Door Installation reviews in Bentonville

    Northwest Arkansas Windows and Siding
Cons: There were delays as they kept running out of material and having to reorder more. Our doors were the wrong size, so when they came to install them they couldn't. We had two great big black boarded up holes in our house for a few days while we waited on new ones to come. It rained several times during this time and water came into the house due to no gutters on the house. When they left they didnt out our things where they were. Ladders were left at the house after for a week or two before they picked them up. Pros: throughout all the issues they remained in contact. They were never hard to find. They closed up our house well and were professional. Even though we had to order different doors, we love the new ones probably more than we would have and they arrived fast. Even with all the delays they worked well and managed to finish just in time for our party. I would want the measuring to be more accurate if i had to do it again, but they stuck to our agreed upon price/contract. And i would recommend them to anyone else looking for siding, windows and gutters. My horse looks so pretty!

Updates By Nate Handyman Service LLC
I emailed Nate with the list and he called me back very quickly. I explained what was expected because the house was vacant and we lived in another state. He gave me a very reasonable quote and scheduled to come and do the work and I sent him a more detailed list with pictures. On the day of the work he called to let me know he had arrived and had looked at the work to be done and was ready to go buy supplies. He checked to make sure there were no changes. He spent about 8 hours doing a list of about 21 things including digging out two posts and cementing two new ones on the backyard gate. He took pictures of his work and called me when he had questions. I highly recommend Nate for his professionalism and commitment to detail. The work done was great!

Lost Sheep of Israel Handyman Ministry
Very well. I dealt directly with Steven, the owner. He was always timely and always did what he said. If he said he would call on a certain date, he called even if he had not yet obtained the information discussed (there were others who failed to make return calls even though they assured me they would). I had been told that the door could not be repaired and must be replaced, which would have been quite costly. Steven stuck with me and came up with a creative and affordable repair solution. In addition, he was willing to stick by his estimate even though more work was required than he initially thought. I paid him the extra to ensure that he was fairly compensated, but he would have graciously accepted the estimate he had given. He was professional, nice and did a quality job. I would definitely use him again.

    Charles Wyles Contractors
Charles was great to work with! He arrived on time and was very professional. We discussed the work that needed to be done and he gave me a list of supplies he needed to complete the job. After that he went straight to work on removing the door / door jamb. He works very quickly and efficiently. After he finished the projects,  he cleaned up and we reviewed his work. I also like that he offered advice and recommendations on how to address other projects we have.

    Good Life Renovations
The results were excellent and the price was almost too good to be true!  I was preparing my home for listing and my walls badly needed a fresh coat of paint, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money.   I opted for a single coat of color matched paint cutting in with a brush only where necessary.
I am a very detail oriented person so believe me when I say Tom pays attention to the details.  He worked to ensure the color match was as close as possible.  All trim was taped, small repairs made, nail holes filled, etc.
Tom and his assistant moved furniture away from the walls and returned it to its precise location.  All the switch and outlet covers were removed for painting, and when he put them back even the slots in the screw heads were all aligned in the same direction.
His estimate was thorough, we walked from room to room together noting work that needed to be done.  After painting we again walked through all the rooms to ensure I was satisfied with the work.
All of the potential buyers rated the color and condition of the interior walls as excellent.

