of the Jacket sleeves. I took the Jacket  but I got the distinct message that "MY Business was not wanted THERE!.... Sorry about that though. I am still looking.
