Took him a couple tries to find the problem as he couldn't duplicate overheating but he kept working it until he found the problem.

We had a terrible transmission fluid leak. The seals were completely blown in the transmission. Kenny had the work done and we had the car back in two days. The cost was well below what the dealer or Aamco wanted. He was polite and knew what he was talking about. He said what he was going to do and then did it with no games or excuses needed. It was nice being able to just hand it over to him and not worry about it.

Took my Mercury to Boo with a burn transmission.  I am the third owner of this car so I know the 350k miles are true.  They did a great job and the car runs and shifts smooth again.

    I-40 Transmission
Originally called I-40 transmission on Friday 1/31/2014 to inquire on their rates and timeframe of service. I received a quote of between $950 and $1450 to rebuild the transmission on my 2004 Chevy Trailblazer LS. The warranty is for 12 months or 15,000 miles. Was also assured that the service would be able to be completed within one week. I called around for other local transmission repairs, but all quotes were much higher and would take 7 - 10 days to complete. So, I called back on Saturday 2/1/2014 to see if I could set up a tow from my home location. I reached I-40 Transmission and got the number of the towing service and set up the tow for the same day. That was a relief since the vehicle was now unable to run in any gear except 2nd gear! Received a call on Wednesday 2/5/2014 from I-40 Transmission notifying me that my transmission rebuild was completed and the cost would be $1375, which was within the cost estimate I was told. Went to pick it up my vehicle on Thursday 2/6/2014. Upon driving the car I was amazed at how smoothly it was shifting! I am very happy with the service I received and would absolutely recommend I-40 Transmission to everyone!

I called Kason the afternoon before the day of service and set up an appointment for 8:30 a.m.  I told them that when I got the oil changed on the car that the mechanic there said there was a sensor out.  The car had started hesitating from 1st to 2nd gears.  They explained that it may be that or that it could be something else they would check it out.  I dropped the car off I 8:30 and they called by 10 a.m. and said the sensor had been replaced and that it was $50.18.

    Higgins Automatic Transmission
They gave me a firm fair price whereas others would only give a price range. Work was done on time. No complaints. Work done at their shop.

My 2001 Honda Odyssey broke down during a road trip. We were appro. 170 miles from home and had to be towed to a local garage in Lavonia, GA. I was told I needed a new transmission, and there was no repair shop anywhere near for transmissions. I rented a car locally, and finished my trip. When I arrived back in Charlotte, I called Matthews Towing for the tow and transmission replacement. The tow truck driver met me in Lavonia, got my Honda hooked up, followed me to return the rental car, waited while I returned the car and I was able to ride back to my home in Charlotte with him. The quote I got from Tom (the owner) for the tow and the new Honda transmission was $1,000 less than Honda quoted and Honda's quote did not include the tow! Also Tom's warranty was exactly the same as Honda's. All of Tom's employees were very nice and patient! The first transmission they installed was from Honda, and ended up malfunctioning as soon as I left the shop, so they had to do the whole thing again. My car works great now, but the whole ordeal took place over 3 months (not Tom's fault) the staff never made me feel like a "pain" or an inconvenience. My husband and I have been back several times for major and minor work. I totally trust the staff and they always explain the necessary repairs thoroughly. I highly recommend Matthews Towing.