    Handyman Connection of NW Arkansas
The person who performed the work first visited the home and assessed the doorway to receive the door slab.  It was noted that the frame was not completely square and would require some shimming.  The door was already routed at the factory, but the door frame would need to be routed.  I purchased a template and would have used a router to do this myself, but agreed to let the installer do it instead.  My conditions in addition to those of the contractor included holding the contractor liable for any and all damages to the materials and area of work, and that work must be completed on the same day as begun.
The installer arrived within 30 minutes of the target time, and gave me a complimentary call ahead of time before he arrived.  He was professional and seemed to be knowledgeable about most aspects of home construction and carpentry.  He was friendly and easy to converse with.
We knew in advance that the doorway would require some adjustment to bring the frame into 90-degree angles and true vertical and horizontal interior surfaces.  However, the complexity and amount of labor seemed to be more than the installer could manage within the time he was on-site (between 10:30 a.m. and about 5:00 p.m.).  Although I was unhappy to reschedule my following day to allow for further work, it was unavoidable.  Also, the recesses for the door hinges were not created with a router, nor even by the more crude way of hand chiseling.  Instead, the installer used something like an electric hammer chiseler but left rough voids beyond the area of the hinge.  This will require filling, sanding and painting to hide the chewed-up appearance.
Door stops, the long strips of wood that are placed into the frame to prevent the door from swinging too far inward, were installed.  I had purchased these and made marks on them to indicate which ones should be facing this and that way.  I pointed out to the installer that I had one marked the opposite way by mistake, but he installed it in the wrong direction anyway.  This presented the rounded edge (trailing) toward the door instead of the leading, square edge.  With the mitering effected, I will have to not only remove the stop and flip it upside down, but also re-miter the edge to fit against the adjoining stop piece.  There were some other minor complaints also.  I note that the installer was able to remove the trim around the doorway without splitting it, although a split did occur in the top of the frame when a ball-stop receiver was installed without clean routing and pilot holes for the screws.
I received a customer satisfaction survey from Handyman Connection and indicated my dissatisfaction.  Soon after, I received a call from the owner, who was concerned about my notes.  He was genuinely trying to protect their business reputation and salvage my satisfaction.  He offered to send someone back to the home to see if they could improve the work, but I was not  willing to let them work on the doorway any further.
This review in no way complains about the character of either the installer or owner of Handyman Connection.  I truly believe the installer is a very likeable, respectable person with much experience in home construction, and would be glad to know him personally and welcome him as a guest.  I recommend him as a person of good moral character.  And, I am sure that I could have had much worse service by other contractors.  I will consider using Handyman Connection again, but there will be contractual penalties enforced for any terms violated.

Overhead Door Company of Springdale Inc
The installers were OUTSTANDING! They were in and out in a little over 2 hours. They were expert! They hauled off the old door and the old tracks and cleaned up all their mess (which wasn't much!)
Getting the front office to be responsive was quite a challenge! I had to call four different times to check on the install date and delivery of my door. Each time I was placed on hold for more than 7 minutes (without even music on hold!) but in each case I could not wait. I called the fifth time and asked for the manager. She profusely apologized as they were training a new customer service young lady and was extremely sorry this happened to us. We understand it's tough to train new people but at the least the new young lady should have come back to me after two minutes, taken my number and ask if they could call me back with the information.
Overall, they were very nice people with whom to work and we would hire them again.

Jared provided me with a firm quote on two different locks, then installed the selected lock on my office door.  He worked for two hours to get the install looking just the way he wanted it.  The lock is great and Jared was professional and did quality work.  I definitely recommend DoorWorx.  I rated the price as "Good" because the price I paid is pretty much retail, but labor was very reasonable and I could never have installed this thing myself.

    Handyman Matters of NWA
They did a great job and had expert craftsmanship with their woodworking.  I was very pleased with the service they provided.  The company had great integrity and were very trustworthy.  They were professional and on time.  Always cleaned up very well and left the job site looking great.  I would recommend them to anyone in the future.  I would give them an A+ for my overall experience with them.

    Eagle Construction
Contacted Eagle Construction to do various repairs around the house. They were able to get out and start on the projects fairly quickly. They removed some damaged door trim and drywall from the garage, put up new trim and patched the drywall then painted/textured everything to match what was already there. I had some missing trim around some bookshelves in my basement. They took a sample of the trim and were able to match it exactly. New trim was put up and stained/varnished to match existing trim. They even took the time to make sure the edges of the new trim were carved/molded to match the rest of the trim instead of just putting up a flat edge.
Finished work is beautiful, blending in with what was already in the house. Can't tell repairs were ever made.
Very friendly crew, worked quickly and efficiently, completing the job in the time they had estimated.
    Would definitely use them again.
