AALL THE RIGHT MOVESAll the Right Moves did a great job! Even when my elderly mother started changing her mind about which pieces of furniture would go upstairs, and which would go downstairs, the movers never got impatient. Everything ended up just where it needed to be, and my mom was very pleased to be moved in. The move took two days and two trucks and 4 or 5 men.- Beth M.

AALL THE RIGHT MOVESTwo men arrived within a few minutes of the time we had agreed upon and for the next two hours they didn't slow down. Some boxes were already packed, but they packed loose items AND took away the items designated for charity donation. They were polite and professional. When my house sells they will come back, back and deliver the items to my new address. This portion of the move went so well I'm sure the rest of it will also be satisfactory.- Linda H.

AALL THE RIGHT MOVESThe quoted charge was $160/hr. that was fine but we were not told we would be charged driving time to and from the job. They were located an hour away so we got charged an extra $320 that we were not expecting. They showed up 20 minutes late. The work was performed in a reasonable amount of time. There were items we were not moving and were leaving for an estate sale. They could never remember what was what. I had to go pull a few things off the truck myself. Afterwards I found a few things that were supposed to have been moved. One of the workers mentioned getting a tip two different times. Not very professional. One guy was diabetic so we had to stop to eat before unloading. 4 guys showed up and we were pleased how rapidly things were wrapped and boxed. They brought their own boxes, wrapping paper and tape. Of course we were charged for them. Overall we were pleased. We were able to get a moving date within a week and nothing got broken. We would use them again but would ask about the extra charges for supplies and travel.- Benjamin C.

FInterstate Moving & StorageI am the victim of a bait–and–switch billing scam on the part of Interstate Moving that has overcharged my credit card $3,208.51. Here is the situation. I planned to sell my house in Virginia and move to Arkansas. The move would be done in stages. Stage One: First furniture move to storage. Stage Two: Second furniture move to storage. Stage Three: All furniture shipped to new home in Arkansas. I requested a TURNKEY estimate from Interstate that would include all three elements: The two pickups and the final shipment to Arkansas. Interstate gave me different estimates. After Stage One on April 9, 2019: $9,423.38 Two months later on June 19, 2019: $8,029.26 After Stage Two on January 20, 2020: $10,041.28, The only variable affecting total charges in the move was to be storage and storage insurance, since I had no idea how long the process would take. After each pickup we were given a sheet with inventory and weight, which we assumed were a subset of the turnkey estimate we requested from Interstate. Interstate charged my Chase card after pickups and for storage. At no time was I given a running total of charges or what my Chase card had been charged. That’s because Interstate was using these interim invoices to bill over and above the turnkey estimate I had requested. I simply assumed Interstate was a reputable company. That was a serious mistake. When the move was complete, I ran a search on the creditcard website to see the total charges, since Interstate still had not sent any type of accounting, which is in violation of the contract. It clearly says I’m required to be notified of the cost before delivery. After running the search on the Chase website, I was shocked by what I discovered. Interstate had charged me a total of $19,307.33! After I called and complained about the overcharges, I received two invoices from Interstate. Both invoices are filled with mistakes and overcharges. The invoice with the registration #4041556 has three months of storage, but four months of insurance charges. The insurance overcharge for the month my goods weren’t in storage should be reduced by $112.32. The other invoice registration #3911314 charges me for 18 days of storage in June, which is also incorrect. My delivery was on June 8th and my goods left the warehouse before that date. I’m also charged for 12 months of insurance when stage one goods were only in storage 11 months. That brings storage–related cost for both loads to a total of: $6,057.54 When we add the storage–related cost to the turnkey estimate cost the grand total is: $14,086.80. Yet Interstate charged me $19,307.33! According to the signed January 2020 estimate I was overcharged an incredible $3,208.51! IN SUMMARY: I requested a turnkey estimate from Interstate for a move with two pickups and one final delivery to Arkansas. Interstate led me to believe my estimate was turnkey and then added additional charges for the two pickups that should have been included in the original estimate. I received no estimates and invoices were presented in violation of the agreement without a chance for me to approve AFTER the work was done. No customer in his right mind would ask for a moving estimate that only included one–third of the project and then allow the moving company to charge whatever it wished for the other two–thirds. Interstate then overcharged me for both storage and insurance and it tacked on additional transportation charges not allowed by the agreement. In spite of my repeated calls on July 15th, July 17th and July 27th, along with additional email traffic, Interstate has refused to refund those charges. When the overcharges for length of storage and insurance are added to bait–and–switch move estimate, I was overcharged $3,208.51, which Interstate refuses to refund.- Michael S.

AD & D Moving CoThey were so helpful and understanding of my situation. Although they were quite busy, they squeezed me in anyway and not only carried out the heavy pieces I hired them to move, but they also helped me tremendously by loading the lighter weight items (suitcase, bags from Walmart, pictures, etc.) into the back of my van. (Since my Dad was 90, I'm not that young anymore either!) They went above and beyond my expectations, practically stopped what they were doing to help me, and were kind and considerate at the same time. Plus the cost was QUITE reasonable! I would DEFINITELY recommend them and use them again if necessary!- Diane H.

AThe MoversThey are a family operation and I just like them. They had an estimate that was locked in. They triple wrapped everything and labeled everything. They came in 3 or 4 days before and did an amazing job of packing. They did an outstanding job. They had two trucks but one of their clients was involved in an accident and tied that truck up. That truck was also being planned to be used in my move. They ended up having to rent a trailer for my move. They were able to overcome that problem. I was quite happy with them and will recommend them. They are very professional.- Tom S.

AAbout two weeks ago I moved interstate with the help of Moving APT and they made the whole process look easy. I have moved a few times before and have always been worried about what surprises can happen. I usually like to do business with someone I know but some of the movers that I have hired in the past just did not have the talent to pick up on my needs so I had to find someone new this time and put in the time doing research and reading reviews. I got fair quote from them and I did notice they were just a bit more organized and clinical about the logistics and knowing what was going on than some off the other company's I was calling. They knew everything about our building and the procedures that needed to be followed with building management. They were very proactive to complete the move with not one thing broken. I would recommend them to anyone needing one.

AAll the staff I spoke with were very professional and caring. Kimberly provided a quote, dealt with my changes along the way and was always kind and caring. The movers at both pick up site and delivery were professional and efficient. The process of communication regarding pick up and delivery was easy, the movers were on time and when they hit a traffic snag they went out of the way to let me know they would be a little late. I highly recommend this company and will use them again if I ever need to move a piano over distance.
