    Have been a customer of theirs since 1996. Installed my system and done multiple upgrades and repairs. Paid day of service full amount every time. My system developed a valve problem last October where one of the sections would not turn off and continued to spray about 6 inches. Called and asked for a response and was told that they would come. Several days later I turned the system off. Got a letter from them that I needed to pay a fee to turn my back flow valve off before winter. I paid the bill with a note that I needed the valve worked on before the system turned on in the spring. Very wet spring and have not needed sprinkler. Frankly, I had forgotten about the valve. Called them Friday 2 weeks ago (6/5) and asked that my back flow valve be put back in. (They normally replace it routinely in the spring and leave the system turned on so you know it is working). Was told Kevin would be by the next day to turn it on. Did not happen. Poured down rain all day Monday so didn't expect to see him. (Last major rain we have had). On Wednesday called back and said "we just had a rain and gave y'all sometime but let's get the system turned back on before I get desperate." Was told they would be out the next day. Next day call at 1 PM and get told that Kevin was at the doctor's office and would be there as soon as he got done there. At 4 PM call back and inquire and told that Kevin is in the office. I ask to speak to him and he tells me that "you are a valued customer and my business is important to him and I am a priority." Have not shown up yet. Have got the impression that this was a business started by a couple that ran well when run by them but has been passed down to a son who has no business sense or obligation. Cannot recommend. There are plenty of alternatives out there that are much more reliable.

    We agreed on three new zones and was told they would start in three weeks. They started on time and finished in two days. Mr. Poppy suggested a WIFI controller which was a great idea. Since the installation I have called with questions and he has either answered the phone, returned my call or stopped by my home.

    This is the 4th time I have had the good fortune to have Poppy's repair different stations with my sprinkler system. The system was put in prior to our purchase of the home so I knew very little about the placements of the individual stations. Each time Poppy's was extremely efficient and careful with the pre-existing lawn...in fact, it was truly difficult for me to even see where the digging was done. I would recommend Poppy's to anyone and in fact I have. I also will continue to use them in the future and am planning to ask them for an estimate on partial sod replacement in my front yard this fall. Thank you, Laura Mitchell

    My old controller went out on me, so I ordered a new one and tried to hook it up myself. I got stuck and had to call in the pros. They figured it out and repaired two valves in the yard. The valves were hard to find, as they had become buried over time, but they have a detector (and experience) so were able to find them.

    Very pleased.  Found leaks that were reducing pressure, and repaired them.  I was especially pleased with personal service and willingness to address my situation -- moving and needing to be away to look for a new house, and willing to do business over phone and via email, including contacting me with estimate before proceeding with work. I no longer live in AZ, but would definitely use them if I did, and would recommend them highly.

    It went great - Mike is very professional and pleasant and always helpful, answering any questions.  In spite of it being a difficult job - spinkler head was between roots, etc. he finished it much quicker than I imagined.  I have had other more difficult repairs, and have had the contract for sprinkler system service for more than two years, and have always been satisified with the work.  Every time they come I remember  the horrible service (not calling back, not coming, postponing the job, etc.) I had for so many years from other companies before I started with Ray Lusk, and wish I had switched sooner.  It is great to deal with such a professional company - they never fail to show up, on time, every time, and have even fit me in when I forgot to call for winterizing one time and a big freeze was expected.  I have really appreciated their work and so wanted to write them a good review - guess it wasn't necessary because they have so many "A" reviews, but they do deserve it!

    It started and ended great. They sent 2 people to do the job which facilitated it being done in a quicker fashion. The lead person was very knowledgable and went right to work on the problem. His assistant did what assistance do, stand around a bit and carry out less skilled tasks The price was high and a handyman said they would do the job a a lower price but I have confidence in the Lusk company and this team. As a bonus, the lead person told me how to do some very simple fixes myself and this saved money. So I am 100% pleased.

    I broke the 1/2 in copper pipe on my lawn sprinkler back flow valve that fed a separate faucet for a garden hose. I was trying to tighten it after replacing the washer and twisted it right off.  I tried to get SprinklerMan to come over to fix this, because they had originally installed the system. After 2 calls and one email, I had to give up on SprinklerMan and try a different plumber. I set the day and time and Zack Ryals of Ray Lusk Plumbing showed up on time. In fact, he called first to be sure I was there.  I had managed to make the problem worse as I tried to fix it myself, but Zack was able to work around my failed attempt and do the repair. He was courteous and pleasant.  I learned that he spent four years learning plumbing and passed a written exam as well as his classes to become a plumber.  Everyone at Ray Lusk is a trained plumber. While he was working, I picked his brain about problems with the plumbing at church. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about how to do those other proposed jobs, as well.
